Made a deal...my guess sold out from under me by a higher offer. Was posted in several facebook groups. But Dustin Venable isn't a man of his word sadly to honor the deal, nor do I feel his no paypal statement is correct. May it is, but I'd of worked a deal just the same.

I felt offer was fair. Deal for the card was $375. If anyone finds another, I'll buy at that price. Preferring one that will grade at least a PSA 8. This sadly was my 2020 send off purchase and a true gem needed for the Regristry set

Someone on the forums with an active sales thread just pulled something similar...I claimed two cards in his thread, I made an offer in his thread, he made me an offer via PM, and by the time I woke up he had sold one of them to someone else because they were buying more from him.

While it's hardly a scam in both instances, it's definitely not the way to do business with people. That's why I mostly stick to buying singles off eBay; people on the BoC forums, Reddit, Facebook, etc. are getting scammed too often for me to risk any amount of money, really, and then you have to deal with these kind of people on top of the scammers? No thanks!

Looks to me like you followed the posted rules and made first legitimate claim, but card got sold to another anyway. Not cool.
