I decided to make a specific thread for Luka. This will be someplace we can talk about anything Luka. It can be about game highlights, cards....his mom, etc..

Finally after several days Luka and the Mavs are back in action tonight. I wonder if Hardaway and Lee will be playing. I also heard a rumor the Mavs are trying to trade Harrison Barnes to free up cap space. So he may be gone tomorrow.

Excited to see him live. Going to see the Mavs play the Nets on March 4th.

A Doncic jersey was delivered today. Hoping my 8-year-old son can get it autographed before the game. He managed to get Donovan Mitchell to sign a jersey at Barclays in November so I have hope for him.

Nothing better in life than seeing the pure joy on a kid's face after a moment like that. The Mitchell jersey is framed above his bed.

Without DeAndre Jordan mopping up all the defensive rebounds and without DSJ/Wes/Barnes hogging the ball, Luka's production is about to go way up.

In the first two post-trade games, Luka has averaged 27/10.5/8.5, which might be a reasonable indicator of what we can expect going forwards. His shot attempts are way up - 22.5 FGA over past two games compared to season average 15.8 FGA.

If anyone is familiar with Haralabos Voulgaris, high stakes sports bettor and current head of the Mavs' analytics department, you might recall that he was raving about Luka immediately after the draft. Haralabos had previously expressed a great fondness for Kristaps Porzingis, and the recent moves by the Mavs definitely have Haralabos' fingerprints all over them. Now that is particularly interesting to me because Haralabos had also made comments in the past to suggest that he agrees with the ultra high-usage role that the Rockets give to James Harden.

Anyway, I think we are about to see things get very, very interesting.

Was definitely not a great shooting night. But he contributes in a lot of different ways besides scoring so that is something he can always fall back on when the rock isn't falling. I've been more impressed with his rebounding and passing lately then anything. It'll be interesting to see how high those averages get if he can keep up this pace.

Rooting for Luka but it seems like Bucks have a team that could bother Luka some. Lots of quick, long and rangy defenders.

The Bucks are a very good team. Giannis is so good he's pretty much impossible to stop because of his athleticism and ability to get to the rim. Bledsoe was stuck to Luka all night like glue. Really trying to play him hard on defense but he still managed to score 20. It wasn't really much of a game though unfortunately.

Didn't one person on here pull like 5 of them in a case? I mean they look nice but yeah there are a lot of them. I like the /49 blue version that card is pretty.

Well not the buzzer but the last 5 minutes or so Luka took over and they came back and won. Pretty amazing how dominant a player he is at only 19.

Last game before the all-star break, 10 days before they play again. I hope Luka has a big game tonight. I feel like he's ready to explode for 40 anytime now.

16-11-9 at the end of the 3. Looking like an easy triple dub.

We can only wonder how many extra assists he would get on a team with better shooters. His vision is truly elite.

Yeah no doubt i was thinking the same thing. They need some shooters bad. He's giving them nice looks but they can't buy a shot.

Mavs and Luka back in action tonight. Feels like it's been forever. :)

I missed the game last night i had to work. But here's the highlights. Such amazing court presence and vision. Luka looks like he's 19 going on 35 :)

What happened? Sorry i worked all night last night. Im finally just getting up from a nap after being awake for 30+ hours straight. Gotta love it when they call you to come in for work right before you normally go to bed.

I would go with this. I really think barring a tragic career ending injury he's about as much of a lock as you could ask for out of a young player. Wait until he gets some other players around him who can score. He's going to be a triple double threat every night. His averages keep rising so it's really hard to say how good he can be. I think he can be close to a 25-10-8 player. He aint real far off right now really.

You watch it? I caught last 5 minutes after Heat v Warriors. He hit two 3s from 3-4 ft behind the 3pt line in that time. Made it look very easy. Damn he's good!

We can't say "He's only 19" anymore! Can't believe how much brighter the mavs future has gotten over the last 8 months or so. It's gonna be exciting to see how they build this team around him and Porzingod. Gotta imagine there's a lot of guys out there that would love to play with him.

I just hate how expensive his cards already are. I want to get the prizm base and silver, but they are just about outrageous. Don't see them going down anytime soon either unfortunately. May just have to stick with base rookies for now.

Yup I try to watch all the Mavs games. I have bought the one team deal for NBA league pass for like $50. Worth it to watch him play every game.

I think before Luka broke out, this WAS going to be Dirk's last season. But I really think Dirk enjoys contributing what he can and will want to be around to see what next season brings.

Dirk is playing much better now that he has rounded into shape. Ankle surgery really set him back this year. Don’t forget KP will be in the mix . Will be fun group to be around.

Im really interested to see who they will go after in FA. They will have the cap space to target another big time player if they choose. They need a couple good shooters. Luka would have more assists if his teammates could hit more open shots on a regular basis.

Luka plays PG. He can play SF but he's the primary ball handler.

Brogdon would be a nice guard playing next to Luka. Great defender who can shoot and handle the ball without being ball dominant

Jalen Brunson is good i like him. I think he can turn into a good SG guard or serve as a good second string PG. They traded everyone for Porzingis it's tough to say how they'll look next year. Hardaway Jr. has played real well also. I like Brogdon high 3% they need that. Tobias Harris wouldn't be bad either.

Yes please. Dude is quietly putting up 50-40-90 this season which only 7 guys in NBA history have ever done: Curry, Nash, Durant, Dirk, Bird, Price, Reggie.

All while playing great all around ball. I didn't realize he will be a FA. Is he a realistic possibility?

As the board’s resident Brogdon fan, Dallas is just about the only place I’d be okay with him leaving the Bucks for. He’d pair well with Luka.

Brogdon is an RFA, so Bucks control what happens to him

That means they have to match the other teams offer or else let him go. Guess it all depends what a team is willing to give or what Bucks aren't.
