Fake Custom Fati Rookies graded and sold
 

Hey everyone,

I was debating the status of Fati's Rookie sticker when I was told about a listing for an 18/19 Fati sticker. I had never heard about this and no one had ever mentioned it before. Now, when you look at the BGS label there is no number for the sticker. As well, it lists Fati's team as FC Barcelona but yet he never played any senior games for Barcelona at this point. Once you look at the back of the sticker it really pops out: mypanini.com.

Mypanini.com is a place where anyone can make custom stickers based on templates that exist. If you go onto the site you choose the template, upload a photo and can mess with what the card says.

My last concern is that when you look at the back of the stickers sold on ebay, the card number is DIFFERENT for each one. When has it ever been that a base sticker from colleciones este changes numbers? I have never seen this before.

Did BGS grade custom stickers that someone made on Panini's website themselves?

Now, there are two sellers who have sold these stickers:
-1972soccerstickers
-SmallTraditions(Infamous card trimmer that has 0 respect for this hobby)

Since April 24th, 3 BGS 9.5 of these stickers have been sold all by Small Traditions.

I have reached out to 1972 to understand what these stickers are. As well, I have attached photos with my findings.

What do you all think? This is just my findings. I may be completely missing something!

1972 has replied and said that he does in the description list it as custom. I checked this and he did.


I guess my main concern now is why are these being graded by BGS and is it a coincidence that Small Traditions is the one selling all BGS 9.5s of these CUSTOM stickers?

It looks fake! the BGS holder specifically has minor flaws that pop to me in comparing it to my cards from BGS.
I've heard horror stories on BGS and soccer stickers but this would be the end of it for me and them if they actually did grade this crap

Couldn't agree more. This is getting out of hand. I've heard from others they've graded fake #71 Messis.

I will email BGS tomorrow to see what they say. The sticker literally says mypanini on it for all of the BGS slabbed listings on ebay. How could they miss this?

Second example. Please note the different # under his name.

Please note the BGS label from the Small Traditions one has no card number. The label would make anyone think this is from the official set of Panini Colleciones Este.

But the current listing has the card number as #NNO on the BGS slab???? I am very confused.

The current listing for a BGS 9.5 of this card is from someone who bought it from 1972soccerstickers as the # is the same on the back as a raw one that 1972 sold. So my guess is the current listing seller doesn't know this is a custom sticker as they advertise it as a sticker from the 18/19 colleciones este set.

Yup this was posted in the fb group long back, you can make customs from mypanini with any picture provided. Some abuse this to include the same picture as the rookie and will sell it.

I mentioned these a while ago (not sure if on here or Reddit actually)

eBay is awash at the moment with "custom" stickers and plenty seem o be selling like hot cakes :-/
