What's your favorite sandwich?

For me, it doesn't get any better than a BLT with mayo on toasted rye.

If Other, please explain (Hope Solo has already been taken) ew.

I am assuming fried egg sandwich. Yep those are good too. I tried to add egg to the poll, but was limited to 10 choices.

Rueben's a good one too!

pskell02 03-13-2018 05:10 PM

French Dip with provolone and horseradish sauce is the way to go.

While Chick-Fil-A is awesome, it doesn't count. I wanted to keep this fast food free. Just wanted to limit it to sandwiches that can be home made, or commonly found at most restaurants/sandwich places.

Super Beef.

I'm sure it's called something different elsewhere, but that's what it's called around Boston. Fresh hot shaved roast beef on a buttered and grilled onion roll.

Reubens (but on grilled sourdough, not a rye fan)
Bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel.

lambeauleap87 03-13-2018 06:58 PM

The only answer to me is a Cuban sandwich.

JMarchand1981 03-13-2018 07:39 PM

Roast beef, Swiss, white sub roll, a little mayo.

I have one of these every Saturday with my daughter after her dance class because there is a sandwich shop next door to the dance studio. The owner just happens to share mutual interests with me so I will go in, chat him up, chat my kid up and enjoy a good sando.

kerg 03-13-2018 08:13 PM

A Reuben.

Or a nice MLT – mutton, lettuce and tomato sandwich, where the mutton is nice and lean and the tomato is ripe.

TheFrenzy 03-13-2018 08:38 PM

A toasted tuna sandwich is usually my go-to.

But I had to vote Philly Cheesesteak. A good cheesesteak, done right, is life-changing.

A large schlotskys original on sourdough bread. I doubt I spelled it correctly and don't know how far it goes regionally but those are da bomb.

As for a sandwich I can get regularly; a cuban will do :)

I'm with you on this... I recently was craving some tuna salad, so I semi-followed a recipe online and made tuna melts with it. Instantly became one of my go-to's for a quick meal.

I know, but the poll only allowed 10 choices. Grilled cheese clearly should have been one, based on some of these answers.

Pulled Pork is fantastic. There's a sub shop about a mile away from my place that makes the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich. It's the perfect balance of heat and sweet. And they will add pickle slices to it if asked. Think I might go before work....

With the exception of the female soccer player that shall remain nameless, I like all that have been mentioned. However, my favorite generally speaking is the Cuban, mmm.

Here in Fort Worth at Billy Bob's Texas (yes, it's a real place) they have a sandwich that has pulled pork, ham, fried pickles and chipotle sauce. It has to be one of the best damned sandwiches I've ever thrown down my gullet. If memory serves, it is called The El Murano.

Who doesn't make a grilled cheese sandwich to go with a nice bowl of soup when they're feeling under the weather?
