Thanks, I got these a few years ago.. They aren't worth a ton but I like the Joe Louis and Max Schmelling.

The graded one's sell for more then $200.


I have 8 PSA graded Panini rookies. 5 PSA 9's, 2 PSA 8's and one PSA 8 of the UK version. All are self submitted.

I picked up this Ali card from Mexico. Does anyone have any information on it? I believe it's from 1968 to promote the Olympics in Mexico City

It appears to be removed from a Spanish card album (Mexico?). It seems likely it was a food premium from Pancho Patera Choco-Milk. Many of the albums from that time period are quite rare. Text should say "[B]e[/B]stampa"

Thanks for the info. You are a heck of a resource. I'm trying to get the card catalogued by bgs. It seems the date is 1968 but I haven't been able to get a scan of the album to verify the year.

BTW, "Peguese Aqui" translates to "stick here", which indicates it is from an album.

No. This is the only card I've seen. The seller said it was from 64 to promote the Olympics and from Choco-milk. Someone on another board pointed out the fight the pic was from and that was from late 1965 so the earliest the card could from is 1966. Since the seller said it was to promote the Olympics it makes sense that it would be from 1968 since the card is of Mexican origin and the 68 Olympics were in Mexico City. Unfortunately that's all the info I've been able to get.

Post edited. Thought I had a lead on the album but looks like they didn't have any info on it.

I only have a small boxing collection. Add into the fact that photobucket really is a terrible site now and nothing is updated really!

Most of my collection is either MMA or baseball but I have been thinking of selling almost all my baseball cards and focusing mostly on boxing and the odd MMA!

i have some nice boxing on sale now on ebay if you chek in my pseudo

everybody stay away from Ringside Ray Mercer memorabilia cards with blue trunks, those are not authentic. Mercer has never worn blue trunks, he said so himself

But the back of the card says Sport Kings guarantees the authenticity?!? :confused:

They really should have specified which fights all the trunks were used in. Would have added SO MUCH more to the product. I sent them an email asking which fight all the Ray Mancini stuff was used from and they said they didn't know. Hopefully I can meet Ray some day and ask him myself.

I sent this to BGS and they were able to slab it. Ill post a scan when I get it back. The grade wasn't very good but I'm happy its slabbed

hi all. I just started actively collecting boxing cards, so I was glad to find this thread. You guys have some wonderful collections.

I have a question for those of you that talk about getting cards signed: what's the best avenue for getting a boxing card autographed? Through the mail seems hopeless in boxing. I go to fights, but I've seen few opportunities to get autographs from fighters, and it's hard to be sure who will be in attendance. Do you just arrive early or stay late to the fighter's fight? Is there a good place to track boxer signing events or something else I'm aware of?
