Panini Score Premier League 2021/22
Score will be a stand alone Premier League product this year and a UK exclusive. Pre-orders are up for retail boxes (max of 5) at £60 and fat pack boxes at £72 on the UK Panini site. Release date is listed as 9/12/21. Retail boxes have 3 numbered cards, 5 red parallels, 12 inserts and autos fall 1 in 5 boxes.

Thanks. I see that it doesn't ship to the US. Is that standard for Panini UK drops?
|
Wish we had access in the states. Even without much good info, would just love a new rip. Possible Ronaldo makes the checklist with the late transfer?
|
Honestly I think this is the first hobbyish UK exclusive they've done in the modern era so there's no real precedence. I'd imagine Ronaldo will be in as the release is still 3 months away and there are no mock ups yet.

Didn't realize the release was so far away. Should have all the summer transfers in and make for a pretty great checklist. |
I know many US guys may scoff at Score, but I'm excited for this set for the UK. Also, Score just feels like it works for football.
If done right, and so far I'd say it is based on pricing and SKU's, it looks like a very good bridge product between Adrenalyn and hobby. Much the same as MA Chrome was last year, but I'd say better, as MA Chrome still suffered IMO from the link to MA. I've gone in for 2 retail boxes which I think gives me 400 cards total - hopefully enough for a full set or the ability to trade there with plenty of doubles too. Autos being rare at 1:5 also mean they have a nice chance of appearing, but aren't the be all and end all. Parallels mean a nice low numbered chase or rainbow for those types of people (me included), and then a decent price point to appeal to set collectors. It's gonna be hard for it to go wrong from here. |
This is an easy pass for me even if it was in the US as Score doesn't interest me at all. Set would be a perfect set for kids but sadly I don't think they will get much of it.

It's a shame that it appears the fat-packs will have absolutely nothing in them other than base

Confused me too as I forgot the UK does their dates wrong too :D |
Are there any top-tier rookies expected this year? It seems like the more exciting young players are coming up through the other leagues and moving to England post-rookie cards other than the occasional Foden or Saka. Maybe some guys like Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea or whoever Hannibal is on Man U or Falorin Balogun of Arsenal would fit the bill, but I eyeballed the big 4 + Tott + Arsenal and didn't see too much to be excited about. Certainly no Wirtz or Musiala or Moukoko level guys on their current first team squads. If so might make for a brutal product if it also doesn't have autos or other attractions

To be fair you do it the way you do (mmddyyyy) as it was the way we used to do it too but switched to the same way (ddmmyyyy) everyone else does it around 1900. To be honest they are both the wrong way :p yyyymmdd in the most useful for anything computing related. |

PL products have a decent floor as there are many club collectors. It's a low end set that people will try and complete sets for their favourite club, and like Mitch says it's an attempt to bridge the gap between AdrenalynXL and hobby for new collectors. The ceiling won't be high as there aren't any big name rookies (which was the case with PL Prizm last year anyway) and likely no big chases (although Ronaldo and Beckham autos might change things). It will be the only show in town for a month or two, though, but once bigger releases come out it'll take a back seat. |

Kinda bummed this is UK only, would be a fun rip. Will try to put the Southampton set together atleast :)
|
Looks interesting - it'll be awhile until any singles pop up on the secondary market, but I'll be on the lookout for sure.
|
Don’t forget Harvey Elliott!
|
Any card images? I didn't see any....
|
Nope not yet

thanks for the heads up

Chong is a Birmingham on loan. Saw him live this week for the first time; pretty good player. Not sure he'll ever be a top side PL player, but looked promising. Feisty and competitive, but in the best way possible. From there though, hard to say - could be a few of the younger City lads included or Harvey Elliott may have a card (despite not being an RC). Oh, maybe Dane Scarlett from Spurs? |

Solve Collectibles has in it in stock. I checked and from the front page it gave me the option to send to USA, although I obviously didn't attempt to check that out. Maybe give them a try. I expect whilst it is UK exclusive, there will be ways and means around that if you'll pay the postage. if you just want Southampton though, buying singles will cost very little once boxes are being ripped open. |

Thanks for the heads up! May grab a couple. This would also make a great Christmas gift for my 11 year old. I'm just concerned it will be delayed and not make it in time. |

Great list. Panini UK did update the site with a Fat Pack box break. There ARE autos and parallels in there. PS They did tweet a checklist. It's a video though. Not sure how to embed here.
