Books I'm looking at for next week include the following, although the Variant for Pestilence is already sold out and [URL="http://www.midtowncomics.com/store/weeklyreleasebuy.asp?pl=534"]Midtown just went live for May 3rd[/URL] a few mins ago. Also, the JOCK variant for Stained #1, which didn't show up in my cart for some reason.

[B]Pestilence could be a real sleeper. [/B] The ages of Knights and Castles and the 1st outbreak of ZOMBIES.. Could prove to be very interesting. I'm getting the Bat Books because I'm a huge Bat Dork. Everybody loves a good Bane story right?

Thanks for the picks..grabbed quite a few of the ones you suggested. I'm already a sucker for Batman and those lenticular covers lol

I'm liking DC Bombshells #26 featuring Harley and Ivy on the cover. This series has been hovering at just over 12,000 copies distributed each month. While not super low, not a really easy find once a little time has passed.

I also love the Spider-Gwen #19 variant by Clayton Crain.

Stained #1 Jock variant might be a little something...or not but it looks good.

Lastly but not least, the Jessica Jones #8 Checchetto variant works nicely with the other recent Marvel variants he has done recently.

These are all picks for cover collectors only. No insight as to what is happening in each story.

That is a nice cover, I agree.

I didn't see anything I felt like buying. The Tekken video game comics are almost cool. The new Tekken 7 game is starting to get talked about in video game news, think it has a June release date.

I thought about grabbing some Campbell Jean Grey covers, but passed. He has become very proud of his exclusive covers.

I passed too. It's a nice cover, but the price point was a bit excessive I thought and he's been overloading us with exclusives recently. Plus a stand alone Jean Grey story doesn't appeal to me personally, so I doubt I would have even read it.

I also passed, for many reasons.
First exclusive I have passed on in awhile.

I think the TWD is a special double issue this week.

I agree with Indy, "Pestilence #1" could very well pass most people by. Even copies on eBay already are fetching $8+ each for the standard cover. My friend checked and as of yesterday it was showing copies as available for advance retailers to re-order, but unsure how long those will last. I went ahead and had her order me some.

FYI, Spider-Gwen #19 will introduce a new character.

All three covers of Stained #1 now sold out at Midtown.

I don't even like comics but Pestilence looks dank as hell. No way I'm shelling out $10 for it though.

Get to the shop early and you should be able to pick one up at cover price.

Pestilence is pretty easy to find in my area including the 1:10;variant. Local shop had a ton of these

There are still some deals to be found online as well. Check comic shops that sell via their stores, and don't rule out ebay. My shop had no copies on shelf 30 minutes after opening. I asked my dude at the counter if they even got it in - he said yes and and pulled their last copy off the rack behind him and took the card down. Dang that was close but got one!

Only Variants they had were all for Secret Empire and Black Bolt. Yeah nope.

You may want to pick some up, apparently its sold out already at the distributor level.

Is it worth rushing out to purchase?

I only pick up my books once a month now.
