What's your favorite sandwich?
For me, it doesn't get any better than a BLT with mayo on toasted rye.
If Other, please explain (Hope Solo has already been taken) ew. |
HOPE SOLO
HOPE SOLO
Oh... you. |
Any...
|
Dang I forgot to add PB&J.
Also for you smart alecks, "Hamburger" doesn't count. Neither does "Hot Dog". |
Bacon Egg Cheese on a hard roll
Corned Beef Reuben |
Oven-roasted chicken, salami and cheddar cheese
|
Bacon Egg Cheese on a hard roll
Corned Beef Reuben
I am assuming fried egg sandwich. Yep those are good too. I tried to add egg to the poll, but was limited to 10 choices. Rueben's a good one too! |
French Dip with provolone and horseradish sauce is the way to go.
|
Does a chick fil a chicken sandwich count?
PB&J Turkey with mayo and mustard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Other: Turkey, Bacon, Swiss, Mayo, Brown Mustard & Spinach on whole grain or whole wheat.
|
Club sandwich might be close second.

PB&J Turkey with mayo and mustard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
While Chick-Fil-A is awesome, it doesn't count. I wanted to keep this fast food free. Just wanted to limit it to sandwiches that can be home made, or commonly found at most restaurants/sandwich places. |
Club sandwich might be close second.
Mattingly! I told you to shave those sideburns! |

Only took 15 posts but BLAMO there it is. Well done. You get a shiny gold star ⭐️ |
Super Beef.
I'm sure it's called something different elsewhere, but that's what it's called around Boston. Fresh hot shaved roast beef on a buttered and grilled onion roll. |
The Chef in our restaurant recently experimented with a Deep Fried Grilled Cheese. (Provolone Cheese and a Nine Grain Bread). It was glorious

Yes the Arby's Meat Mountain is delicious. |
Bacon Egg Cheese on a hard roll
Corned Beef Reuben
I like this guy. :)! My two favorite are Reubens (but on grilled sourdough, not a rye fan) Bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel. |
The only answer to me is a Cuban sandwich.
|
Roast beef, Swiss, white sub roll, a little mayo.
I have one of these every Saturday with my daughter after her dance class because there is a sandwich shop next door to the dance studio. The owner just happens to share mutual interests with me so I will go in, chat him up, chat my kid up and enjoy a good sando. |
A Reuben.
Or a nice MLT – mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe. |
A toasted tuna sandwich is usually my go-to.
But I had to vote Philly Cheesesteak. A good cheesesteak, done right, is life-changing. |

Chicago style Italian Beef

When I worked as a line cook at a greasy spoon restaurant, I would make a grilled cheese with egg salad and bacon. It was awesome.
|
A large schlotskys original on sourdough bread. I doubt I spelled it correctly and don't know how far it goes regionally but those are da bomb.

Smoked Meat. From Schwartz's Deli in Montreal. There is nothing that compares.
Smoked Meat. From Schwartz's Deli in Montreal. There is nothing that compares.
You read my mind. I was in Montreal a couple months ago and ate there 3 out of the 4 days, absolutely phenomenal. As for a sandwich I can get regularly; a cuban will do :) |
I've always liked a good Reuben.

But I had to vote Philly Cheesesteak. A good cheesesteak, done right, is life-changing.
I'm with you on this... I recently was craving some tuna salad, so I semi-followed a recipe online and made tuna melts with it. Instantly became one of my go-to's for a quick meal. |
You also forgot grilled cheese!
I know, but the poll only allowed 10 choices. Grilled cheese clearly should have been one, based on some of these answers.
I'm with you on this... Stuffed hot peppers with hot Italian sausage on a hoagie roll with marinara sauce and melted provolone.
It was actually a sandwich that was offered down at PNC park a few years ago. A client up the street from me that owns a Italian restaurant makes it for me on request. |
I will not pay the 6-10 bucks for that small nothing sand which
It is actually good sized. The picture doesn’t do it justice. And the arugula salad on top is not needed. Trust me it’s a good portion of a size that’s super thick. |

How many times have you tried that line? |
Ummm, pulled pork is the correct answer...

Club from my favorite jersey sub shop DA Subs..
Turkey, Ham, American Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon and Mayo on a sub roll |
Ummm, pulled pork is the correct answer...
Pulled Pork is fantastic. There's a sub shop about a mile away from my place that makes the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It's the perfect balance of heat and sweet. And they will add pickle slices to it if asked. Think I might go before work.... |
And they will add pickle slices to it if asked. Think I might go before work....
Prefer it topped with coleslaw. |
Salami, pepperoni, 1 slice of sharp cheddar and pepper jack, mayo, mustard, banana peppers on roasted rye

This sounds fantastic. What do you call it? |
Reuben is probably my favorite.
French Dip’s are also delicious. An Italian Sausage sub at a local sub place here is also amazing. |

Never gave it a name but started making it back in high school. Only change is I no longer put sweet pickles on it |

With the exception of the female soccer player that shall remain nameless, I like all that have been mentioned. However, my favorite generally speaking is the Cuban, mmm.
Here in Fort Worth at Billy Bob's Texas (yes, it's a real place) they have a sandwich that has pulled pork, ham, fried pickles and chipotle sauce. It has to be one of the best damned sandwiches I've ever thrown down my gullet. If memory serves, it is called The El Murano. |

Not big enough :) |
taylor ham, bacon, egg, cheddar on an everything bagel scooped. No way you can take a bite if it isn't scooped.
Non breakfast: prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and balsamic on semolina bread |
Simple, grilled cheese.
Who doesn't make a grilled cheese sandwich to go with a nice bowl of soup when they're feeling under the weather? |
