Is it best to just stay away from these in raw copy form? Or were some graded ones also sheet cut too?

Were there fakes of these as well?

Little notch up top to tell from the sheet cut...

The sheet cut is probably a lot harder to find than the real copy...

I haven't seen fakes... I imagine it would be an EXTREMELY difficult set to fake.

Didn't someone put their kids through college on sheetcuts?

Like Marino said, a little notch is visible on the top of the real ones (they're not cut perfectly). If you see a perfectly oval one with no notch, avoid.

There are customs on eBay that are similar to the original but they are labeled “custom” and you can tell right away they aren’t real.
