Buying cards from Chinese, Taiwanese, Asian seller
 

Hi, does anyone here have experiences in buying card from oversea sellers on Ebay? I'm looking to buy the PSA10 graded cards from a seller in China. What i'm concern is if I will have to pay import tax? I'm not too sure about this since the cards should be originated (with or without the certificate of origin) from the US. Also when you buy from overseas seller, do you have to pay the Ebay's US sales tax?

I just recently ordered and received some cards from China, Austrailia, and Germany. No issues at all, no fees, and no customs holds (thankfully). Took about 2 months to get here, but China wasn't doing any shipping except for by ship when I had my card shipped. I'd ask about the available methods of shipping available so you don't get a shock and find out it's 2-3 months due to shipping by boat.

I’ve purchased from Australia and South Korea in the last few months. No problems or added fees. It just takes a long time for the cards to arrive.

I was thinking about this today. All things being equal what kind of discount do you think these foreign sales have? Or is there none at all.

I would think a person might pay up for the same card knowing the seller had a good rep and was USA based so they do not have to wait months for the card

I bought a Optic Lebron Holo from a guy in Singapore last month off of FB. Didn't pay any tax.

I had an issue with a seller from China a few yrs back. Bought a Jordan BMOC raw. Sent it in to be graded only to find out it was fake.

I can’t be sure the seller knew it was fake or not, but ever since, i won’t buy any cards from anywhere overseas. Graded or non-graded.
