Can’t believe it is here - the 2019 National. What up today all my friends here on Blowout??

Been a crazy year getting a card shop going, so I have been fairly touch n go on the boards, but now the focus shifts...It’s National time baby! Chi-Town. The week we all look forward to. Card Chaos.

Our 5th consecutive year!! Last year I had just opened a store (newbie of about 2 months), this year I have a solid year down as shop owner and wow how things have changed! Can’t wait to chat with so many of you who I have got to know over the years. Truly, all of you have helped the Meelypops movement become what it is today. Thank you.

[B]Please come find us & let us make you some deals. This year will be our strongest ever content wise & WE WILL BE BUYING EVERY MINUTE OF THE NATIONAL. It's always poppin at our booth and will be very easy to find. [/B]

[B][U]BOOTH DETAILS[/U][/B]
-->Like always, we try to have something for every collector at each level of spending...
[B]1) Roughly 12-13 All State Glass display cases[/B] with mid/high end (all sports / non sports) MODERN AND VINTAGE (always have awesome stuff!). I would say range of value in cases will be between $50-$1000 cards and then we will have a few high end cases with the big dog cards.
[B]2) Memorabilia[/B]: JSA & PSA authentic Autographed photos/balls/frames, rare photos,
[B]3) At least eight '$1-$10' 3-row boxes[/B] with tons of low/mid end sorted by sport, lots of solid stuff. Should also have multiple 3-row boxes of $10-$30 cards
[B]4) Trading/Gaming Cards [/B](mainly Pokemon & Yugioh) w/some very rare stuff. Last year we made a lot of sales & trades from this end of the booth, look forward to it again.
[B] 5) Deal Boxes![/B] 25 cent cards organized by sports and teams!!! 100 for $20!!! These are not the typical ‘.25 box’ cards, much better You guys have absolutely ransacked our 25 cent boxes in years past. Love it. We will be prepared! Also will have $2 jersey/auto card boxes organized by sport with some sort of bulk discount
[B]6) CONSIGNMENT CASES[/B] – Something I have dabbled in years past to help out folks, but this year I have incredible customers who want me to help sell some of their high end cards. Man we have some bangers! This case alone is worth checking out
[B]7) NEW SELLERS:[/B] Bringing a few other Florida sellers with us, one of them being a real OG of the Blowout boards, mike-the-ripper!!! He will have a case as well. Time to bring him out of retirement lol. Also one of my long time NBA buddies John, who hasn’t shown his stuff off ever, will be with us. We shall see how much old school exquisite I can get him to bring! Of course my dad will also be around a few days, don’t burn him too hard on deals hahaha! Will have one of new employees Bryan as well, he kills it on Facebook/Reddit and this will also be his 1st National. And of course, my lovely wife Meredith will be holding us boys down keeping the show running smoothly and collecting money :cool:
[B]8) WAX! [/B]Yes for the first time ever I will bring some wax. I am going to focus on rare wax and stuff people don't always see. Won't be a huge selection, but we will have some! Not trying to compete with the big market wax dealers lol.

Absolutely great idea. They do it GYM’s why not at card shows.
On a separate note I stumbled upon your cardboard connection interview recently and it is the most honest and revealing interview I’ve heard from a card guy.
Really appreciate it and encourage everyone who hasn’t to listen to it.

Hey Jameel! We will definitely be stopping your awesome booth - you always have great stuff and always so nice to talk with you. Will be there Wednesday through Sunday. I will be bringing some very nice cards to sell (as are my sons) - so hopefully we can at least make one deal like we do every Chicago National. Let's start to see some of the cards you will be bringing to the show - you always have the best selection and prices at the show and treat people right. I highly recommend everyone makes your booth their first stop - as you always have some cards for everyone from low, mid, to high end. See you soon!

I've got a newborn in tow this year so I won't be able to make it.....but I can't thank you enough for selling me the display case last year as my last thing to take home. It's had some great use at some shows in the Boston area.

I'm a newbie to the MB's but since you asked, I'm looking to pickup an Alvin Davis Topps Archive autograph. I should never assume, but on ebay they are listed at $45 plus ship and my expectation is that he is the common box kinda guy. Uh, it's Alvin Davis, one of the kindest people in baseball and here I am digging for his autograph when all I need to do to is a TTM request C/O the Mariners. inundated pricing and getting things together for national.... this is going to be our best year in terms of INVENTORY!!! So many awesome things can't wait to have that meelypops frenzy at our booth!!!

some unique things that I hope to have in addition to everything else (currently organizing and working on)

-HTF insert box (football/basketball/baseball) - this is a tough one, but hope to have it
-Priced raw vintage 3 row box ($3-$20) (50s to 70s named stuff non graded)
-Chicago Only box ($1-$30): bulls, cubs, white sox, bears, white sox, etc

back to work!!! will hope to have pics later this week of some big cards!

I once did an Iowa Cubs Fanfest where you could do that, it was so awesome and easy to setup that way.
