Ah, the good 'ole golden turd parallel. Love it.
|
So is that the base card? Looks like they messed up trying to color in the edges using Microsoft Paint.
|
Obviously it is not the base since that's a chrome card

The article says that’s the “Prospector’s Special Variation” and have bunch of color parallels in addition to the normal chrome parallels. So, I’m assuming that this means chrome parallels will double or more in print run compared to this year, and more base chrome autos(?). |
Hope they realize they forgot the "1st" status on the Torkleson card....

What if his first is in Draft? |

It's bc he's in Draft, obviously. |

Looks like they just tweaked the design for 2021 Topps
|
Hobby Cases will open at $4K, Jumbos at $5500. :coffee:

The reason I don't open my allocations anymore....craziness... |

Awesome! Glad they will be discounted this year. Locking in at anything under $7,000. |
Not a bad design, kinda feels like 2019 and 2020 put together. Nice as a Twins fan to see Sabato autos planned already!
What in the world is the parallel in the OP? It looks like California Wildfire 1/1 |

That’s what I was thinking. $500/hobby box would be $6000 cases. |
What if his first is in Draft?
Yup, good point, forgot about draft. :)! |
Austin Martin should be in here hopefully.

Shouldn't he be in 2020 Draft? |
Who knows?
I have no idea, I'm terrible at the is he in this or is he in that

:coffee::coffee::coffee: (Not based on what I saw ... you should see it pop any time.) |

Hope Austin Martin is in draft. Heston Kjerstad should have his 1st in Bowman 2021 normally am i right? |
Hope Austin Martin is in draft. Heston Kjerstad should have his 1st in Bowman 2021 normally am i right?
Correct. And Sabato makes sense as a late-1st round holdout to 2021, which they've also done with regularity (Volpe this year, Beer from 2018 draft)

Oh, I'm a designer of some ilk so I'll opine on the design as well.
Frankly, it's a blend of 2020 Topps & 2015 Bowman. Although it's altogether improvement of both of those, it does not best 2020 design-wise for me. I'm not a fan of sharp angular design elements when they're not for something that's not sharp & angular. So, these elements in something like a Tools of the Trade set would be just fine. But as a base set, nah. Lots of positives though. They pair a bit with the 2021 Topps design, which in future years will be nice. All the supplementary angle bits compliment the main design. That's NOT easy, and this design does it well. Like 2016, there's a graphic element pointing to a corner that makes centering easy to discern. So this is another positive Bowman design for me overall. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
