Optic Megas in the Wild
 

Saw 4 Optic Megas in the Wild last night. Didn't grab them but this Luka and Trae to some extent streak is nuts.

Is grabbing them at $38 per really going to net much on the secondary? I see they sell around $50 per but with fees and shipping it's not a great net.

Anyone see these pushing $100 per this season?

I definitely think it's worth buying at that price. I'm sure that you wouldn't even have to wait to find a buyer for 3 of them at $180... after fees you'd net your money back, and have one free one to rip!

Target or Walmart? Weren't the Target ones the flash set and like, 2 packs?

I've seen online that there are two versions.

Buy and rip.

18-19 Optic Megas? If so that was a NO Brainer

Buy them all, open them, dump into bath tub. Bathe in Optic Glory.

This just caused me to drive to my wal mart. Still lots of Prizm blasters and pink packs but no Optic.

I found two of them at Walmart last week but left them.

I'm pretty sure i have Optizm. Self diagnosed.

Updates on wax:

42ct mega sold for $65
58ct mega (rookie set) sold for $75
Blaster case sold for $850 ($42.5 each)

That’s like double SRP for the mega and blasters, for the tiny chance of pulling Luka ��

Prizm in the wild - crazy

There has been an Optic blaster sitting at my Walmart for weeks and I always stare at and walk away. Picking it up today after seeing the price increase. I’ll just place it on a shelf and wait. The way Luka is playing can’t help but make it increase.

I would say the optic mega with the 50 shock rookies is now a good buy... they are $50 but the Luka is now $50 on ebay and the Trae is $10. Plus you get 2 packs with the slim chance of pulling something. You break even or somehow get lucky and pull a luka worth grading... the 3 of mine have all had white edges, all the same - bak bottom edge.

I bought a 7 pack box of 19-20 college prizm and hit 2 Zion prizms. Are these cards that overproduced or did I do well?

I recall seeing an Optic WM mega a few weeks ago. I’m sure it’ll be gone if I check but there’s only one way to find out right?

Damn, Luka Optic Shocks are $50 per?! I barely sold 5 at like $10-12 per months ago.

Found 4 Optic Megas at Walmart this week. Passed on them at the time. Was curious if they're a good buy. I don't collect basketball, but I'm a Mavs/Luka fan. So I'd strictly be opening them for Luka.

That in mind, good buy or not?

Yes, if you can find them at MSRP, very good buy at this point.

Not sure what SRP is on these, but they're $38 at Walmart here locally.

The target Megas were readily available a couple weeks ago but definitely did not seem worth it at the time.

Man I can’t believe these things are still out there. I’d say buy them if they’re still available, then flip for $ to just buy the Luka. You can probably make $20 profit off each box, with $80 you can get yourself an optic RR and maybe something else

I pulled a Luka from a blaster a couple months ago and sold it for like $10 shipped. Wish I'd have held on to it now. Imagine of he played for a decent team in a decent hoops market.

Sorry but Dallas and Texas are football country. Team may be decent (I know they were terrible just a couple years ago) but this town is still known for its football and the Cowboys.

The biggest sellers at the LCS around here are football then baseball. Then way down the line is hoops then basically non existent is hockey. Football and baseball probably outsell hoops 10-1 or 15-1.

You need to learn how to hold. I stopped in LCS and grabbed 5 revolution packs and hit a Luka Chinese New Year. Great looking card.

I do need to learn that. One of many things I need to learn in this hobby ... how to make money, how to hold, what/how to grade, when to sell, who to prospect, to stop busting as much retail, etc.

I found three optics mega at walmart near my work. I believe we should see optics mega at Walmart now. I was surprised. Im goin to visit all
The walmart today to hunt for more 2018-19 optics mega, im pretty sure they r out there.

If you’re gonna open them anyway and to avoid this problem, would it make sense to open them there in front of CS to confirm the contents?

It’s MJ Holdings and excel, target and Walmart employees rarely stock. I’ve actually never seen a Walmart employee stock

Found one optic box in the wild, but there was a tear on the top corner of the box- I went ahead to open it in my office. Opened my first nba box since 96-97 when iverson/kobe were rookies.

Bought them all. Hit the auto and a Lebron James Pink Disco Lakers uni to 20. How'd I do?
