Apparently there will be a Sapphire version of this? Pack odds posted on Topps website:

Have to wonder if Sapphire drops firsts as a tease to the TC proper product. Looks like it is ready to go.

Right. And they obviously have the checklist but won't release it.

Wow, that odds sheet is terrible. Unless they change the format from every other Sapphire release, each box will come with 8 packs and 4 cards per pack. Most Sapphire products suggest 2 #ed hits per box (but not guaranteed).

And if you thought hitting autos were difficult in hobby or lite, you're looking at 22 boxes before you hit a base auto and astronomical odds for parallel autos.

Plus 9 colors to chase is too much and depresses the value of a big orange, purple, red or 1/1 hit.

On the other hand, these cards will look amazing if they ever release. But let somebody else take the hit on the break.

Wow! I’m not a MC member but collect Sapphire singles in other sports and I can only remember a couple of recent $100 is direct box prices with many going for a lot higher.

Wonder how much these will go for on the secondary market if they aren’t marked up too much since $60 is the MSRP of some higher end retail mega boxes.

I don't believe there's been any indication of there being an additional signer. Email yesterday just stated there is an exclusive extended base set, although todays listing omits that.

Are there even any halfway decent rookies in it?

I think that's reasonable, if it were someone like Novak or Alcaraz you'd think the price would be higher.

This product sucks, thats all.

Theres only a handful of active players. Most of the players included are retired ones.

So $60 gets you a 4% chance for an auto and close to an 8% chance at whatever the extended base is... 2 guaranteed parallels, but only 5 signers and a rumored 41,000 boxes produced. 41,000 x 8 packs/box x 4 cards/pack = 1,312,000 cards just for sapphire, not including the regular chrome. Sadly this is not considered overproduced, which is another indicator we are in another junk wax era, but I digress. The price is ab right I guess... Still on the fence as a tennis fan, which is kinda sad at a measly $60

Are there any "RCs" in this release?


Any names worth chasing?

I'm a bit interested in what the White Sapphires look like...

It was on sale all day yesterday. Too many boxes made, there will be a flood of boxes and singles on ebay once they are shipped.

I took a flyer on a couple of boxes. Doubt I'll ever be able to rip Sapphire this cheaply again. Will be curious to see the final auto checklist.

Not bad! Like the Chang! Caty is a decent american player. More of a doubles specialist though

Opened 1 of the 2 boxes today. 3 color. No one of note.

This is an embarrassing set and checklist. Why even make this set if you literally can't lock in 1 major name.

Got my two. Pulled the Emma extended base auto, so got one of the rare positive value boxes. Not a lot of value other than that, but fun rip as a tennis fan.

Can someone show us what they look like?

Emma auto is probably the best card in the set. Hate to say it but the best time to sell that one might be now. Really hope she makes it back though.

A bit confused ab the extended base too. Are we talking one extra variation card like the Emma auto or are we talking one parallel for each player + an additional unknown player?

We don't have a checklist, we just have the marketing materials Topps has released. Could be only the 5 names released have autos, but we don't really know yet. The Emma autos are labelled #101 though. See there is now also a non-auto Emma #101 listed.

It sounds like that Emma parallel is what accounts for the extended checklist. Figures - Another bummer.

Is the Emma Raducanu extended base a SP? I only ask because I pulled one and there seems to be more autos of her listed.

These are my "hits". Big Foe is not a bad one.

Quality of the cards is very high. Shame about the selected players!

For as terrible as this checklist is, it's almost criminal that there is only 2 color per box. There should be 5-6 color per box to justify purchasing it. Opened the 2 I purchased and am done.

Hits from my two boxes. The Chris Evert Aces is numbered out of /25 and is pretty decent I suppose. Beautiful cards, will cross my fingers for a stronger checklist and auto checklist next time around!

Bummer, I think you got shorted. Having watched A LOT of Sapphire breaks in other sports, this definitely happens occasionally, with some boxes only getting 1 and others getting 3+.

If you still have the shrink wrap and opened packs, you can try to contact Topps and see if they will send you something.

Coco Gauff Green /75, Navratilova White /99 and Emma Base SP were my notable hits from four boxes. Underwhelming checklist but still enjoyed opening packs, especially sapphire at $60 each. Been a while since I ripped anything sapphire.

Shame that I really liked the card design but they couldn’t produce a decent checklist.

Also Topps advertising 5 auto subjects when the product only has 1 and extended base set card”s” when there is only Emma is the most Topps thing ever.

n of 1 here, but there are a hundred retired players I'd rather have cards of than any active player outside Novak, Nadal (kind of active), Alcaraz, Venus, and Swiatek. Problem is they didn't choose a good selection from either.
