Teach me about the points.

I'm looking at top-loaders and one-touches. What's the difference between 35/55/75/100 pt.? And how do I know which card needs what?

55 pt. is 20 pts. bigger than 35 pt.

Seriously though, it's the thickness of the holder (larger numbers can hold thicker cards. As for which sizes can fit which cards, I have no clue man. That's been a mystery to me forever, but since I stick to mostly baseball and very few relics, the 35 and 55's have been my go-to.

35 point is your standard card
55 point is great if you pull refractors or inserts which are slightly thicker
75 point are your normal / basic relics
After that it depends on the set and how thick the card is ... Hope this helps a little bit

You can print this out, and use it to measure the cards and determine the right top loader size. For baseball 99% of the time you are gonna need regular top loaders with are 20 point or slightly thicker top loaders which are 55 or 60 point. These are for Topps Chrome autos and cards that thickness.

You can use this when determining card thickness.

Thank you, you’ve been immensely helpful! Especially the printout, Bradley!

Not to highjack but I was wondering what size toploaders people use for thicker chrome cards. The parallels seem to be too thick for a standard toploader. Should I be using 59 pt?

I'm too slow. Thanks for the answers above.
