Luka NT Logan sold for 3.2 million...(allegedly)

So, a lot of you have probably seen this video. I had not seen it yet but was alerted to it today. Blowout Buzz had a thread on this a few days ago that I think got overlooked.

I think it's the best video I've seen so far that captures what is happening in the card market.

Anyway, near the end of the video in passing Leore mentions that the Luka 1/1 Logoman recently sold in a private deal for 3.2 million.

Did I miss a thread on this? That seems...well...pretty big.

That is all.

KhalDrogo 12-14-2020 09:37 PM

Shyne bought it a month or two ago.

Miz 12-14-2020 09:40 PM

I don't think the price was disclosed by the buyer and so if thats the price it wasn't for us to know and it might just be chatty Patty's making up #@#@#@#@

I did find it odd that he would mention the price of the private sale like that. Either he has loose lips and it just slipped out in the heat of the moment, or Shyne doesn't care, or there is a bit of collusion going on.

Just watching the big time players talk about the hobby, unless you have a really rare card, a PSA 10 or a BGS 10/ Black Label is a must for if you want to be taken seriously in that level

I reached out to Leore on IG and asked him if he’d be interested in my card and it was a very polite “Nah”

Spacemanspif 12-14-2020 10:08 PM

pretty interesting, I just kinda flipped through it quickly but nice to see the messaging get out to the mainstream.

anyone else find it hilarious that they were flipping through a cello pack of chronicles throughout the video? probably wanted to show some kind of visual of someone holding and opening cards and it was the cheapest thing they could get, but still funny talking about million dollar cards while flipping through paper versions of De'Andre Hunter and Brandon Clarke

CardmanDan 12-14-2020 10:11 PM

He probably paid like $350,000-$450,000 for it. Nice ten bagger (nearly) if true

The guy with sheets covering his windows instead of blinds. SELL

ThePackLife 12-14-2020 10:24 PM

Here I am thinking I'm doing something picking up Crusade PSA 10's for $220. lol

Quick question though...

Would any of you NOT sell at that price?

I would not. Never sell irreplaceable cards.

Same boat for me. 3.2 is life changing money for most BUT that Luka 1of1 logoman tho...

pcptrade 12-14-2020 10:38 PM

FWIW...Luka RPA/99 PSA 10 sold for 500K recently....allegedly. I heard from someone at IG

I would’ve sold the card for less.

Unless I'm sitting on a mountain of money and can afford to hold/potentially take a loss without blinking an eye I'm selling at that price.

No lies. Me too in a heartbeat.

sportzluvr1 12-14-2020 11:17 PM

I could eat a lot of ass with 3.2

Spacemanspif 12-14-2020 11:22 PM

Lol at people claiming they’d turn down early retirement for a piece of cardboard

Certainly a puff piece on the top 1% of collectors to legitimize what's going on and to hype certain investors "investments".

Whatcha gonna do, though? This is what they do.

But I was told the LeBron Exquisite was already nearing a $5M value?

I'll take life changing money over a damn card. You'll always have the memories of pulling the card, might as well cash in while these hypebeasts are doing stupid crap. An intelligent person that has a general idea what they are doing can do a ton with 3.2 million, especially if invested correctly.

Shyne was busting many cases of Immaculate last night on IG live and he did mention that he was not thrilled that Leore spilled the beans on his purchase. Very understandable since not everyone seems to know that the Luka logoman even changed hands.

Its all hearsay anyway but that's why if you're selling, cash is king.

Miz 12-15-2020 12:37 AM

I spoke with Shyne earlier and he stated Leore had no permission to leak details of a private sale. Was a whistle-blower and did it for attention. Not a stand up thing to do. If it was private, the details should have stayed as such.
