The link is not working for me...
Is the checklist finally out? |
No, and it's not listed to come out until May24 so don't expect one for a few weeks likely. Retail releasing early won't force their hand, if there is one it'll likely come out around the time FOTL releases
|
Been watching a guy on Loupe breaking a ton of cases of blasters of this. So far nothing has really stood out to me. A couple of nice autos here and there. Cracks me up though that they are doing breaks for this and they don't know what the check list is. So some of the buyers are just hoping and praying that the person they bought is in the product.

Gambling at its finest lmao |
Yeah I watched a 20 blaster box break and they only hit two autos: a red Kiana James Optic iirc and a red Ricochet Chronicles auto.
I want to say they hit like 7 /75 green parallels and a lot more of the /199 and /349 pink ones. Sadly since a lot of the parallels are the first cards in the pack they were ruined with bent corners.. That is unacceptable! |
I'm not actually complaining but it would be nice if this showed up in my area while people are still paying top dollar for base/high-numbers. By the time I get it the /349 will prob be $2 and i'll end up losing $25 on a blaster lol
If they replaced the yearly tributes no one cares about (HHH and now Rey) with something like Downtowns since Optic is included already it would push the set over the edge (No PPV) similar to Kabooms for Revolution and lesser extent Color Blasts in Select. I mean there are a low enough amount of releases that between high-end and case-hits in other things you could make almost every set desirable, it's less inflated value than Topps doing "buybacks" for top stars or winners of UFC events. WWE is made for Downtowns |
I succumbed to two blasters of this. Wild how different they can be
Blaster 1: Tiffany Stratton Spectra Pink /199 Kane Certified Pink /199 (really damaged out of the pack) Roman Reigns Origins Green /75 Blaster 2: Bianca Belair Action Packed John Cena Optic Wave eagerly awaiting Hobby now though |
Blasters seem to drastically differ on hits, still don't seem bad though I'll rip a couple
|
You know, the more I see blasters in the wild and singles on ebay, and the less I see anything of a checklist, I do believe someone jumped the gun on these. For instance I'd love to know which origins cards are going to be in this set but nope.
|
Ripped three blasters from Target, good stuff!
Highlights: Dar auto AJ base /75 Gold Roman Origins Rey Origins /375 Torrie Spectra /199 Jayne base /349 Hogan, LA Knight Silver Spectras Couple Razor, Chyna cards Tiffany Pink Luminance Great mix of young and old. Hoping to get all tbe Origins late summer or so. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk |

I really like this set so far. Hilarious we still don't have a checklist so we barely know what we're chasing but some blasters seem loaded and I'll never complain about getting multiple hits as opposed to feeling empty ripping a prizm blaster with just a green Quincy Elliott in it

Agreed. I think I'm going to grab three more. I also wish it was more evident that the 24kt gold cards were labeled as such, but that's just a little nitpick. The Origins and photo cards look awesome. |
"Classics" being a set in this makes me happy, like the look and fits perfect with older wrestlers for example that Razor looks really cool.
Is The Rock or Punk even in this like Impeccable though? Haven't seen any from break pictures posted so far. They are the only ones who will hold value for these high numbered cards (/199, /299, etc) outside of the initial rush. If they aren't I'll def pass on hobby and just buy some blasters and wait for Immaculate. |

Well that's a good sign. I'd like to see them in more hopefully but it's nice to have a chance at low numbered in multiple sets for Rock atleast, anything /10 less and obv 1/1 will be pretty big even for Chronicles. It's less popular but it feels hobby numbering is usually lower than hobby numbering for Select too so better chance at a low numbered card. I wish they didn't dedicate whole tribute sets to HHH and Rey Mysterio though, no one really cared about HHH so doubt they will Rey but if they made it Taker, Austin, Rock it likely would be a popular set. |
I've only got three cards from this set so far. Well 4 but Mercari screwed me over and for that they are pretty much dead to me.....
Only one of the cards has actually got delivered into my mail slot like they said they did, but I expect the other two to come in the next couple of days. I suppose I shouldn't count my chickens before they hatch because my poor red Wade Barrett Voices of the Ring auto is nowhere to be found. So after all of Mercari's shady fees it ended up being $17 spend down the drain with nothing to show for it... The ones that did/hopefully will show up include a pink Theory XR (/199) parallel, the second is a green Theory Chronicles (1/75) parallel, and the last is a green Cameron Grimes Chronicles (/75) parallel. It's still crazy how little autos from this set have hit eBay. Like if I saw any for my people I'd be quick to snag them if they were reasonably priced. As it is I only know that Wade Barrett, Molly Holly, and Alundra Blayze have an auto but I collect a lot more people so I hope people like Pretty Deadly, Theory, McIntyre, signed. And it would be nice if Cameron Grimes got a likely final auto in this set. Otherwise his final auto will have been most likely from Impeccable 2023. |
How is it crazy how little autos have hit when hobby isn't even out and it's still pretty rare to hit autos from retail even if it's more common than two years ago.

Undertaker autographs are in the set, and I've seen boxes as low as $175 from reputable vendors. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting after the price of Impeccable. Chronicles was stealthy-good last year, hoping for the same this year.

I took the big plunge and purchased a case. I haven't gotten a case of WWE in a long time but getting 12 boxes of Chronicles for hundreds less than what four boxes of Impeccable costs just feels like as good a "deal" as we will get these days. Not because of the autograph number difference (which isn't huge) but Chronicles has a lot of non-auto sub sets that sell pretty well.
Maybe they jacked up the price of Impeccable just to make everything else they release this year look like a good deal. |
Panini posted the checklist on the product page!
Edit: lol just the action packed and certified inserts. Not the complete one, I jumped the gun I guess so I apologize but why even release a partial checklist |

I did the very same thing last night. I assume we are on the same membership tier at a certain Big 3 site that allows access to that pricing. Seemed too good to pass up, although it does have me paranoid a bit that they know something about the set we don't which could cause a decrease in interest after release (overabundance of redemptions, etc.) since this @ $175/hobby versus Elite @ $225/hobby makes no sense at all if this is the same Chronicles we got last year, generally speaking. I'm hoping it's just compensation for retail releasing earlier and the perceived impact that could have on the aftermarket. I'm kind of viewing this as my last hurrah w/ ripping Panini WWE, since I figure Immaculate will follow suit with Impeccable and be obscenely overpriced with a probable decrease in overall quality. I think Chronicles is the most fun of all the Panini sets to rip b/c of the variety, and as Joshi indicated above it's one of the rare sets where you can strike out on the autos but still do okay. Having your ceiling be the very high-end of so many desirable sets (Optic, National Treasures, Noir, etc.) is pretty darn sweet. And the average case break seemed pretty strong to me last year, at least based on my memory of those who shared results in the case break threads. |
Panini posted the checklist on the product page!
Edit: lol just the action packed and certified inserts. Not the complete one, I jumped the gun I guess so I apologize but why even release a partial checklist
I would assume the missing cards on this checklist were Brock. Been trying to piece together a checklist for the cards that have surfaced and am missing a handful - two of which were 203-Certified and AP-20. |
Elite was $225 because the autos were on-card, Panini overvalued that the same way I feel people here overvalue Chronicles. It's fun for sure and on a case basis it's likely to do well but I don't really rate products on if I have to buy a case to feel I did ok. I just haven't seen the desire for the high-end sets because they are in Chronicles (NT, One last year, Spectra, Noir isn't even popular in other sports) compared to the actual stand-alone high end releases, or even comparable low-numbered Prizm, and you have sticker autos. Most HOF Autographs and especially Voices Of The Ring will be useless, I hated they added that to UFC Donruss now it's in WWE, cause we all clamored for Kayla Braxton and Corey Graves autos.
I really feel like it's likeminded people propping this up and not necessarily this diamond in the rough to the average collector. It hasn't dropped like other products but it also hasn't sold out either at current prices as it would if people saw it as a bargain still there. I'm glad we have hopefully two cases posted here to gauge the product as Chronicles does seem like a set where one case can kill and one can kill you lol so it's good especially as it isn't a "case-hit" product so we aren't just judging on what Kaboom/Color Blast/Galactic you got. EDIT: One thing I did notice is how closely the Panini "Golden Age" cards resemble 2021 Topps Allen and Ginter from Heritage. I actually like the look of the cards and the fact they really did choose older superstars not 1-2-3 Kid and I guess designs across companies are similar but still abit surprising. It wouldn't make sense financially and would require a ton of cuts but I wish there was a standalone set similar to SP Hockey Legends set |
Elite was $225 because the autos were on-card, Panini overvalued that the same way I feel people here overvalue Chronicles.
Are people here overvaluing Chronicles? I'm pretty sure Joshi and I both stated that we pulled the trigger on a case only b/c the price was (relatively speaking) cheap. Not sure that's the definition of overvaluing. Even at that, I have no pretense that I'll make my money back. I don't think anyone is claiming this to be a Bargain of the Century. My experience, though, is that the variety of Chronicles gives it a liquidity that you don't find with something like Elite or Prizm which just saturate the market very quickly with bland parallels of the same base card. The higher end of this set is very easy to move; I got really nice prices for some of my bigger pulls last year. (And also added a lot of nice PC cards besides.) I *am* expecting a weaker auto checklist, but if that is the tradeoff in order to receive no redemptions, I will take it. And maybe we'll get a nice surprise. There was also a rumour that Downtowns would be included possibly in this set, although I haven't heard anything more and am going to assume that was wishful thinking. This is just a fun product to rip, and that is the spirit I'm approaching it in. |
My main thing when buying any boxes is I have my own standards and of course financial situation. I enjoy talking about wrestling cards on here but my decision making on what I buy has nothing to do with anyone else. I had a lot of luck with Chronicles last year as even though the autos I grabbed weren't great, I was selling the special inserts/base cards for $20 to $40 a pop if they were rookies, superstars, etc. So to me there is less of a chance of getting "skunked" if the set has value beyond the autographs, which I think Chronicles does.
Immaculate does too but then the price point comes into play. $175 a box fits in my personal budget and variety makes the rips fun. Chronicles was my favorite 2022 set so I'm diving back in for another go :) I'll definitely post my results, good or bad, if it helps others see a sample of a sealed case. |

Either this is going to be one of those stealth great drops that no one saw coming due to the poor build-up, or its going to be a shady sticker dump that tanks in value due to releasing between Impeccable and Immaculate.
I'm assuming the 24K Action Packed will be in hobby too?
I'm in the "assume nothing" phase of this release but if I was a betting man I'd think it would be as the retail boxes didn't mention an exclusive. |
I think the 24K will be in hobby. I don't think what people are paying big for out of blasters are the 24K cards, just a gold parallel. (Gold parallels are all over blasters in a few sets.)
My logic? They don't specifically note the 24K on the card. I think it would be. Checklist still has more to come ... updated the notation after I dropped it here. |
It looks like the checklist hosted on Panini's website has been extensively updated and very well may be complete at this point.
Auto checklists seem pretty par for the course as far as 2023 WWE Panini goes, if maybe a bit on the weaker side name-wise. Notably, there is no Roman Reigns auto present (a first in the Panini era?) indicating to me that there are probably few redemptions present, or that it has at least been considered to the point where only active signers are included as redemptions; obviously a step in the right direction, if too little too late. The Contenders Optic Signatures should be very nice, probably the newest inclusion I am most excited for. I also completely forgot about the Gala's. Those are fun chases. There are so few of them and they dried up almost instantly after the 2022 product was released as I recall. |

So it looks like the upper tier of signers are only on a couple of the smaller (and no doubt more rare) autograph sets, including Roman Reigns, Undertaker, Austin, etc. They left Orton and HHH out of the autographs, no doubt to them being slow signers but Charlotte does have autographs (still redemptions I am sure). Raquel Rodriguez is likely a redemption too, curious to see who else is once it releases.

The action packed parallel has me a little confused. There's only base & 24kt on the checklist, wouldn't it say there's a gold parallel if there's a third variation? (Like for base chronicles, everyone is listed multiple times to account for those parallels)
|
Yeah I'm pretty sure the gold we're seeing listed now are the 24K

Unless someone has better intel than I do, I assume that 24KT is the Gold parallel and there is only one additional variation total. The common phase is "24KT Gold" so it may just be people abbreviating it one way or the other way but it being the same variant. |
It sucks Punk is only in base Chronicles design, that's the worst design in the product to me next to Contender's, not just because it's the "base version" of the set. If base Chronicles looked like Spectra I'd love it lol
I'll give kudos to the *seemingly* specific sets they threw in here for WWE, already mentioned Panini Golden Age and it's probably polarizing but I like the Ring Royalty, it's grown on me reminds me of what could of been a late 90's/early 2000's design. I don't know if Action Packed is WWE specific although I haven't seen it in other Chronicles but that's also a great looking set. |

They definitely had these in the 2022 set, but you'd be excused for not knowing unless you referenced the checklist as there are so very few out there, they rarely see the light of day. (And more than likely, many have still not been pulled.) I definitely remember the Billy Gunn hitting eBay shortly after release, but that might be the only one I've ever seen. Being able to hit Nebula 1/1s, Optic gold vinyls, National Treasure plats, etc. all from one product is definitely very cool, this along with Select is the definition of a "collector's product" imo. |

Had been seeing some blaster breaks on YouTube and it looked like Panini really went hard on the numbered stuff in this. Just bought a blaster for myself that had:
Classics Diesel purple /349 Bret Hart Spectra pink /199 (real nice card) Grayson Waller Limited green /75 JD McDonagh Prizm red auto Which is like...a hobby box worth of hits in any other product. Lots of fun for not much $$$ |

I'm sad that they entirely snubbed Pretty Deadly and Charlie Dempsey from the checklist..
I figured Ziggler would be gone since he was released and that Naomi wouldn't have returned in time but that is still sad. Cameron Grimes' likely final stuff this set is more than I expected though. Two more autos and 1 base card is more than a lot of people I collect for. Drew McIntyre has a lot of stuff like I expected. Same for Austin Theory so I'll focus on them for the most part. |
My LCS sent out their Monday email with the week's upcoming releases and prices
This comes out on Friday. They are charging $175/box Sent from my Pixel 8 Pro using Tapatalk |
I am wondering what Panini is going to list them for in their shop, most online retailers are hovering between $185 and $200 so I figured in that range so they didn't undercut their online distributors. Will be interesting if they list for $175 too.

My thoughts exactly. I have the opportunity to snag them at around $185, but I might wait to see what Panini offers. Hopefully they put a price up before, I don't know, they just go on sale. |
This is the first product I've seen in forever that is barely selling for over MSRP out the gate lol not sure that's a great sign

I will gladly take a hobby for well under $200 lol so that'd be neat if Panini lists it for around $170-$180
Cody is a redemption again. 🤦#@♂️
That sucks, coming off his WM win he would have been one of the hottest autographs in the set. |
He'll probably be live in Prizm, but hobby won't be "under $200" then everyone will complain he's live in Prizm and not Chronicles even though the same thing happened last year and people still chose to spend their money on it lol if you're fooled once....
|
Every WWE set will have redemptions, if my options are never buying another WWE set ever or risk pulling a redemption, I'll risk pulling the redemption. I enjoy busting boxes of wrestling cards too much to stop doing it just in case of a .5% chance of pulling a redemption that won't be fulfilled.
The only thing I rage about in boxes is getting panini points instead of a hit but I haven't had that happen in awhile thank goodness. My case of this is supposed to arrive tomorrow so we'll find out shortly how that went haha |
Yep, people who opted for Prizm last year are instead complaining about their Triple H outstanding redemptions that are *never* going to be filled. At least Cody is signing...
|
I mean redemptions are a part of the game, I get it. I just wish panini was consistent. Cody has outstanding redemptions for chronicles 22, immaculate, select & revolution. He signs for 2 new products and doesn't sign his redemptions...and now he has redemptions again.
If he's signing, have him sign the old stuff too before you toss him in new products with live autos. Now he's gonna have 5 sets of redemptions to fulfill lol |

I enjoy busting boxes of wrestling cards too much to stop doing it just in case of a .5% chance of pulling a redemption that won't be fulfilled.
The only thing I rage about in boxes is getting panini points instead of a hit but I haven't had that happen in awhile thank goodness. My case of this is supposed to arrive tomorrow so we'll find out shortly how that went haha
Apparently the Wrestling Card Gods read blowout. And its mojo! Dare I redeem?? I'll post all my boxes in a bit, still on Box #4, just had to stop for a sec to laugh at myself. |
I was going to get more, but my thinking is I'll put that cash towards an Austin auto if I don't a big one in the box.
This reminded me of the person who pulled an Austin auto from a case of last year's Chronicles blasters lol https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1573845 |
