When will the Blazers Trade CJ freeing up Anfernee & Gary?
The Blazers suck, but the kids on the team can play . Trade CJ for Blake Griffin or something & unleash the youngsters. So sick of old man Melo’s isolations & Dame Ball hogging like he’s a young AI

I thought of this one the other day
With Covington and the emergence of DJJ, I think they would be fine defensively with Vucci. He was actually a pretty good defender per Raptor last year, the best on the Magic if you don't shrink down the minutes played to include Isaac, Bamba, or Birch. Would give Portland that steady presence at the 5 that they desperately need with Nurk, but sadly have been too unlucky with his health. For Orlando, with Isaac and now Fultz out, they should probably look at acquiring assets and aiming for a better pick in a loaded draft. They can't compete without Isaac, so they should look to build around their young core of JI, Fultz, and Bamba. This frees up minutes for them to finally develop Bamba too. Nurk is signed to a very cheap deal and should be very tradeable once he gets healthy. Simons gives them a nice young shooter to perhaps pair with Fultz and take over for Fournier, who's clearly on his way out. I see this as pretty win/win, guessing Portland may throw Orlando a pick as well. |

Not for anything long term just to free up Sekou on the Pistons & Simons & Trent on the blazers. Blake Griffin is no long term solution to anything. He’s so far over the hill, he could be king of that hill |

Well....that's pretty much all the offense they've got left with CJ and Nurkic out injured. |

Remember they also just drafted Okeke so they have another big still waiting for minutes, and they’re only 1 game out of the division lead so it’s not like they’re thinking full tank yet. |

...did we...just become best friends? |
I was thinking today that Drummond might be a good add. Especially with Nurk injured again.

Friend Sekou will be an all-star by 2023 when Griffin gets the boot. Dr. Doom is a superstar in training only facts. We are now best friends haha |

Kanter is expiring - he can be easily flipped at the trade deadline. Collins is out indefinitely/forever and has a Qualifying Offer for next year - not totally sure how that works for a forever-injured guy but guessing the team has more power in that case. I like Okeke too, and yeah, Kanter and Collins are just to make the $$ work. The trade for Orlando would be Simons and probably a 1st round pick. Plus Nurk is a nice trade asset once healthy and like I mentioned, on a very cheap contract. |

I want Drummond on the blazers, or the Celtics both need him. I want Beasley from the Wolves to join Luka, same with KAT & Aaron Gordon |

I'm a diehard Blazer fan and I'm ready to blow it up. My crazy thought is to trade Dame and CJ both. Blow it up. Get Ben Simmons and MPJ. Roll out a 5 with Nurk/Simmons/MPJ/GTJ/Ant. It'd be entertaining as hell.
|
If CJ gets better you could trade him to the Hawks for Bogdan and Snell. We'd take him if you're just giving him out. The Hawks badly need a long term answer at SG.

I love Dame. It's been a good run. But I'm being honest, the Blazers don't have a window. I'm tired of watching more athletic teams crush the Blazers. The Blazers have been running out pretty much the same team for 5 years now. Same offense, same defense. It's hard because Dame as a player is amazing to watch, but the team as a whole...5 years of PnRs and drop defense that has been mostly terrible. The spark is gone. Dame and CJ are at their peak and it's not good enough. Dame busts his ass for us every night and I also feel like we aren't worthy of him. So I'd rather get two budding stars under 25, watch them grow, and hope they can attain that 10% chance at a level of play that could open a real championship window for the team. I also like the idea two players that aren't going to get pushed around like Dame and CJ have been for years. |
I really wanna see what Simons can do if he got the chance to get good minutes.

I say add Drummond at all costs and blow it up in the off-season if it doesn’t work. We need someone to slow teams from scoring on us like we have seen and we need rebounding. Nurk unfortunately isn’t the answer. Great player but his weaknesses are amplified on the current roster and staying healthy is the most important thing. I also wouldn’t mind Dwight Howard at a lesser cost. We need some meat in the middle though. |
