1993 Pinnacle Cooperstown Dufex Set Question
 

Over the weekend I bought a 1993 Pinnacle Cooperstown Dufex set and was thrilled because I got such a good deal. My question is do you think it is better to have some or all of them graded and if so should I send in a couple from the set to see how the rest will fair?

For what reason? Personal collection or resale? Looks like they're rare enough and have a lot of star power that selling them without grading would be just fine. Most will go to player collectors that don't care about grading.

I was just thinking that they would be an easier sell when or if the time comes to do so, not sure if spending the $10 to grade would work if they came back as 8's and 9's. But it may improve the price if I can score some 10's is what my thinking was. I would most likely keep the Griffey and the Mattingly since I PC them.

If you bought only 1 set, keep what you want to PC and post the rest on here or a FB group. If you bought a case of them, then cherry pick and grade.

Okay, so look up the "sold values" of those cards and compare to what it would cost you in time and money to grade them for the $10/card rate. These cards are kind of timeless; not like the market will be flooded with them whenever you get them back.

Most (not all) 90s collectors don't care about the grade on a card like that. I'd pay no more for a PSA 9 than I would for raw. Unless you have a guaranteed 10 I wouldn't waste the money

Thank you for all of the feedback, I purchased the set for $15 so I think I will grade the guys that I PC for protection and keep the others ungraded
