This isn't my most expensive football card, but it's hands down my favorite football card and it isn't even close. Emmitt is my all time favorite athlete, and to paired up with the other two running backs that defined the 90's is just beyond awesome.

I pulled this card back in the day....I am from Massachusetts and no one knew who he was at the time....I keep all my cards as I have every card I have pulled!

Definitely not most valuable but certainly favorite.

I attended the mini-Cleveland 'National' in, I think, 2008. Someone had a large show at the actual Cleveland convention center, downtown, since the 'real' National was in Chicago that year. Had already picked up a few things, including a box of 2003 Contenders, while browsing the show floor. I had a bag full of purchases, so I headed back to the hotel. Opening the 2003 Contenders box, I quickly realized I needed some supplies. Hit an Andre Johnson Rookie Ticket Auto which, at the time, was a huge card. Being a Cowboys fan since around about 1988, I also needed to get the Tony Romo and the Jason Witten, from that same box, into holders as well. Mind you, at that time, really no one cared too much about Romo or Witten. Romo might have even been injured around that time, if I'm remembering correctly. Either way, I know the Andre Johnson covered the box and, well, I sold the Romo and Witten about a decade too early.

Anyhow, back to the show for some magnetics and toploaders. As I am leaving, I walk past a table with the stacks of sealed product you saw at shows back then. I look over the stacks of products and figure out how much cash I had in my pocket at that moment. ... 2005 box of Leaf Limited it was, and off I went.

Opened that back in the room after getting all the other cards sorted and this popped out:

I just remember staring in disbelief. Shocked, happy and just stunned all at the same time. After watching Dallas go from complete garbage, to winning 3 Super Bowls in the 90's and against staggering odds pull one of the best pieces of actual Game Worn jersey patches from one of the top sets at the time was just great. It's been in my collection since I pulled it. I do recall seeing most of the others, at some point years back, but the seller was asking way too much. Someone may have even pieced together AIK AN and was just missing this - but it wasn't going anywhere, and still will not.

I want to post more cards.

CP was my guy back then and a Gold SPA with the Bengal Face was as good as it got. I loved that card, heck I still do. I let it go during the peak of CPs value because I got an insane offer on it and couldn't turn it down. I've wanted it back ever since I let it go. Its sold 1 time since I sold it and I don't know how in the world I missed it but I did. I tracked down the buyer (who still has it to the best of my knowledge) but he is a huge Bengals collector and won't let it go. I try to throw him a message at least once a year but I haven't been able to get him to budge, yet!

Thank you guys! lol I always enjoy when a thread like this gets made because I know it's an easy choice for me. I was on the search for it for awhile when I was able to land it back in the day.

Awesome stuff up in here!! I never really thought about which card is my favorite so I narrowed it down to what I would likely keep if I dumped my entire PC. I primarily PC Mike Alstott so it was going to have him on it. I whittled it down to this...my favorite Mike Alstott card...

although my favorite card I've ever had is a 2003 leaf certified materials gold /25 rex Grossman. beautiful card. gave it away one time because I was sick of collecting cards. prob won't ever find another one. oh well. the magic of life prevails

Upper Deck really messed that card up.

They put all the guys on the back who should be on the front. I'd demand Beckett fix the problem by reslabbing it with the back facing up with the flip.
