Contest: Guess When PSA Will Complete My Orders
 

PSA is frustrating as hell, as I know it is for everyone, so I thought I'd at least try to make light of things. I have two bulk orders that have been sitting at PSA since January. One order is 153 cards and has been with them since 1/9/20 per their system and has been in Stage 3 - Research and ID for months. The other order is 435 cards and has been with them since 1/14/20 per their system and has been in Stage 3 - Research and ID for months.

So here's the contest:

The smaller bulk order has multiple Prizm Draft Zion Williamson Base #1s (white jersey RC). Several of them should get 10s. These are currently going for around $100 on eBay. If someone correctly guesses the exact date PSA ships this smaller order back to me (as per what they list on their website), then I will give you a PSA 10 Prizm Draft Zion Williamson #1 (if none of them get 10s, which would be ridiculous, you will get a 9 instead).

The larger bulk order has multiple base 2019 Topps Heritage RCs of each of the Big 4 (Tatis, Vlad, Alonso, and Eloy). If someone correctly guesses the exact date PSA ships the larger order back to me (as per what they list on their website), then I will give you a combination of PSA 9s and 10s (one card of each of the Big 4) that adds up close to $100 in value based on going market rate at the time.

There are no gimmicks or catches. All you have to do is guess -- and then wait along several more months with me. However, there will only be one winner for each order, so if there are duplicate guesses for the same date, I will award the prize only to the first person that correctly guessed that date. To avoid this, I would recommend just not guessing the same date as someone else. If one person were to somehow guess both dates correctly, that's OK, the same person can win both prizes.

Hopefully the pace can improve with this corona crap on the wane. I've kind of taken the send it and forget it approach. Some of the stuff has drastically increased in value since I've sent which isn't all bad provided those values hold.

A non-update update... Nothing resembling any movement on either order. Both still in Research & ID. My personal guess is October at the earliest for both.

Small order has made it to QA2 as of today. 7/30 and 7/31 guesses looking possible!

Large order says it’s now in assembly, but I never got anything to say it had moved to grading nor asking me to review things for accuracy, so I’m not sure if that’s actually correct or not.

Status on hold indefinitely due to covid pandemic

Seems my complaining this AM paid off. Grades were average. No upcharge on a Zion Prizm 10 and a Coby White Silver Prizm 10 at least — and several other $200-300 cards.

No one got the date exactly right. Jscotta1989 missed by a day. Will give him a Zion Prizm Draft #1 PSA 9 as a consolation prize.

Apparently JScott works for PSA but didn’t want to make it too obvious by guessing exactly right. Large order shipped today. His guess of 8/27 was closest (there was another 8/27 guess which was a duplicate of JScotts and doesn’t count as per original post).

Tatis Heritage PSA 9 (~$40) as consolation prize for being closest.
