eBay Buyer to Block - Sellers Beware
Do yourself a favor and block thegreatestgame on ebay. No need to get lengthy:
1) Buys 20 card rookie lot of a hot rookie. 2) I get notice from ebay that he filed a claim with his bank that the item was not as described. 3) No communication at all, no ebay case, no nothing. 4) No option to get my cards back, and I am forced to refund. 5) Been on ebay less than 1 month and has also changed his ID during that time. Seems like he is working the loopholes in the system. |
Blocked - thank you.

File a mail fraud claim.

How would that even work? It's a sh*tty situaion for OP. Now that OP has to refund, how does he prove that the cards WERE received 'as described', after the fact? I would certainly hope that the buyer had to provide proof to his CC company/bank. Again.. I'd hope. But for common cards, that's easy to bait and switch. |
That really blows... completely making a joke of a system that is already a joke for sellers.
|
Thx - appreciate it

I'm curious. If you block a sellers name and they change it will they still remain blocked?
|
Thanks - blocked.

I've only sold 2 items on eBay since Jan, and pretty I'm much done with it because of nonsense like this. I've been selling on eBay since 1998 and the seller protection is next to nothing.

Done, thanks

it's supposed to and usually works. now if they create a new account and if ebay actually keeps a blocked list for us... |

Don't let it get you too down. This guy is a douche, but I sell many, many, many items on ebay every day. These guys do pop up, but it isn't as often as some claim. You just have to weed them out when you can, and share with the community to hopefully keep them from repeating it. Sucks for sure, but its part of the hobby unfortunately. |

Wish it was that easy, but like this below, I have to have proof. This guy knows that isn't possible.
How would that even work? It's a sh*tty situaion for OP.
