Official 76ers thread
Not sure there's one yet?
Loved watching these guys last year. I don't think Brett Brown is the man that will get them over the line when/if they are ready. They will miss Belli and Ersan, can they replace those guys somehow. Lacking in veteran leaders, Redick is still Ridic though. The goal should be East Finals and having a better go vs Boston, although I don't think they have nearly enough to beat that squad. How is Redick still on the bench? Brown, sort it out. I would start TJ over Fultz, but I think they want to trade Fultz. |
So far they've looked good other than getting smothered by Boston opening night, which seems to be a trend.
I think they are a year away from being a serious contender. Remember, last year they overachieved; the goal at the start of the year was to make the playoffs. That being said, with a few trade chips in hand they have the possibility to get good quickly. The biggest deficiency they have at the moment is depth, so let's see how Muscala and Chandler look when they suit up. |
Fultz 4/5 tonight and 9 points so far #@♂️
Let’s go Sixers :)! |
If you ever wonder why Philly needs Simmons in the lineup, look no further than tonight.
Blake just went off for 50 on them. Say what you want about Ben's scoring, shot, etc, I don't think anyone denies that he makes a big impact on defense. Hope he gets back in the lineup soon (like tomorrow) |

Brown needs to pull his head in and play Redick every minute he can handle. Was Fultz good tonight? I didn't get to watch much? |
Fultz finished 6/9 with 13 points on the night
|
My goodness why was Amir in for final play.Embiid is getting slept on guy is a monster so far.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] The advanced analytics all said that last year: 2nd in the league in Defensive Win Shares 4th in Defensive Box Plus Minus 9th in Defensive Rating But he didn't make if because sports writers (who typically aren't your Ivy League grads) don't like voting for rookies |
Fultz looked surprisingly confident last night. I caught maybe 2/3rds of the game, and from what I saw he looks like he’s making progress on shaking out the jitters or yips or whatever. I may have judged him too soon.
Blake Griffin was also unstoppable. If he didn’t bomb from the free throw line early in the game he’d have had 55 points. Just an incredible game from him all around. |
Joel Embiid was triggered. Blake Griffin fathered your whole team, Sixer fans. Heck of a game tho :)!
|
Sixers win that game by 20 with Simmons in the lineup... Heck of a game by Blake though.
|
Did Embiid guard Griffin the majority of the night?
|

Blake gave the business to about 7 different sixers chumps all told. Ben Simmons would've done nothing but look for assists all game like he always does |

He was giving it to everyone... locked in from the first minute. He’s about as well rounded as it gets. It’s easy to play the “what if” game. The Pistons beat the team the 76ers put on the floor. |
Simmons expects to play tonight.
Should be s good show against a tough Milwaukee team. Hope the rest of he guys aren't too tired from yesterday's ot game |

Embiid already owns real estate in Giannis' head
|
