Will Kevin Durant rookies ever approach Lebron rookies?
KD is generational, nearly as generational as LeBron. His rookie cards in comparison are very underpriced against LeBron's.
But if KD continues to build a dynasty in Nets, can his rookies approach LeBron's level? |
No……..

I've mentioned before, the exquisite Lebron card is expensive because it is one of the most iconic basketball cards of all time - the highest end rookie from the highest end upper deck product ever.
That premiere set exquisite factor itself will keep it the most expensive basketball card, ever, no matter how many more rings durant gets, despite Lebron being on it. However, I can see durant chrome rookies passing up lebron chrome rookies in the future if KD passes lebron in career rings, simply because neither card is from an iconic set. The 1996-97 chrome kobe is the most iconic chrome card ever. |
I feel like this has been debated to death, and from my understanding the consensus being reached is that people definitely know how good KD is, but that move to the Warriors and some of his social media faux pas have somewhat tainted his legacy a bit.
I think with that sentiment in mind, perhaps not, but I don't have a crystal ball. |
Needs 2 more rings and they will.

Not a chance. Sorry guys.

Anything is posibbllllllllllle! "Kevin Garnett"

It’s not purely about stats or rings. LeBron is bigger than basketball in a way that KD isn’t. He’s a pop culture icon. The dude was on the cover of Sports Illustrated with the headline “the chosen one” when he was in high school, and then managed to actually live up to that insane amount of hype. There’s just no surpassing that.
Maybe KD can beat his stats (and that’s a big maybe IMO), but LeBron’s personal brand > KD’s brand forever. |
Hes missing too many rings mvps defense awards too even come anywhere close although ide rather him have the fame lebron did instead

Curry has a better chance and Bron is about to become NBA all-time scoring leader. And Durant will never play a full-season, he will always be a part-time regular season player and a full-time post-season player.
|
Not likely at all. Look at the airtime given to the two players over the years – LBJ has been the face of the NBA for over a decade.
|
No...
|
Does it need to be?
|
Nope.
How often does KD make his teammates better? Last night was a rare example. Lebron has been doing it since day 1 everday. |
No shot, not even an argument about talent levels... Lebron is a global brand, his prices will always reflect that.
|
Maybe if he gets Space Jam 3 when he's completely bald

Cant a guy just gracefully bald? Tough crowd.. .lol |
Great performance last night!
Will Kevin Durant rookies ever approach Lebron rookies? If he wins two more rings and surpasses Lebron in all time scoring record. Lebron is currently at #3 and KD is at #31 |
IF he wins the chip in Brooklyn ...
then wins a chip for the knicks ... goes back to OKC and wins a chip there then goes to his home state and wins one for the wizards .... then yes. /ha |
That was an epic performance from KD last night. But the price thing is tough, Lebron as others pointed out has certain key advantages in brand and of course is ahead in a lot of basketball metrics/accomplishments as well. I think KD def has room to grow though over time if he racks up some more accomplishments (what a hot take!).

Curry has no shot and your crack about Durant is dumb: 80 games 74 games 82 games 78 games 81 games 81 games ...78 games the year he got hurt in GSW. |
