Best WWE release last year imo, potentially one of the best ever. Looking forward to this year

Hard to get too excited as I'm expecting both the same drop in quality and egregious raise in price that characterized Impeccable this year. And I doubt they'll be able to create a chase as alluring as the Bloodline booklet from the last set; but maybe we'll be surprised.

I for one am super excited to get some sick redemptions that will never be fulfilled!

I called panini the other day about my Orton redemptions and the dude sighed heavily and told me Randy isn't a good signer for them so now I know I ain't seeing those

Suggested retail for Impeccable was $500 so barring similar price drop this will prob open $800-up.

Immaculate was my favourite set last year, but I'll have to see if pricing doesn't drop, the preview images are already making me a fan though. The booklets are cool and the Austin and Undertaker I'd love to have and I have an Austin from last year. I agree it's unlikely they'll have something like the Bloodline booklet though, but some duals like Cody/Roman etc will be pretty big.

This is scheduled for next Friday which is very doubtful unless they eliminated FOTL this year, but I wonder if any FOTL info will come next week.

My gut is they are saving autographs for any new wrestlers (Punk and Jade in particular) for the new 2024 season, which could make Prizm really hyped. Feel like they'd be advertising it pretty strong if they had autographs in it.

Still looking forward to reg. hobby and some rips but not interested in FOTL when 1. No Checklist 2. I remember a majority of FOTL autos being bunk last year 3. FOTL was pretty brutal for this product last year. Godspeed to anyone going in for a rip, particularly with no checklist (!)

Looks like it sold out at $675.

Not sure how $699.95 pre-orders hold up if people let it get lower than that for a version with an extra auto, there's also not any rookies to keep prices propped up like in NBA/NFL releases unless Jade makes it somehow.

-The jumbo shirt relics are all current/no legends again, kind of sucks as there aren't a ton of big names and a lot of watered down ones that will be $5-10 if lucky like Brooks Jensen, Valentina Feroz (who left WWE), Edris Enofe, Sanga
-The multi-signed content is what really stands out as usual, some highlights to me: Hollywood Hogan/Bischoff dual, Judgement Day Quad-Priest, Finn, Rhea, Dom, Steiner Triple- Bron, Scott, Rick, all the championship lineage triples one ex. Kane/Taker/Austin, could be wrong but I think there is a Bloodline-style booklet called "The Attitude Era" with Austin/Kane/Taker/Angle/HBK/Bret/Trish/Mankind
-The jumbo specialty memorabilia checklist is pretty weak, there's probably 4/11 that will be in real demand
-It looks like the FOTL-Exclusive auto was Premium Memorabilia Autographs, it's cool but no vets and no rookies, it's prob about a 50/50 chance based on the checklist you come close to hitting the difference in price between hobby and FOTL

Personally I think I may wait until Prizm, I did good last year and hit an Austin auto so I'm getting scared about testing my luck seeing Veer/Sanga duals lol may try the tried and true method of "buy singles" depending how these are priced and if half the multi-signed cards are live

"Footwear Spotlight Signatures" : I imagine these are the equivalent of the Sneaker Spotlights out of Noir Basketball. Those are hugely popular, big $ cards in that set, so it will be interesting to see if they take off with wrestling collectors. Looks like they're ssp at only /25, /10 and /1.

Having Bret in the "Attitude Era" booklet or whatever it is is pretty awkward...

Feels like Eric Bischoff is taking the "authority figure" auto spot with Vince no longer being in products ever again and no Steph or even HHH signing. Not complaining I wasn't a Eazy-E hater and it makes for some cool duals like the Hollywood Hogan.

I've hit a Bret auto in my life and my goal is to hit a SCSA at some point. Congrats on that, I may just break down and buy one.

I've seen some people in FB groups post their hits on the FOTL, some have been good, some just ok. I haven't seen one really skunk for that price, but hoping some hit YouTube soon and a big hope the normal boxes go sub $500. I bet we're looking at $599, aren't we.

Way too many big name redemptions especially after they had so many mat relics last year would be skeptical to buy any patch redemptions

I'm not sure how much of a price drop we copld expect, i.e. $500 seems far fetched. Maybe $550, but they may sell out before that ever happens for $50 extra.

I admit to having mixed feeling towards something like the Kofi 1/1. It's undeniably unique, but as a collector just give me a clean auto and maybe a cool inscription. Will be interesting to see if anything else that over-the-top is out there.

The only real new news there is the inscriptions, but I agree it may be beyond, but at the same time a 1/1 should be unique, the only thing I may have decided against was signing the side

I thought they announced the booklets, maybe it was just singular booklets though. I don't like booklets just as they are hard to display/store, and look ridiculous slabbed most of the time if you go that route, but stickers it is what it is. HHH/Orton are already gone, if you remove stickers Batista etc are gone, then you have people complaining checklists are weak it's a lose-lose. I'm probably in the minority but I'd rather have the sticker booklet in-hand than wait two years, posting on BO wondering if my redemption will ever arrive for a single on-card lol and since almost every discussion leads back to value I'd rather the option to sell a card in-hand than 1. take the redemption sale tax 2. wait it out while multiple products release in the meantime potentially water down autos/value as happened with Cody. Obviously personally I'd prefer on-card, but did stickers make me think the Bloodline booklet was any less a cool concept? not really.

I know some of you guys care if the autos are on card or sticker, and I fully admit the on-cards look better (and Kofi's freehanding would not be possible with stickers :) ) when I look for my PC I know I can sometimes save money doing stickers. That kind of thing doesn't make or break my decision to purchase, as I continue to search for my SCSA auto for instance. If I could save $100 on a card because it was stickered, so be it. I'm never selling it and will love it all the same.

That Kofi 1/1 auto relic is great but is a little busy.

I do really like inscriptions so still he is awesome for going above and beyond.

I wish more would. Even for some lesser rarities like /10, /25, /99.

I know if I had to sign 1,000 cards on card they all would not look the same. Of course the majority would but I'd spice it up. Especially since I would know oh this is the 1/10 one so let's make it look really good and throw in an inscription.

I also love that Panini does a good job of using great patches for rare cards. At the same time though you rarely, if ever, see a multi-colored patch used for the base version of the card. It shouldn't always be like that. Like for Topps I have a lot of really nice patches that are in the lowest rarity cards. And some boring one colored ones in high rarities (that really should never happen)...

That's two FOTL exclusives that are redemptions now (Jimmy Uso and AJ Styles). When neither are hobby "needle movers" that's super rough to not even get the jump on normal hobby if intending to move. Yeah it's FOTL but you either take the hit on selling the redemption and take the redemption tax or wait when everyone will get FOTL/normal redemptions at the same time, or possibly more as sometimes you'll see one wrestler and there redemptions are going out for like four sets lol

I don't care especially as I don't PC him but I do wonder why Rey is sticker when he's been with the company/travelling pretty consistently. I get the booklets as having Rey on-card then two stickers would look unorganized and bad but I'm surprised his single autos are also sticker.

I'd be....just ok with that box but move the Melo immediately. Actually I don't know what I could keep and not sell.

One time being wrong is a good thing, nice to see it lower even if I'm not buying, plus it bodes well the lower these higher end sets are the lower 24 Prizm will be.

Kind of nuts they were trying to sell them for $115 more on this site though until Panini drop forced their hand lol shows the gap between what we consumers pay and what they pay

I'm resisting the temptation and buying singles when they hit FB and ebay. I agree about Prizm, hopefully it goes down a little lower than we expect.

Absolutely. I opened 5 cases last year. It was a blast, but the redemptions killed it for me. I can grab those two cards for the price of a case.

Can't stand RGL but two FOTL rips that aren't LCS so you can judge the product.

Each FOTL box I've seen (4) have had a redemption now.

Cody and/or Seth didn't sign at least duals as a dual of them was a redemption

Cause I have a ton of new stuff to get now. I was lucky to see the 1/99 Wade Barrett auto (looked at the checklist and didn't even notice he was on it) so snagged that but that was the only thing so far I got. I'll be busy getting stuff though so if anyone wants the best chance of making a deal with me then the earlier the better.

I don't watch breaks but someone was posting some pics on Twitter and there are so many redemptions. Roman, Trish, and Hogan are all redemptions for some (or all?) of their signed cards. Plus the bulk of the cards signed by 3+ wrestlers. I'm sure a good percentage will be redeemed successfully but it still would scare me.

Yeah, I was thinking about jumping in to rip some of this once the price settled a bit post-release, but the number of redemptions just makes it such an unappealing proposition.

In my opinion, the redemptions are a bit more palatable in the lower-end boxes like Chronicles since you can still make up good value outside of a single auto, but so much of the value in these higher-end boxes is funneled up into the Big Hit of the box, and if that winds up being a white piece of cardboard with a redemption code, it's such a feel bad.

The amount of redemptions are terrifying. I'd like a couple of the duals. (Steiners and Keibler/Wilson in particular), but I guess I'll wait to see if they go live.

This is a reasonable position to have, and I know that wishing for a release with a strong auto checklist and no redemptions is probably a bit impractical and idealistic. Topps was able to consistently produce sets with live on-card autos and no redemptions for years, but the trade-off there was weaker checklists and frequent delays.

So, there is probably not a perfect system to be found. However, I do think there is a threshold of acceptability, with something like 2022 Impeccable (small handful of redemptions) being fine and understandable, and something like 2023 Immaculate (redemptions every other box, many of the big names) being simply unacceptable.

It's hard to feel like the train hasn't gone off the rails when the core of your high-end product is basically a giant stack of IOUs and it feels like everyone is just kind of crossing their fingers and hoping for the best.

I swear I've seen Roman's name on a bunch of redemption reports in the past. Unless you mean specifically Immaculate last year which I'm not sure of.

Roman hasn’t had live on card autos in quite a while. But all of my Immaculate redemptions were filled fairly quick. I wouldn’t be too worried if I pulled a redemption of his.

I collect Tony D'Angelo mostly, and HE'S even a redemption in Immaculate...

Do the spotlight logo auto cards from this set bug anyone else? They seem unusually poorly designed from a graphic standpoint, with all this dead/negative space taking up the center of the card and a tiny little logo placed in the middle.

I mean, it's a cool concept with a strong checklist, I'm sure they'll sell very well, but I can't get over how clunky they look in the context of what is an otherwise typically well produced set visually.

The first time I saw one, I thought it was like a 1/1 logo shirt or something, but after I found out it was just a logo on the card, I thought it was dumb. A lot of wasted space. I feel like if they put the logo at the bottom centered it would look better, and just leave all the above space open for the signature. Or even like a water mark behind the signing area.

Either of those options would have been better, and actually Immaculate in other sports utilizes the "Shadowbox" design/insert for this exact kind of thing. So yeah, it just does not make any sense the way they did it here; the laziest/least appealing way they could have possible designed the card. :confused:
