Anyone at Spring Training?
Just curious if anyone here is at ST (AZ or FL), what's the vibe? Are players signing, not signing, are they even "reachable" or are you 100 feet from them at all times?
Would be nice to hear some 2021 ST stories! |
haven't gone, know some people who have and some social media pix. In az people are spread out, there are boxes marked in the grass on where to sit. I'd have to guess and say the graphing is probably nil to rare. maybe better hitting up their hotels or houses where they are staying since they aren't allowed out.

Have seen multiple reports and had family friend go to several Cubs games. There is ZERO interaction. In fact there are signs throughout the stadiums that state players will not able to sign autographs. I have even been told (not sure the validity of this) that players have been instructed not to interact with fans out side of games as well with possible punishments being in place if they are caught. My suggestion is if you are going to games in the first half of this season go because you love the game not to try to get autographs.

Speaking on the 2021 regular season, I've seen the Orioles release their Health and Safety protocols. Among them is no autographs/gathering near the field/dugout, along with no bags or outside food (which Camden had allowed and was pretty flexible with for years)
Aside from balls being tossed in the stands, it seems fan interaction will be pretty non-existent, at least early on |
Ah, cool. That's what I thought. NO auto hounds...may be a good thing for games?!

Awwe the poor beggars must be super sad that they can’t sell their crumbs the kids in baseball uniforms gave them.

Leaving AZ right now. Tix were 10x the normal ..
All facility’s closed to the public unless it was for a game, no watching practices or anything, which is why we go really. There’s a couple spots at camelback ranch that we usually go to where you can catch BP homers but they weren’t having BP on those fields because Covid .. my son lucked out and got a couple balls thrown to him by some high number minor leaguers though so he was stoked. But I would save the money and not go until they open back up. We went for my kids 8u baseball tourney so it wasn’t out of the way luckily Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Grow up. |
I was at West Palm Springs this weekend and watched two games. On Saturday, it was the Mets and Nationals. No player interaction. Then on Sunday, it was the Astros vs. Nationals. No Nationals player interaction. On the Astros side, a couple signed, with notables being Gurriel, Altuve and Yordan. These probably signed between 5-10 each.

LOL trying to get good will for being frauds. |
Will be attending several games this week :flex:

The Phillies signed a few weeks ago when they went to one of the local restaurants near the stadium - but I haven’t been to any actual games
|
Went to Yankees Phillies last weekend in Tampa. Had my 4 year old with me. We were in the second row between 1B and RF for BP, with first row being roped off, unsold. He got a couple of balls, but no players came over for either team at all, even remotely close.
I am 5 min from Mets camp in St Lucie, but their tix are all sold out and cannot get in to most games for under 100$. |
