So is Panini hoping people forget they redeemed Kobe autographs?
 

Seriously, over 2 months and NO update

If that's your take then you shouldn't be reading a forum about trading cards.

Obviously the coronavirus is bigger than anything posted on a trading card site but that goes without saying.

My problem is that the entire month of February and Half of March went by before Coronavirus postponed the season and in that time there has been NOTHING from Panini.

They've had time to list Optic for sale on their site, they've had time to update blockchain but they've done nothing about Kobe redemptions.

Different aspects of the company between the ones that list and those that deal with redemptions.

In addition there was a large flood of I have a Kobe auto to 199 give me a Durant Logoman Auto they had to deal with.

They will come up with something or you can reach them directly and ask them for a replacement.

Besides that, 2 months is nothing. I've had unanswered redemptions sitting at theri place for up to like 4 years back then without anything being done about it.

GL with your Kobe's anyway, hope Panini comes through.

Good Luck with your Kobe. This year, there is no excuse for redemption not getting fulfilled. I still have a redemption from 2015 luckily a player who has no collecting value.

I’ve been waiting over a year for an 17-18 Optic Kobe gold auto /10. I’m definitely curious as to what I’m going to get as a replacement.

Thanks, I definitely agree that you can't have the customers tell them what they want because there will be unreasonable demands. I just wish they had some sort of statement addressing this issue with a resolution since we are there customers and not vice versa.

At least it's better than asking us to pick a team. Some of us aren't even a fan of a team, we're more of a player fan.

I emailed them as I too have an infilled Kobe redemption out of 17-18 Optic. They informed they are aware of the situation and will be making a press release statement in the upcoming months. They clearly stated that they do not have the stickers to fulfill all the redemptions.

Upcoming months could literally mean two years if you go off Panini's terms. Absolutely ridiculous. How come companies like this are never held accountable for their actions?

They even claim that Kobe was an ambassador to their company... So this is how you treat your ambassador's fans after a tragic situation like that??? unbelieveable...

I am waiting on an autograph from 2012 Black of Matt Kalil. I should get it replaced, but I don't care about 150 points, which is all I would get for it. Same goes for a 2014 Select Damien Williams auto /15.

Kobe autographs aren't going to lose value in a month or two, and then you can ask for a replacement. Just relax.

The problem for me is that Panini has Autograph redemptions of athletes ranging back 5+ years yet they have these athletes sign new cards in new releases and leave the autographs currently pending untouched.

If they prioritized getting old cards signed before new cards were signed then this wouldn't be a problem today.

How do you wait 4+ years for a redemption? Isn't that just false advertising at that point?

Part of the problem with this is the NBA Licensing deal and the hits they require and the NBA actually caring about less redemptions more than any other league. Will say of all the leagues the NBA Licensing is the most in your tent what are you doing.

2 months, cry me a river lol. have some respect for them and his family, call for a replacement because I can assure you, you're not getting a kobe auto redemption anymore

Can I ask what cards you guys sent in for redemption? I recently opened a box of 13-14 Innovation and I hit a KD redemption for a Digs and Sigs Prime patch auto #’d /10. It was a huge hit for me because KD is one of my PC guys and I never hit a patch auto of his before. Obviously the redemption was expired (which is one of the risks of opening such an old product), but at this point they either have the card or they don’t. If they don’t have it, I should at least be able to get a fairly high dollar replacement for the value of this one.
