Philly Non Sports Show for May is Canceled.
I just received this e-mail this morning that the May show has been canceled. On top of that, with ongoing Covid-19 concerns, the merchant Square Mall is not hosting any conventions in 2021, so they are looking for a new venue too. Announcement is below.
SPECIAL PHILLY SHOW ANNOUNCEMENTS We regret to inform Philly Non-Sports Card Show attendees and collectors the May 2021 Philly Non-Sports Card Show has been cancelled. The health of everyone involved is the most important thing and it does not look like conditions will be good enough by May to safely hold the show. We anticipate things will be better by the Fall, allowing us to hold the show. Speaking of which.... Due in large part to COVID-19, the Merchants Square Mall in Allentown will discontinue hosting conventions in 2021. We have already begun the search for another facility and will keep everyone informed. Depending where we go, we may have to change the date. We are trying our best to hold the show in October. Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for updates. Thanks all and stay safe! |
Oaks convention center would make sense. It'd be closer to Philly, you have rooms from small to freaking huge, maybe?

Would probably be more expensive to.

Yes absolutely. But people do run very successful niche market shows out of there, you could get more vendors than fit in allentown, I don't know just the first place that came to mind. |
Probably be cancelled in October too. I'm guessing 2022 will be the year conventions start up again.

They should find a fairground that has one of the big Pavillion tent things. That way it would technically be outdoors

This. If its cancelled at one location, moving it elsewhere solves nothing. There's a reason its cancelled. I'll make up for no shows in 2021 by attending double in 2022. |
New show location announced....

I haven't gone in about 5 years. But it may be time for me to give it another go at the new location. |
Shame Philly had to cancel but folks can always come to the Chicago show on 5/21 & 5/22

Great news to be having the show at the Greater Philly Expo Center. I have been attending the Philly Non Sport show since it was in Bucks County in the 1980s.
