Interesting news, especially that it's limited to 500 cases.

Brobocop 10-09-2025 02:12 PM

$3k for a case, why does that not sound too bad? 40 autos, 40 relics, and one of those bigger cards?

Shinypsptitans 10-09-2025 03:11 PM

Where can you purchase a case?

Because we've all been manipulated by Fanatics into thinking $3k for a case of cards "seems cheap" :coffee:

It looks like a fun set...maybe there will be some group breaks on here :D

Say less Thanks! Pedro "RC" on card auto looks amazing. First ever GOT auto and that got his career cooking so that's an awesome card.

2 autos and 2 relics per box is also very refreshing to see these days.

EDIT: And Sketch cards randomly inserted to boot!

FatButcher 10-09-2025 03:57 PM

I think the price on this is pretty fair if the signer list is as limited as it looks now.

Value may be down to getting a Pascal case, his Star Wars auto stuff would cover 1/2 to 2/3 of the case cost.

Bob Ross 10-09-2025 04:33 PM

https://www.scifihobby.com/products/gameofthrones/greathouses/

So lets break this down a bit more. 500 cases, 20 boxes per case = 10000 total boxes. 2 autos per box = 20k total autos. Each case guarantees only 1 of the big 4 autos (either Pedro, Kit, Emilia or Martin). Lets say those 4 are split dead evenly, that's 125 each.

My fro and gut are telling me there will be a ton of filler autos in this and perhaps an auto shortprint of the big names.

I need to see a checklist. But at first glance I think it's just fair, pricewise. However, they look great and all being on card is awesome.

PS: how does one even get the "12-Case Incentive Box" when they don't even release these themselves let alone in that quantity?

nabzy28 10-10-2025 03:37 PM

This seems quite good from just looking through the information available. Auto list has some depth to it, and you've got to hit a decent amount of desirable ones in a 20 box case, I would think (hope).

Jaysmark 10-11-2025 03:14 AM

750 cases for that one, but at 12 boxes per case it was 9,000 boxes vs. 10,000 for this one. Biggest difference is the number of signed cards...45,000 for legends of the realm and 20,000 for this new one. I would hope there are fewer single scene filler signers but we'll see.

Welcome to many a non-sports release -- it's common for bigs to be rare and a lot of lesser names. That's just the economics of putting out a product that's not a $1,000 box.

cypher 10-18-2025 06:45 AM

Wow sought after names have to be rare that’s a bold statement. So that’s why all boxes are closer to $1k then the decade prior where card companies could survive around $100 a box. Nothing to do with Fanatics pending total monopoly over the cards, limiting distribution outside the big 3 money tree members, and focusing on breakers with higher margins,

This. I was getting all kinds of autos from shows like Stranger Things for under $100 a few years ago. Now, it seems like $200 is the minimum, which means I'm out of that game too. I thought I made a decent living, but with how much people are willing to pay for some of these things, maybe I'm not as well off as I thought or I have more value for money than others do.

I think some of the biggest $ growth in collectibles in recent years HAS to be in the pop culture show realm for signers.

Used to be able to get good names for $25-40 for a signed photo at a show. Back when I did them for a few years (ages ago at this point) the $100 auto was for the legend-tier names at show (like a Shatner).

100% The standard Trek actor was a $40 auto, the Shatner level was $80. Now the standard is $80 and I think Shatner was $120 last time around. I used to get 4-5 autos at the comic con. Now just 3 or so. Just too expensive.

I'm grateful that I ONLY had to spend about $2k to get Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Jeremy Renner to sign my Avengers poster through various signings with SWAU. I shudder to think what that would cost now, probably $2k alone for Downey.

Coventry6546 10-25-2025 03:49 PM

Maisie has an upcoming private signing, think it's $150 to start. What concerns me is if we only get one of the case guarantees, at $3k a case on here, the rest of the guaranteed signers likely won't cover half the cost of a case unless it's a rare auto like a dragonglass, so what's the incentive anymore outside of group breaks. Pretty sad when we are hoping to only break even, even with case guarantees when buying wax. Just not worth it considering the potential high and fact that most, will be low

Of course we all want the number one spot after a random but many are satisfied to get what they really want. I used to be surprised when someone would pick an insert spot before an auto I liked or an ugly sketch would go sooner than I thought (sorry :D). Some participants want parts of a master set, some want the resale value, some certain autos. That's part of the fun. Also, some can afford the gamble on a spot or more but not a case.

AngusMacGyver 10-25-2025 09:32 PM

I'm hoping the relic cards are as nice as they were in the House of the Dragon season 1 set, which I thought were great. It would be odd that relic cards were relatively rare in GoT sets until now and all of a sudden they have a new unique looking bunch of wardrobe material, but I am hopeful. If there's a sketch in every case this could be a good value honestly, 500 sketches doesn't seem like much of an ask.

andyg 10-26-2025 06:19 AM

Saw the relic cards at the Philly show, they're comparable to House of the Dragon. Lots of texture to the Jon relics.

Boring to Open

Through about half a case now. Pulled a full bleed Pedro, which is wonderful! Otherwise, it's a pretty boring ripping experience. Each box has a complete base set and the four minor insert sets. So after the first box, I'm essentially opening 24 packs hunting for five cards: 2 autos, 2 relics, and a random rare card from one of the other chase sets.
Now that I've found my case hit, the rest feels like a chore. Each box is now 23 packs of dupes and one pack worth of hits, leaving me with 115 cards of bulk and 5 hits.
Legends of the Realm was much more fun to open and had six big hits per case vs one.
Additionally, the quality control has not been great. Lots of miscuts, color variation, flecking, and even one card with part of a production stamp on it.
I wish I'd just bought singles rather than boxes.

Sad it's so big. It's a box topper, not loose in a case.

VinnyH 12-11-2025 09:42 AM

Supposedly there are 50 of these randomly as box toppers so 1 in 10 cases.
Vinny :)!

AngusMacGyver 12-11-2025 10:18 AM

It's 5x7 inches, barely thicker than a normal card and sitting below the packs inside a box. I believe the /50 number but this one isn't numbered, and the one I see on ebay is the same.

Coventry6546 12-11-2025 10:54 AM

I had mentioned on Ian's break last night that I had heard the Quad was #/50, however I think that's misinformation as I'm pretty sure the card I was offered was listed on eBay this morning and it's also not numbered. I hadn't gotten to the point of asking for a scan of the back. One in ten cases did initially sound too good to be true

VinnyH 12-11-2025 11:21 AM

I just posted a question on the quad and the relics on the RH forum. I'll let you know if I see a reply.
Pretty sure Rittenhouse only does on card
Yeah Rittenhouse never uses stickers, the only question is if these are cut signatures. Rittenhouse has been pretty explicit when they cut up signatures in the past though (with Diana Rigg, Emilia Clarke, Jason Mamoa and some others they advertised them as cut archive signatures or something like that). Also, all 4 actors signed other cards for this set.

TKCards 12-12-2025 12:29 AM
