Will be 28 all year ... seems old

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since 2011 bowman

Will he find consistency... can he get that second mvp ?

Or will he continue his white hot then cold career?

Bought the redemption card on eBay, and Topps sent back the actual card pretty quick.
I was afraid of what kind of dud patch I might get, but was pleasantly surprised to get this "sick patch" on the card.

The authentication sticker indicates that Harper actually wore this jersey on Apr 17th and Aug 31st.
I didn't know that players would wear the same jerseys with so many days in between, so that was kind of surprising to me.

Love seeing these cards. IMO the best player in Baseball.

I would still take Harper over anyone the next 10 years. He might frustrate people, but I think hes that good. Other than fictional War, I see Haper having a better avg/rbi/run/hr/obp and more games played than Trout in the 2020s

Harper just has to sustain his white hot Aprils all season long. When he is hot he is incredible

Yeah i kinda am just waiting for the compilation of stats for an eventual Hall Of Fame before i ever want to sell any of my cards of his.

I try not to add anymore Harper cards as i have quite a bit at this time but with how soft his market has been the last couple years it's hard not to keep adding more and more.

Great stuff. Are any versions of the #661 his first rookie card? And is the red helmet one the most rare? I’ve always been a little confused when browsing eBay for the Harper RCs.

PSA 10 Topps chrome picking up steam. Still think his best years are ahead. Advanced metrics were pretty great last year.

Beautiful card. His non prospect / non rookie auto cards are pathetically low right now. They look like a good buy right now. I think his prices will take a huge leap forward this year at some point.

Got so bored and annoyed with Harper....sold every a while ago!

What do you think a hot streak will do in this market?

I imagine anyone not named Trout, Soto, Tatis, Betts would see at least a 3-4x increase or more if playing at a no doubt MVP/absurd level the first month. Those guys are priced so high, their bump would be a lot smaller.

I just sold a 2012 Harper Prizm gold that I’ve sitting on EBay for over a year with a high bin. I hope I don’t regret it but was tough to pass on the $$$$.

That's okay, Harper isn't for everyone. I think he's great i love the passion that he plays the game with. He probably has an inflated ego and rubs people the wrong way. But I've always enjoyed those types of players that aren't just worried about their image or how they are perceived.

He is a good dude as far as i can tell though. And most his teammates seem to love him especially in his last few years and he's even done his share of trying to recruit players to join him in Philly.

As far as his numbers i feel like he's right up there with one of the best players in the game still. Top 15-20 for sure. He had more walks than strikeouts in 2020. If he can keep his strikeouts in check and keep walking like he has been that's going to be super impressive over a full season. He was really just spitting on balls out of the zone better than I've ever seen him. When he can keep from chasing balls down and away he's one of the top 5 hitters in the game.

Had a higher OPS+ than Mookie last year (and for career) with a bad lineup around him most of the season. OPS+ tells a pretty good story for best batters if you look at the yearly leader list for AL and NL. If he plays out his contract without a career ending injury I don’t see a scenario where he doesn’t make the HOF.

I just looked it up that was a decent chunk of change. I started buying some Prizm stuff last year nothing too amazing as I usually avoid unlicensed cards, but i see a market in the future for first year prizm and with it being Harper's rookie season it's a no brainer. The gold is an amazing card. Whoever got that one paid up for it but i could if this market keeps going the way it is then it seems like that will be a steal in the future.

I don’t disagree one bit. At some point if the 2012 release starts catching up even more I might regret it. Luckily I pulled that in a random box of Prizm that year, made it “easier” to let go. That was literally the first offer I had on that card and the year it had been up.

In this market there is a lot of room there .. obviously not to go to 7000

But I could easily see 500 and maybe 1000 with a good year

I have said it many times.

He plays out contract and just goes 130 hits 25 hrs per year. He retires 2500/500

Like 20 people have ever done that in the history of baseball

He literally just has to stay healthy and show up to games

So the topps update US183 is the desirable Harper rookie? I kind of asked this the other day because Harper’s rookie cards confuse me. I was going to grab a blue helmet #661 but should I get the update?

That Bowman Chrome Blue is a nice looking baseball card.

I feel like my collection needs one of those now.

If this crazy market stays through the summer. I could see a chance at huge swing in his cards

I picked up the Topps yelling/screaming factory set variation #661 BGS 10 (pop 5) for $100 over the summer, his PSA 10's (pop 1024) were probably $50-60 at the time and now are going for $125. But for as good as Harper is and as big of a star as he is, his prices are dirt cheap.

Harper's PSA 10 update's were going for about $100 a few months ago and have crept up over $200 now so the prices have taken a step forward but really hasn't seen the crazy effect many players have gotten during this card market frenzy.

Bryce has the overrated / egotistical stigma attached to him in a lot of investors/fans/collectors minds i think and it might even take another great season for him to erase that thought. I don't think that stigma is warranted but i can see that he definitely rubs some people the wrong way.

I am excited to see some fellow Harper fans and collectors. I have enjoyed seeing the Harper cards posted in this thread. Here is some of my Harper collection. I need to update my pictures because I have added a few things since I took these pictures. Also, I saved my best cards for another post.

I had 18 Topps Harper autos and I had a 7 1/2 month hospital stay last year so I’ve had to sell all but 3. I’m hoping when I go back to work I can build my collection back up. I started collecting him when we named our son Bryce. Some awesome cards here.
