I saw the checklist Topps put out today and was going to post a thread, but you beat me. Thanks ok because yours is much better than mine would have been! :p
I don't go hard on this or anything but collecting Twins winners is always fun. Donaldson could be a tough chase this year if his calf is a problem again. I like throwing in whatever codes I happen to get from retail releases too. I've had a better win rate than I probably should have! I hope we get back closer to the 2018 winner designs. That one needed a little more color variation since both March/April and August, as well as May and July look way too similar. The colors in 2019 were great but the design sucked. Last year's was fine but not my favorite |
With a huge RC checklist for series 1 I would have thought at least one would have made it.
Other notes: Eugenio Suarez - his production dropped greatly in 2020 so why is this his first year? Why would the two highest 2020 HR hitters, Luke Voit and Jose Abreu, be left off this checklist? I know they can't just look at 2020, but Abreu has a .520 career slugging and Voit a .527, so that wasn't an anomaly. Yet they keep getting overlooked for this set. |
Where was the checklist posted?

This is always a fun bonus for buying flagship. I'm looking forward to having multiple months this year. I have horrible luck actually getting winners, but it adds an additional layer of interest to the games. Looking forward to the season even more now.

And it’s only Official if Juanny posts it! I was secretly hoping my guy Torres would be left off so I wouldn’t have to pump money into this again. I keep telling myself to stop, but I know what’s going to happen... |

Been fun being in the thread the last few years but don’t think I’ll playing this year. Honestly the scratching and entering every single night became a chore! Also Topps has messed up my winners each year. Maybe I’ll go after a single PC guy and hope Topps has figured out the hiccups by now.

I wanted to see some RCs also. The Yordan Alvarez from 2020 was a giant tease and left me wanting more. Surprised no 2nd year players are on the checklist either (Randy Arozerana, Kyle Lewis, Luis Robert...) The checklist does do a better job a representing more teams. They got 22 teams this year (21 after Lindor signed with the Mets) compared to 17 team last year and 16 team in 2019...Notice the checklist starts out sorted by teams, but then that falls off towards the end. Kinda seems like Suarez, Bryant and Chapman were late adds. |
Sitting it out this year. But keen to see if fourth time is the charm for Topps.

Rules and HRC page have been posted. I dont see many differences from prior years other than the quantity of HRC Insert code cards.
2020 stated insert print run: Series 1-478,000 + Series 2-285,500= 763,500 2021 stated insert print run: Series 1- 764,800 + Series 2- 456,800= 1,221,600 Nothing we already didnt know. Lots more product coming this year. Man, Topps really hates Canadians. |

Man, Topps really hates Canadians.
Canada hates Canadians. And the question is something like “what is 6 plus 4?” (Would hate to subvert the regulations, but maybe keeping one of these bad boys ready...) If Matt Davidson hits a BP homer on the backfields on Feb 26th, who do I get to sue?

Ah, the best of times! |
Interesting to see some results of large lots coming from breaks.
Were seeing players like Soler, Schwarber, Suarez and Yordan Alvarez getting hit multiple times (10-20x duplicates) and other players like Yelich and Betts not getting pulled at all. Fun to see a trend of which players are more common than some others. In 2019 we had some hard evidence with this but the last few years its only been speculation. |
These are the ones I hit in 17 blasters, 4 hangers, and 1 jumbo box
HRC-2 Ronald Acuña Jr. x2 HRC-6 Javier Baez HRC-7 Kyle Schwarber HRC-11 Yordan Alvarez HRC-12 Alex Bregman HRC-17 Josh Donaldson x 3 HRC-19 Aaron Judge HRC-20 Gleyber Torres HRC-21 Bryce Harper HRC-22 Giancarlo Stanton HRC-23 Fernando Tatis Jr. HRC-26 Vladimir Guerrero Jr. HRC-27 Juan Soto x2 HRC-29 Kris Bryant x2 HRC-30 Matt Chapman |
I pulled 2 out of the 3 blasters I opened... Gleyber Torres & Rafael Devers... don't expect I'll be playing this year (still disgruntled from the crapshow that was 2019 HRC)!

Bringing this to the top!
Can we enter codes on the site now as a storage and pick which games we want to use them on or can we only enter on the day of? I've always just picked the day but I have a stack of codes ready! |

It can be any date in the future, but you have to select it at time of code entry. (And unless they’ve changed it, you can’t enter a code on the day of a game. There’s a 3am cutoff, that in reality was anywhere from midnight to 3am.) Also they don’t check a schedule, so you can pick days without games scheduled. Finally, it’s not a great idea to pick in the future due to player injuries etc. |
Fellers, its the week before opening day. Code registration is open!
|
Seeing a few comments around stating some of the Donaldson codes are appearing as Devers. I've entered about 3 sets of codes and haven't experienced it. I have had a Torres turn into Tatis. Seems to be scattered so be sure to check your codes!
