The autos are gonna be sick, but it seems to be like they will be extremely hard to hit.

excel_b 02-20-2014 04:37 PM

I wonder how much it is a case? When's the release date?

Hoping it isn't in June / July...

Futbol_Cards 02-20-2014 04:53 PM

That's a hell of an auto checklist. Best ever for a soccer product without a doubt.

im scared to see how much that will fetch. Messi is in the checklist as well, we can all but guarantee a dual of Ronaldo and Messi has crossed panini's mind... this could be huge for the hobby. Like i said before, if Premier Gold Hit off, other companies will catch on :)

Late April.

My buddy who is distributor says SRP is $100 per box

Prospectorsadvantage 02-20-2014 08:28 PM

On card Ronaldo auto? AWESOME. Was hoping they would get Neymar Autos.

marlinsfan9108 02-20-2014 10:10 PM

Wow looks really good. Time to start saving

mfw13 02-20-2014 11:22 PM

Looks like the base card design is actually decent...

rambel 02-20-2014 11:23 PM

I wonder if they are going to be doing Jumbo boxes of these?!?!?!

Also, I think if the configuration is the same as other PRIZM releases, I bet you autos will be 2 per box and probably stickers but excited to see this!

alan1899 02-21-2014 03:54 AM

A bunch of illustrations and a list of over 50 autographs in this collection....

yes these look very sharp . so glad they didnt go with the design they been using for the other sports .

mfw13 02-21-2014 05:45 AM

The real question is whether the autos will be sticker or on-card, and how many will be redemptions.

Futbol_Cards 02-21-2014 11:19 AM

Just located a Japanese dealer's sales sheets. Looks like the auto checklist is even more impressive than initially thought. I just hope the autos are on-card. If they are, this would be the best product ever without a doubt.

so curious about the odds on the autos, but goodness that is quite a checklist. (could have lived without honoring "Fuleco" I suppose...)

hche 02-21-2014 12:53 PM

I bet the auto checklist is 200 - 300 cards long unless autos are hard to pull. There is no way they can do 1 or 2 autos per box with that list of players.

man I cant wait till this product comes out!

dashcounter 02-21-2014 01:39 PM

when's the presale?

Futbol_Cards 02-22-2014 02:58 PM

^ Already available from the other big card dealer for $108.95 - I noticed they also mention Javier Hernández will have an auto and a few Fans of Game Autos featuring Andrew Luck and Kobe Bryant.

Busstop 02-22-2014 07:34 PM

The auto checklist is huge. can't wait.... :)!

mfw13 02-22-2014 07:55 PM

I'll be curious to see how many of the players on the preliminary auto checklist actually end up in the set...if Panini is anything like Topps, many of the players in the preliminary checklist will not make it into the actual set.

bjtheman1 02-23-2014 04:13 PM

Very cool indeed but I would hope they'd at least put 1 auto per box.

diegorvca 02-23-2014 11:33 PM

I decided to quit the hobby and sell my entire collection but man products like this make it so hard lol

A guy on OCT mentioned that autos will not be guaranteed in every box. Rather an auto every other box, so 6 per 12 box case if this info is to be believed.

so maybe we should hold off on pre ordering . 100 bucks a box and no auto is pretty brutal .

Mrpokey 02-25-2014 03:13 AM

I wonder if this will have retail options too? I'd go nuts buying the retail version!

Tones 02-25-2014 04:49 PM

eek, no guaranteed auto? strong checklist but that does hut a bit. remember guys, this is prizm, so hope they continue with the rare inserts (golds /10) those will make up for the auto not being there :)
so maybe we should hold off on pre ordering . 100 bucks a box and no auto is pretty brutal .
Given that the checklists usually bear little resemblance to the actual product, and the extent to which redemptions have crept into the hobby, anybody who pre-orders a product is asking for disappointment.

This product looks great, but I wouldn't spend a penny on it until you see how many of the big-name autos actually make it into the released product.

mma138 02-26-2014 12:07 AM
I wonder if this will have retail options too? I'd go nuts buying the retail version!
im sure there will be retail . and the luck and kobe autos are completly unneccasary . if im buying a soccer product i dont want cards of football and basketball players.

Futbol_Cards 02-27-2014 12:13 AM

Yeah there definitely will be retail. Tracy Hackler mentioned it on the blog.

Chuppy 02-27-2014 12:15 AM

My first post.. This is awesome news, MESSI auto!

Durantula 02-27-2014 01:36 AM

Seriously, this will be the best Soccer product EVER so far. If you look at it from a global point of view, Soccer is the most favorite and watched sport on the planet.
There is always a huge Hype going during FIFA World Championships. So this product could creat a never seen buzz regarding Soccer Trading cards.
People here in Europe are super excited about this release!

mma138 02-27-2014 01:56 AM

im very excited too . im defenetly going to get some , just not sure how much . the price for a box and no guaranteed auto scares me . i realy dont understand why topps dont get in on the world cup product .

Futbol_Cards 02-27-2014 02:07 AM

Topps actually does do the World Cup.

This is their WC offering, lol.

I don't see them as real cards anyway.

Panini has the chance to create something really big with this product. Now it's a matter of promoting this, especially outside the US. Europe and South America are the biggest Soccer markets with crazy Fans.
This really could be the biggest sleeper product of the year.
Let's hope Panini does things right here.
Some of these cards like Messi/Maradonna or Pele/Christiano Ronaldo will fetch way more than a Jordan/Lebron AU.
Will be interesting to watch. I have the feeling that these will sell out quickly.

Bryanjs14 02-27-2014 09:14 AM

Prizm World Cup looks to be the best soccer set ever made for sure... But let's just think ahead...

Immaculate World Cup?
Flawless World Cup?
Global Treasures World Cup?

I cannot wait to see if Panini really takes off with the Soccer license.

Chuppy 02-28-2014 11:37 PM

yeah was getting tired of just doing the sticker books with my son..Now something for me. Although those of you who know about the panini sticker world cup books know they are as important as any cards .lol..

Futbol_Cards 03-03-2014 04:11 PM

The latest auto list still looks great but it looks like no more Maradona sigs.

can anyone confirm an auto in every other box? Want to pull the trigger but one auto in every other box is making me think twice, especially at $100+ per.

wow , thats great . im wondering how there getting all these autos ? cant be easy .

Futbol_Cards 03-08-2014 12:30 AM

Just noticed this tidbit.
Each Hobby Case contains a Dual Autograph or Autograph from the following players:

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pele, Luis Suarez, Robin van Persie, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Mesut Ozil, Franz Beckenbauer, Bobby Charlton and Jurgen Klinsmann.
Also both Blowout and DACW still mention to look out for Maradona's sig. Would be nice if Panini could provide some clarity on that.

mma138 03-08-2014 01:52 AM

sweet ....

KingTaco77 03-09-2014 12:57 PM

For anyone that has purchased Topps EPL or other similar sets, how do you expect parallels and inserts to sell? Debating whether/how much to buy, but the vague nature of the sell sheet and my lack of knowledge on ROI for this kind of product is making me think twice.

mma138 03-12-2014 12:28 AM

ok guys , autos are every 3rd box ? ouch ......

dashcounter 03-12-2014 12:58 AM
ok guys , autos are every 3rd box ? ouch ......
mma138 03-12-2014 01:52 AM
ok guys , autos are every 3rd box ? ouch ......
Have Panini made an announcement about this?

As far as I know it's still tentatively every other box.

dbrown 03-12-2014 02:10 PM

Wow can't wait for this stuff! Looks great! Was hoping a product like this was coming out for the World Cup!

Futbol_Cards 03-13-2014 04:05 AM

Thanks for the link mma, I'll just leave this here so everyone can see it.

Brobocop 03-13-2014 08:19 AM

Man, one auto in every three boxes makes this a bit tougher to break. Unless you get one to two numbered prizm cards in your box, you could be looking at a huge feast or famine product.

Love or hate Topps Premier Gold, I thought they did a good job getting some big names in there, delivering good hits, and at the end of the day you knew what to expect out of a box hit wise.

KsBillsFan 03-13-2014 08:40 AM

So every auto is on card right? For 1 auto in every 3 boxes, better not see a sticker auto.

I wonder if some boxes will have more than 1 auto? $240 ($80 x 3 boxes) for 1 auto is tough to swallow. Unless you get lucky every time.

akarlen 03-13-2014 11:20 AM

Hardly any of the prizm stuff is on card for other sports. Off the top of my head, the only one i can think of is the 12-13 kobe auto (not the 13-14 which is a sticker). Other "panini exclusive" signers like kyrie are also sticker, to the best of my knowledge.

i love this auto list, but the RoI is scary. Prizm parallels sell well in basketball, but not so much in football. I'll be a secondary market buyer :/

Bryanjs14 03-13-2014 12:27 PM

True, except the worldwide popularity of basketball and football combined isn't half that of futbol. I'm bummed it's 1:3 but I still believe this product will be a huge seller

KsBillsFan 03-13-2014 12:37 PM

Just looking at the sell sheet that was posted, those auto's look to be on-card. Guess we shall see.

Sushiyoshi 03-13-2014 05:16 PM

They always show on card autos with the mock ups.

Futbol_Cards 03-13-2014 05:41 PM

I would be very pleasantly surprised if these autos were on card. Soccer autos are almost always stickers and since most of the signers from this set are in Europe and Latin America I think it would be very difficult to have on card sigs.

Brobocop 03-13-2014 07:25 PM

Generally on sell sheets though you can tell it's a sticker autograph like the Kobe on the new Crusades sell sheet:

http://www.blowoutcards.net/images/ss/14pncrusadeBK.pdf

So who knows, with what they are probably paying these players, maybe they will be on-card autographs. While that is nice, I would also expect plenty of redemption cards in these given how soon to release we are and how hard to get some of these players may be.
