box o stuff giveaway
 

I'm looking to give away a big box of stuff. Only caveat is that if you don't want some of the stuff that you get in the box, you in turn have to do a giveaway and give a bunch of it away yourself, and hopefully so on and so forth.

Anybody interested in a giveaway chain?

I’m in. I love letting my son pick out stuff when I open. He’d have a blast doing this too!

I’m in! Even if there isn’t a card that I would keep for the PC, going through a box is always fun! Especially when it would only cost $20 to send it on to the next person. Awesome gesture again mmbtvs!

I have stuff I could add into the box too, so no matter what we can keep the box going.

If done something like this in the past, and we just keep shipping the cards around to each other until no one wants anything left in the box. It’s a lot of fun!

Also wanted to add that I have a good deal of stuff sitting on/to the side of my desk to add to the box too.

For the record I have done a box pass along take and leave before, this one is a little different because nobody will be obligated to add anything to the box. You can take and not add, but if you want to add you are more than welcome to. Also each person will be responsible for figuring out who you want to send it to next.

I like this too. The cost to ship is very much outweighed by the enjoyment of just going through it whether digging anything or not. Cool way to pass along to other collectors. I would definitely add to keep it going

Received the box, my son had a blast picking up a couple of items for his Ravens/O’s collection and I grabbed a couple for mine. Box should be arriving at next destination tomorrow :) still a ton of great stuff still in there.

Sorry all. So I let my son look through first - he was super pumped that there were a couple Baltimore cards in there. First was his fav oriole Manny Machado (still his fav even through he’s on Padres now) and his first Hollywood Brown jersey card :)

My dad is an old school 9ers fan and there was a signed mini helmet of Bob St Clair so I grabbed that for him.

For me, I grabbed some Topps holiday and pink Update refractors Of Vladdy and Kieboom and Riley (love those two sets)

The box has landed in Cape Cod,

Kevin Machale auto! That’s a name I haven’t thought of in A LONG time!

The Black Widow shirt, was that a Marvel Black Widow or something else? Very cool to see, hopefully this makes it way around to me at some point, if it doesn’t no biggie, still love to see everyone sharing!

I didn’t even think about the idea of adding some other random stuff to this, not just cards. I want to see everyone use some creativity in what gets added!

She had a meltdown the other day because she misses me so much and didn’t understand why I couldn’t play barbies with her so I need to go see her. That is awesome that your niece loves you so much! I miss having kids around me that young, I now need to wait for grandkids before I have that again.

Go play barbies with your niece, who cares if this box ever goes out to someone else. Remember what is important in life, as it seems you do. The cards will be there when life allows you to do it, and we will all most likely be here as well.

I hope you enjoy the time with family!

I have a nice big stack and a couple other goodies ready to be put in and I do plan on sending it out when I get back.

Some great stuff in the box! Lot’s of cool items and everyone should be happy with what they can pick out. I will be sending it in a different box as it’s kind of beat up. But it was fun going through it! I ended up picking these things (other than the Vintage KC stuff jlzinck put there in there for me). I picked out a BO T-shirt (my size), some Royals Opening Day Parallels, a Nick Loftin auto (was drafted by KC this year), George Brett Donruss Jersey card, Tony Gwynn RC (collect HOF rookies), a Chance Adams Jersey auto (with KC now), and Jesus Sanchez Jersey card (now with my new local minor league team)

That’s awesome! Such a great thing that you were able to find cards for your PC! It is also such a good thing this seems to be finding collectors and not flippers in here.

I believe I have that same BO shirt that I got from my first ever BO purchase. IIRC it was an XL and has never been worn. If I find it, I may have to make sure it gets to someone here who would benefit!

I love the ‘57. I have been toying with the idea of putting that one together raw, but the biggies in that set are soooooooooo expensive.

So do we have a list of people who have stated they want in on this, so we have an idea of the route it's taking? I've stated interest, for example, but nobody has any shipping info for me, nor has contacted me regarding it so not exactly sure how we are "lining up"? :) Also want to get together what I'd like to toss into this as well.
I know this is in the baseball forum, but is this being held strictly to baseball then as well, or are we open to other types of cards as well? (as long as we don't strip it of all baseball and put like....fortnite cards in place? haha) :)

When this was all started by MMBTVS, he stated he was giving it away to one person, and that person could do whatever they wanted with it. That member who received it, decided to pull some stuff out for their collection and send it on to a deserving member. Then others followed suit.

There is no list of the order of people that it will be sent to or when. This is not really a first come first served thing either, and nothing in the OP even says anyone who gets it has to send it on to the next. They could keep it all for themselves.

With that said, be patient and hope that someone sends it to you. Sometimes these things go on for years, sometimes they fizzle out after a few weeks. Good luck!

Well I pulled out a handful of cards to keep, through in some new cards and the such. It is already all packaged up, will be picked up on Monday to go onto the next person!

It is great when you see someone decide to keep a card you put in there! I absolutely love this, and hope we can keep it going for a long time.

It would be really cool to see this become a staple of this forum and we keep this box of cards being shipped back and forth for years.

Imagine the stuff that would be in this box if we kept it going for say ten years, just the stroll through the years would be incredible and well worth the price of shipping alone.

I really do like the card, and it has found a home! Thank you so much for adding that card and for participating in this!

I got the BBOS (big box of stuff) today! Found some very cool items to add to my collection. There is some VERY nice stuff in the box. It was cool seeing oddball stuff in there, lol. I will be topping the box back off this weekend. Ill post what I picked up probably tomorrow. Havent picked someone to send it to next so look for a PM in the next two days.

I think this box has already made it to more stops than most of these make.

BTW the best success I had, one made it to 30 people before it broke down.
