49ers_swag - Awaiting Your Response as Fantasy Football Commissioner
Houdini advised me to post up his info:
I see he is commissioner in 3 leagues on here. Two of them being bitcoin leagues where he didn't invest the league funds like he was supposed to. This raised a concern so he let the owners who still wanted to play for bitcoin, opt into the equivalent value upon seasons end if they placed in the top 3. Well I opted in and placed 2nd and 3rd respectively in both leagues. Another manager also opted in and placed 2nd, so he owes a decent chunk of money now. https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1143749 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1142810 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1142777 Did some digging and looks like he was recently given a negative feedback. He has not been online since 12/21 but was trying to sell itunes and target giftcards on here right up until his last login. He also had various random electronics he was trying to sell on the boards here. https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1175038 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1173841 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1167308 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1167237 https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1165017 I know he was asking managers to use paypal gift, I did use goods as I was leary, but its obviously past the statute of limitations for that as well. I've tried to PM him on here, ask for updates in the thread, sent group emails through the yahoo leagues contact manager service. Moderator Ifish has PM'ed him and is awaiting a response as well. Does anyone have his contact info? He is joseph m on yahoo as his profile and email listed is: u2slimshady@hotmail.com Ironically, I do recall he was the one who created the infamous "Haiku suspended, rumors of massive scam emerge" thread. I'm going to try and contact some members on here who have done deals with him in the past and post up his info as Houdini has suggested. |
Man......I hope everyone doesn't get screwed. That bitcoin payout is awesome.....if it is all legit.
|
Wow he owes quite a bit of money now. Not a smart gamble I suppose
|
He never sent the $100 visa giftcard I payed for. I was a dummy to send him F&F because of his 212 positive FB (at the time he had no negs). Hopefully he is just on vacation and will be back on soon

Let's see, Bitcoin is involved, which has almost quadrupled in price since the leagues began, he's already screwed you out of $100 that you didn't drop a neg for and paid F&F, and he suddenly can't be found when it's time for league payouts. He may very well be on vacation, but don't hold your breath on his return. |

I know, mike1498 was the one who bought the $100 gift card that he didn't get. My point on the leagues was just the overall situation, which doesn't look good right now. |
Another forum member PM’d me his address from a previous deal, but that was in July of 2016:
Sports Card Trader 401 villa ave apt 131 Clovis, CA 93612 |
It’s my understanding fantasy football money leagues are legal in California, I saw a reddit post regarding a non paying commissioner can be taken to small claims court if it is legal in the state he resides. Anyone know of this?

Damn good luck to all of you involved. Every league on here has basically a lot of the same members that are playing so sucks to see one of the league runners become unresponsive like this. Not in the league but I kept checking it with the bitcoin increase.
I remember Houdini posting in one of his leagues last year months after the league finished, guessing he came out good then so hoping same again for all of you: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1033363&page=2 |

We shall see - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now...

Going to wait a bit longer and see what plays out. Will be down to take appropriate action if this continues down this road.

Joe, you don't want me to post. Ok? You don't.
I know you think you have been anonymous and no one will post your picture or facebook your family, but I am telling you right now that if you ignore this, you will wish you had just paid these members what you owe them. Your name is unique enough that this will haunt you forever. To be honest, I am probably going to add one of your immediate family member's names to this too and I know that isn't fair to her but you are the one doing it to her. Please don't make me. |
I GOT A COUPLE PMs FROM MEMBERS ON HERE ASKING ME ABOUT WHY I LEFT A NEGATIVE AND WHAT HAPPENED IN MY SMALL CARD SITUATION. BELOW IS MY EXACT PMs AND INTERACTION. WITH HIM HOPE IT HELPS YOU GUYS OUT. I SENT ALL THE BELOW AS A RESPONSE TO THE MEMBERS WHO REACHED OUT TO ME AS WELL.
Had his address on a bubble mailer from his package but didn’t think to save it because once I got the cards I just trashed it. I get tons of mail so I didn’t think to save it just incase. Last time he messaged me was last Thursday I believe according to when I checked my PM. I sent screenshots of our one large PM and also one of the description Of why I left a negative so the moderator could see my reasoning. Feel free to use those and if you need any clarification let me know. I’m sure you can understand what’s going on from reading the PMs and Negative Feedback. - So he originally stated he would take the entry fees from the owners, buy bitcoin with it, and then make the payouts proportional to either the increase or decrease in the bitcoin final value. - But then he never actually bought the bitcoin. - So he instead gave the owners basically the option of still wagering their portion of the final payout dependent on bitcoin's value at the end of the season and a few owners opted in to this wager. - Bitcoin's value dramatically increased and a few of those owners who opted in ended up finishing in the top 3. - Now, the commissioner possesses no bitcoins and has disappeared with the league's entry money entirely. He is not returning messages and appears to not intend to payout to any of the owners, both those who opted in and those who did not. Is this correct? Or is this individual actually sitting on bitcoin purchased with the entry fees of Blowout fantasy owners and attempting to go incognito? |

Having seen Houdini’s handywork I wouldn’t test him on his promise above. |
I'm guessing that unique name is the reason he changed e-mail addresses during his PM thread with Miguels?

The other half would be invested into bitcoin and either make the prize pool increase or decrease depending on how bitcoin actually performed. Well, once the season started and we asked for proof of the money deposited into a bitcoin wallet, he said he got cold feet and changed his mind due to a dip in value. A few owners balked that the whole point of joining the league was to invest in the cryptocurrency and go for the ride, good or bad. So he gave a choice and said he didn’t think it would increase over the course of the season and he would honor the price for those who still wanted to invest. If the value decreased, those who opted in would get less than the traditional payout and he would get to keep the difference. That’s obviously what he was hoping, or he himself would win. There was also a third league he commissioned which was just standard payout structure, and he collected the league dues but has yet to pay out any of those members either. |

So we're looking at above-average scumbaggery (potentially, innocent until proven guilty...), but not "I'm out of the country on a $10,000 bitcoin vacation paid for by Blowout members." Well, here's to hoping the guy shows back up and the owners get paid. |
Doubt he's on vacation, he has a problem with his paypal, according to him it was hacked. This was our conversation when I bought the visa giftcard

I tried to tell everyone this guy was involved with Haiku a long time ago...

You must be new here or are pals. Scammers spouses Facebook links will be linked like other past scammers. Not the first time or last since the inception of blowout. So let's hope he isn't a scammer. I noticed they share a facebook page so there's that |
