I think it’s amazing that a team offers it’s star $100+ Mill to stay and he turns it down.

He’s forcing the issue for a Brooklyn trade.

KD, Harden, Kyrie.... that’s an ISO epidemic, excuse the pun.

Let him go to the Nets. 3 giant ego's all who want the ball and even more so when it's time to hit the game winning shot. That team will implode as they all will be complaining they are not getting the shots they want.

I don't blame Harden for trying to leave H-Town. I just don't know why they even traded Capela, which he was great at rebounding and all around play at the rim. I know he was in a slump, but why trade your best bigman on your team? As for small ball it is good to watch, but when the playoffs come around, you need a good anchor in the middle to give your team a chance at winning. The Lakers proved that small ball doesn't win championships. All i have to say to James is, good luck up there in Brooklyn.

Houston built the entirety of their franchise around Harden. Everything they did was for Harden. And now he’s bailing on them because it didn’t work.

At least we’ll never have to hear him whine about deserving an MVP if he goes to Brooklyn.

Man, Houston really going down in flames. Fertitta looks like he may end up challenging Dolan and Sarver for title of worst owner in the league.

But wasn't it Harden who forced the franchise's hand and pushed for them to trade Paul and get Westbrook? if so, he made his bed on that one. I want to see how it works if Harden goes to Brooklyn, that seems like a combustible mix of egos and lack of defense (at least on Harden and Kyrie's parts).

Can't blame Hardon for wanting to leave the West. He can't win in the West, so might as well go to the East. Kyrie is a cancer and then add the former teammates with him and it should be must see TV...….

I don’t think Houston trades him this year. They will wait for the right package. He is signed for two years.

Those Houston Picks to OKC are starting to look better and better. Cant wait for the Clippers to implode next!

A blogger/reporter who nailed several Philly sports rumors [Bryce and Girardi before they were announced] said that Philly is offering Horford, Shake, Thybulle, Zhaire, and multiple first rounders for Harden and HOU is seriously considering it.

Before you ask why would HOU want Horford, he has to be included to make the salaries match. And HOU would still save like 15% off Harden's deal.


Harden would certainly solve the 76ers spacing issues....obv knows Daryl Morey well.

I think he gets overly criticized at times for being a bad defender, but if he forces a trade and HOU moves him, he will be more vilified than Durant and LBJ combined when they left.

My issue is that the franchise catered to Harden, and gave him significant say in on court and off court decision making. That is direct from WOJ’s mouth. Now he wants out of the system that he was very much responsible for because it didn’t work out.

I agree with this one. It’s quite clear things aren’t working for him in Houston.

Dwight, CP3, Westbrook. All yielded the same results.

This is not a KD or even Lebron situation. It’s quite clear he or Houston needs a change of scenery.

He's bailing on them because he has some basic foresight and recognizes what everyone else has, that Frittata, as Bill Simmons would call him, is an idiot.

Either Morey didn't want to work for him, or Frittata forced him out because of the China situation, but going from Morey to Stone is a giant, giant downgrade.

Then they hired a cheap coach who hasn't proven himself and is in the NBA because his dad was a coach.

He will not win a ring with Harden. He will get less touches, and even if they win people will not care because his legacy will include another super team championship. He was clearly the best player in the two NBA Finals he won. Kyrie is a great 1B to him. Absolutely no need to bring Harden in to ruin it.

The thought of Harden, Simmons, Embiid, and Harris on the court is must see imo.

I would much rather see harden go to philly then the nets. Simmons won’t have to worry about shooting. I can see harden getting doubled on the perimeter, kicking it to Simmons, and Simmons finding embiid for easy buckets. Harden to the nets make no sense to pair with kyrie and kd.

Long term, not a good thing when a top 5 NBA player is turning down massive money from his current team in order to leave.

I'm all for players having power and being able to play where they want when they're free agents. But it's not a really good thing when top players are consistently changing teams. Especially when they're under contract for a few more years and being offered historic extensions.

Durant RCs are already in the middle of an uptick.
Once Brooklyn starts winning, They will climb right after the beginning of the season. What if Durant bests LeBron again in the finals? :)!

To be fair, Harden will be 32 next year, got traded from OKC - not his idea - and has been everything Houston could have asked for ever since.

It's not like he's Lebron, moving every 2-4 years to join a new superteam.

Nobody thinks the 76ers are a superteam, hahaha.
