Figured he needed his own thread, I like betts, and I think he might really break out this year and maybe even make a run at mvp.

There’s an old mookie thread buried somewhere. Fell off after last years slow start.

Hopefully he can jump back in that top 3 AL MVP discussion.

He's having a hell of a start. Power, speed, great defense, hits for average and a good guy to have on your team.

Somehow underrated after being overrated when people thought his season was better than Trout's.

Well, he did regress last year which is something Trout has never done (outside of the injury).

I love the kid and think he’s something special!

3 home run game last night. It does seem like he goes under the radar. His first bowman chrome autos sell for less than some of the top prospects. I see him as a guy with a high ceiling because stats like WAR tend to love him. Even in what most considered a down year last year his WAR was over 6.

Its amazing how this hobby turns their heads so fast on guys. Hes 25!! Hes a career 26 Win player. Last year the Red Sox were in flux offensively and he still finished 6th in MVP Voting.
Mookie is an all world talent that gets overlooked. His bat speed is beyond amazing.
You could and probably still can buy his TH and BC rookies for 1/2 the price of One Acuna BC.

He will be in the MVP discussion this year and probably many more years in the future.

Unfortunately, there's a guy from NJ named Mike Trout that (if he stays healthy) is the front runner for the foreseeable future.

He's definitely one of my favorite visiting players to watch. He is one of a handful of players that I would watch if my team wasn't playing.

I’m a diehard lifelong Yankees fan and I love watching Mookie Betts play baseball. He is the man. That really says something imo.

I don't think I've seen a bat quicker than his. He's old school -- power without striking out. And an elite defender. I'm not crazy enough to say he's in the Trout conversation, but he's got the skills to put up Trout type seasons. Just overall fun to watch.

I like him.

He is the best personality on a team without personalities (other than Hanley) lol. That mic'd up interview with him in ST really reached a lot of people I think and turned them into fans of his.

I'm happy I was able to pick up some RC PSA10s before the mashing started! I'm very excited for this team. Our depth has a lot of talent and it's showing.

Mods: please delete this thread. I don't want people taking an interest in Mookie until I can acquire his target red update.:coffee:

I bought a few Heritage PSA 10s right after his grand slam. Also picked up a few Bogaerts at the same time. Those two healthy this year are going to be fun to watch.
