[B]What is a player auction?[/B]

Well, a player auction is very similar to a player draft break - except you bid on the spots that you want similar to any auction online. The few differences are: 1. forum posts are used to bid and 2. the bidding deadline is usually not set until the auction has reached (or nearly reached) the break even point.

We understand that player auctions are not for everyone - so please feel free not to join.

[COLOR=#008000][B]For your bids to count, you MUST include the card # and name where applicable. I might not allow a bid without these - especially the last hour.[/B][/COLOR]

Bids are in $2.00 minimum increments until the spot reaches $20.00 and then $5.00 minimum increments after $20.00. Once a spot reaches [B]$200[/B], bid increments become $10. Please, whole dollar bids only (no $5.01 bids). Please no +5 bids. (Because someone could bid $100 at the same time and therefore your bid becomes +105?) You can bid more than $2/$5/$10, but that is the minimum.

Any bid made with change ($5.86, $100.99, etc) will be rounded up to the next whole dollar. Please only make whole dollar bids.

There is a minimum bid set for each spot already. Bids are in $2.00, $5.00, or $10.00 minimum increments. [B]You may certainly bid more than the minimum.[/B]

[B]Shipping[/B] - [U]Shipping is extra[/U], but we will do our best to charge you actual shipping. We will combine shipping based on your final lots as well. We can ship approximately 500 cards for $7.55 priority mail. If your total exceeds $250, we need to add $2.45 for signature confirmation. We can ship approximately 1000 cards for $12.80 medium flat rate. International is extra and may need signature. In some instances of very high bids, I may require express shipping, but if you are in that situation, you won't care.

[B]Supplies[/B] - Approximately $2 per spot. Supplies are extra. I know this is high for some spots & low for others.

[B]Paypal Fees[/B] - $0.30 plus 2.9% for US. $0.40 plus 3.9% international.

[B]Warning[/B] - If you pick an auto, you may get nothing. If that player has 10 autos, you get all 10; if that player gets 0 autos, you get 0. Same is true for all other spots.

[B]Sniping[/B] - If you wait until the last minute, you may miss out. Fair warning.

[B]Bidding[/B] - Please understand that you must include the card # where applicable. Bids without the card # may not count. Please do not edit your post though. If you made a mistake, simply post again with the correction. Please bid in at least the minimum increment ($2.00 or $5.00 once a spot reaches $20.00 or $10.00 once a spot reaches $200). You may not retract your bid unless it is an obvious error (like a $4000 bid instead of $40.00).

I have other breaks happening at the same time but I will guarantee you an average of at least 3 cases a day. I will start out breaking early in the day and end up doing all night breaks. I have 150 cases to open.

Shipping time - I expect to ship these within 10 days (barring any unforeseen issues). I will keep you updated as I go. I will have teams doing all the sorting, packaging, and shipping.

Jumbo: 8 boxes per case, 12 packs per box, 32 cards per pack. 3 autos per box, 24 autos per case, 120 hobby autos this break.

[B]Chrome Prospect Autographs: [/B]You get every prospect auto for that spot including all parallels & plates. It does not include insert autos of any kind. [U]Photo variations are included.[/U]

[B]Chrome Player Lots: [/B]You get every card for that spot including all parallels & ALL plates (plates for chrome & paper). It does not include inserts of any kind. Photo variations are included.

[B]Colored Paper: [/B]If you win the corresponding slot, you get every card from this parallel.

[B]Paper Base: [/B]Please contact me via pm to purchase all 150 cases worth.

[B]Insert Lots: [/B]You get every parallel and auto (if listed) for your insert lot.

[B]Unannounced cards, hits, parallels: [/B]If there is an unannounced color in the auto or non-autoed chrome spots, they will go to the player lots (auto or non). If there is a whole insert set, it will be added to the auction. Anything like the pink set redemption cards or player draft day caps will be decided on an individual basis. Remember, you get what you are bidding on only. If you have a question about what is or is not included, ask - blind assumptions will not be honored. If we hit a golden ticket, we will deal with it separately.

7. We strongly encourage you to bid what you are willing to pay. That way, if you are outbid at the last minute, it won't matter since you bid what you were willing to pay.

8. International bidders are fine, but International shipping with tracking is expensive and will be included.

In these large auctions, the autos must carry the lion's share - usually 65% to 75%. The higher the better. If autos get under 60%, your auction is probably going to lose money - at least compared to current prices. My rule of thumb is 70% autos, 20% chrome, 10% inserts/parallels.

Now, current retail for these cases is $35k. I know, I know, but they would probably get more than $35k right now and that's just the truth.

20% of $35k is $7k. So I would want these chrome spots to raise $7k. Anything over is great, of course, but that's my goal. These spots raised over twice that; heck, the top 10 players raised more than $7k. That's crazy. Good for our auction, but crazy nonetheless.

I expect the autos, once we finally learn the checklist, will raise more than the 70% needed. Assuming this is true (and let's be honest, it is true), I will have extra cases for you.

As part of these extra cases, I would like to include boxes of 2020 1st Edition. The base and foils would go to the chrome player lots. Any autos would go to the prospect auto spot.

Once the dust has settled, I will have a more exact measure for you all.

Now regarding the autos I have in my list, it is just what we have seen from 2020 1st Edition - without a checklist who the hell knows? If a player on my list is NOT in 2020 Bowman, then the final bid is null and void. If you paid, I will refund in full.

For the players we don't know, that is no problem really. We can do a 24 hour auction, no sweat. Again, just need a checklist.[/QUOTE]
