titans will be a really good test for seahawks corners. julio and aj brown is a problem. they'll need the same pressure as last week and *somehow* contain henry. hoping for a fast lead to limit the rushing!

NINERS.

Colts fans, remember when you were up against a better team you'd think, 'At least we have a shot w/ Manning, or Luck'. I don't think that stuff anymore.
Wentz vs the Rams, no shot. |

Here's a guess. Saquon runs for under 3 yds a carry.
Not bc hes injured. Thats who he was before the injury. But bc hes trash as an NFL running back. This isnt college. Hes Ron Dayne Pt 2. |

Its a fine take. Dude is a home run hitter, thats it. Hes not a consistent runner. He gets 2, 1, 3, 2, 2, 4, 75, 2, 3, -1, etc. It kills drives.
Turns him into respectable aggregate. He's terrible between the tackles. All to this story is my overall view on SB, that just came up in an article I read today. https://www.si.com/nfl/2021/09/15/mailbag-saquon-barkley-production-concern-urban-meyer |

It's going to come down to the 49ers D-Line. If they cannot throw off Hurts its going to be a long day. |

I don't know what this means. I have nothing constructive to add the B10 thread after an embarassing loss. Why try? Seems childish. They lost. Is what it is. Not sure why I need to padlock my alcohol cabinet (whatever that is... I'm a beer drinker so I'd rather not lock my fridge) Your take on Dalton is still trash regardless. Apples and Oranges. |

Do the math on Yards Per Carry in the scenario you just laid out. Post you result when complete, please.
It was an example if his runs. But here is the article from PFF rep. "This is something that’s been on my radar for a long time—and it’s actually something I noticed after Saquon Barkley’s last game against my alma mater in 2017. The then Penn State junior had a 97-yard touchdown on the game’s opening kickoff. But the rest of the day? He had 44 yards on 21 carries and 23 yards on four catches. So I looked a little deeper at it and saw a pattern. By the time that season was over, Barkley had been held to fewer than 80 yards in seven of his final 11 games and had just 88 rushing yards the week before that stretch started. In 2016, Barkley posted just five 100-yard games and was held to 85 yards or fewer seven times. Which means in his final two college seasons, he had more games of 85 yards or fewer (14) than he had of 100 yards or more (10). Add in his freshman year, and he had 20 of the former and 15 of the latter as a collegian. Want some context? Jonathan Taylor rushed for 100 yards in 22 of 27 games his last two years at Wisconsin, and 32 of 41 games in his three years in Madison. Ezekiel Elliott rushed for 100 yards in 17 of his final 18 games at Ohio State, and 26 of his final 30. So those two guys, out of the same conference, were far more consistent coming into the NFL. And sure enough, this trend carried right over into the pros. Barkley’s played 32 NFL games and has rushed for fewer than 50 yards on more occasions (13) than he has rushed for more than 100 yards (11). Moreover, in seven of his 11 100-yard games, he’s had a run of 50 yards or more, which only adds to the idea that he’s a football Adam Dunn (.237 career average with 462 home runs). Now, it’s fair to say that with any running back, there are more factors than just how he’s running—there’s blocking, how a defense is playing him and how offensive coaches approach the game. I also couldn’t tell you whether vision is an issue with Barkley. What I would say, though, is week-to-week consistency of production for Barkley followed him to the NFL, the same it has for Elliott (a two-time NFL rushing champion) and, early on, Taylor." In summary, he's not really a good RB. |
Is that what happened? I was too drunk to recall
Sounds right though
Look.....everyone need to be the best at something, right? |
Headstrong is still going at it I see. It's good that he/she knows how to copy and paste.
I like how the article uses Jonathan Taylor and Ezekiel Elliott as the comparison. It's not like they have awesome offensive lines or anything. |

I like how the article uses Jonathan Taylor and Ezekiel Elliott as the comparison. It's not like they have awesome offensive lines or anything.
What can I say? I have a hatred for misplaced labels of bad players and saviors. As an example, Daniel Jones gets nearly 100% of the blame of the Giants issues. Saquon's performance factors in 2 ways: 1. SB is falsely seen as some savior RB that when healthy, makes DJs job easier. He doesn't. He's not truly a missing weapon. So there are false expectations on this season. Take week 1, and its early, but he was THE worst RB last week in efficiency. Dead last. I expect that'll get better as he heals, but dead last? Shouldn't be out there then. 2. DJ also, on the flipside, doesn't get to use missing SB last year as an excuse for low production himself. Wayne Gallman was close enough to SB that it didn't matter. In fact, he more consistently gets 4 and 5 yard runs than Saquon, which benefits the O. While Saquon averages 4.7 yds and Gallman 4.6 yds, HOW they get that is key. After 2 runs, Gallman is more likely to have you at 3rd and 2 bc he has no home run ability and his stats have no 80 yard runs that drive up his aggregate. Saquon has you more likely at 3rd and 7. I think that matters. And it has impacts that reverberate thru expectations of other players and teams. |

Damn........TNF announcers just announced "we're not going to show the replay" of the Giants' lineman who suffered a "gruesome leg injury."
I applaud them for not replaying the injury and I genuinely feel bad now for the Giants player. You wish they could just implant titanium rods into players legs and knees so we could enjoy this sport without the injuries. |
