1923 w515 strip cards
thoughts ???
I recently picked up the ruth card, and today picked up the cobb. well, because, ......... they're RUTH and COBB !!! LOL  would have loved to pick up the goudey ruth, but that ship more than sailed. so , with the insane price increases on these two, I "zigged, while others are zagging". so to speak. the other ruth I have is the 1932 sanella ruth which is starting to see a decent increase in price. thoughts ??? and, thanks |
I also waited too long on the Goudeys and got priced out, so I went with a '48 Leaf Ruth this week. That being said, there are some Ruth/Gehrig strip cards I'm going to go after, but I'm not saying which ones until I get them because I don't need the prices run up even more insane than they already are getting.

Nice
Great decision in my opinion. I picked up a Ruth 1923 515-1 about 10 years ago. I think the Sanella Ruth's are a smart buy as well. They were hot back in the 1990's when Alan Hager was selling them up and once people found out it was Hager and that there were a lot more than originally thought they dropped in price.

THANKS for the feedback ! interestingly enough, after I bought my ruth (sgc 3) at an Indiana card show, an sgc 2 ruth sold on march 8th for $ 2,337 and it basically had a "hole" in the top border. it was a 1923 515-1. I actually bought a 1923 515-2 which is actually more rare. psa has graded approx. 60 515-1's and 20 515-2's. (do not know about sgc) |
