I'm also thinking Warriors in 5.
|
Man I hope it goes more than 5...
Cant pick against GS. GSW- 6 Games |
thunder in 6
I'm just a hater ......73 wins . don't mean a thing without that ring..... LMFAO ... GO BULLS :p:p:p;););) |
Can golden state neutralize westbrook and durant? OKC's twin towers of Adams and Kanter looks formidable too.
|
OKC IN 7. I wanna see KD/Westbrook & co vs Lebron/Kyrie & co in the finals.
|
GS in 7. This should be an fun one.
|
GO THUNDER GO!
^^^Spurs fan jumping bandwagons! OKC are a better version of Portland whereby they only need to be "within reach" in the final minutes and they can win any game. GSW heavy favourites, but OKC will win at least 2 |
Okc in six.
As a basketball fan I hope we see a great series. If Chuckbrook & Druant doesn't play hero ball and continues to find a third person to step up and Contribute, I think they can win this in six. |
Take okc in 6, doesn't really matter to me who wins though
|
Thunder, KD and Russ, please, please, please wreck this next series. OKC in 4!
|
So who gets the First Tech?
|
Warriors in 5.
I think it's a matchup thing. Spurs didn't have enough athleticism to go with the Thunder for 48 minutes a night. Warriors do and their execution is in a whole other level. I'm mostly looking to see what Durant does. If they stand a chance, he needs to average at least 40. |
A good matchup to watch. Good luck to both teams!
|
Warriors in 5. Easy walk into the Finals again.
|
Thunder in 6 or 7. All games the thunder could've won. They've gotten a lot better at closing out games
|
I'm also thinking Warriors in 5.
LOLZ how many have written that before the 2nd round. I hope Durant Shows Curry who is da real MVP! Please OKC shut down GS and quiet all the bandwagoners!!! Can't wait too bad it doesn't start Sunday! |
Dubs in 6
|
Thunder in 6.
|
LOLZ how many have written that before the 2nd round.
I hope Durant Shows Curry who is da real MVP! Please OKC shut down GS and quiet all the bandwagoners!!! Can't wait too bad it doesn't start Sunday!
You hope Durant introduces Curry to his Mom?? |
You hope Durant introduces Curry to his Mom??
VERY FUNNY but forget Durant's mom Curry has the MVP mom I wish I was witty, cause I would come up with something for M.V.P and milf.... |
will definitely be a interesting/good series...
Curry/RWB...should even out Klay/Roberson, Waiters...has to be advantage Klay barnes, Iggy/KD...has to be KD Dray/Ibaka..Dray all day Bogut/Adams...ehh i dunno toss up? might even come down to the Warriors bench being extremely better |
VERY FUNNY
but forget Durant's mom Curry has the MVP mom I wish I was witty, cause I would come up with something for M.V.P and milf
She's a grandma dude. |
I'll take the Dubs in 5.
|
She's a grandma dude.
lol I know ...but she is also a mom I was never the best student but I think in order to be a grandma you first have to be a mom and the award isn't G.V.P ....LOL |
Warriors in six.
|
Okc in 6. They're playing their best basketball and closing games consistently. Didn't think they had this type of defense but the line ups are working for Donovan. Let's see if they pull off the stunner. Thunder up
|
Warriors in 5.
Warriors are a better TEAM, and they have a cheat code #30. Games will be exciting, but this will be one of those series where Westbrook tries to do too much, getting hyped off what Steph does on the other end of the court. |
Note to self: As an international collector who is seven hours ahead of EST and so watches the game first thing in the morning NEVER log onto this forum before you have watched the damn game!!!!!

Stephanie |
This should be a poll. Warriors in 5. This is like a matchup of 5 on 10. The Warriors bench will demolish the Thunder bench.
|
I assume the Warriors will be too consistent and won't let more than a game or possibly 2 get away from them...
So... Warriors in 6... However, anything can happen when Russ and or Durant go off...I'm done trying to figure OKC out... |
Assuming everyone is healthy for the series, Warriors in 5.
You gotta have a guy who can bother Curry consistently first and foremost if you want a chance against them in a 7-game series. I don't think the Thunder have that. Westbrook will have a miserable series. Bad matchup for him. It's going to be a tight series for sure and should things get very difficult, the Warriors will use their death lineup more than they normally would. Kerr saves it for only when it's necessary so I'm curious to see how much of it he will use in the WCF. |
Warriors in 4.
|
Warriors in 4.
Bold pick. Though I honestly would not be terribly surprised if this happened. The Warriors are that good. |
Warriors in 4.
Ok so you think Portland is better than OKC? Thunder in 6. unlikely but not impossible!:coffee: Cmon OKC Shock the world:eek: |
The Thunder need scorers to keep up with GS, and they just don't have anybody beyond KD and Westbrook. This is what concerns me.
I'm going Warriors in 6, but I think that's being hopeful. |
Thunder in 6.
|
This will be an exciting series.
Awesome match up. OKC are a chance to upset. I think it's a 7 gamer. |
If both teams are complete, Warriors win in 5 or 6. Who wants the thunder and a game on the wire for a friendly wager unless frowned upon by mods?
|
Ok so you think Portland is better than OKC?
Thunder in 6. unlikely but not impossible!:coffee: Cmon OKC Shock the world:eek:
There is no transitive property here...
Thunder in 6.
LMAO, someone is finally out of hiding. |
A lot will depend on Donovan and how well he can adapt his lineups when GSW goes small. Multiple bigs worked wonders against the Spurs, but I'm not sure that lineup will have the same traction this round. I think GSW wins, but it could go 6/7.
|
Bold pick. Though I honestly would not be terribly surprised if this happened. The Warriors are that good.
If I believe in GS to win the series, why not? :) I just think picking 4-2 or 4-1 are just too conservative.
Ok so you think Portland is better than OKC? Thunder in 6. unlikely but not impossible!:coffee: Cmon OKC Shock the world:eek:
I don't see how you can find a better team (OKC vs Portland) when they don't play against each others. First, Portland played Curry-less Warriors. Second, OKC could give a good series with 16 overtimes, but they could still end up 0-4 in the series. Just because I predict the series will go 4-0, it does not mean OKC will give no fight to GS. |
I can see it either going in 4 for gsw or it could be a drawn out game 7 battle it just depends on which okc team shows up!
|
It depends how closely the games are officiated. OKC benefitted from playing rough against the Spurs with routine forearm hits against Lamarcus and Kawhi (and on inbounds passes). If games are officiated evenly, I expect Warriors in 5 or 6. If OKC can maul Klay and Steph coming off screens, then it could go to 7. But since Warriors are not big on 1-on-1's or post-ups, I don't think OKC strategy will work that well.
|
There is no transitive property here...
LMAO, someone is finally out of hiding.
OR someone was at WORK. Something you probably know NOTHING about. |
Aint no one beating GS
|
Thunder in 6 - if it goes 7 then GS is winning it
Thunder still have 2 of the 3 best players in the series so you can't count them out. The lineup with Adams and Kanter is going to be tough to guard with Bogut banged up. I'm sure I'll be wrong but that's OK as I honestly don't care which team Cleveland plays in the Finals |
Going to be a great series, personally I think this maybe the toughest test yet for the Warriors, granted the Thunder continue to play like they did to close out the Spurs, now we all know they can go the opposite direction and Westbrook is still a ?? Also the Spurs was really on their last leg and age got to them. Warriors have younger legs and will win if it becomes a shoot out, I think the Warriors defense will win as well. I also still think the Warriors bench is much deeper and if Ibaka and Jackson do not perform then Thunder will fall, even if Durant puts up over 40 and Westbrook has one of his triple doubles.
GO DUBS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Warriors in 5 or 6! No one is beating GS 4 times in a series.
|
Warriors in 5 or 6! No one is beating GS 4 times in a series.
Maybe not in the West... I'll take that bet when the Cavs get to the Finals |
Warriors in 6
|
Considering 72.19% of those voting in the Spurs v Thunder poll favored the Spurs I'm not so sure these predictions are all that important.
Let's get this series started so we can get a ton of Russ bashing, Curry hating, Curry loving and ref complaints along with at least about 5-6 posts about Lebron, MJ and how boring 3 pointers are!!! WCF should be entertaining basketball and even better basketball forum action :flex: |
It's hard to see the Warriors losing, right?
They've been so good and dominant, but I think OKC is playing better than they did in the regular season, so it should be a great matchup. I'll go OKC in 6. |
Thunder in 6
|
Maybe not in the West...
I'll take that bet when the Cavs get to the Finals
Warriors over Cavs... I'll take that bet. |
Huge Thunder homer here!!!!!
Thunder in 7. This is an extreme uphill battle for the Thunder after going through the Spurs and now the Warriors. I did like the Thunder's defensive energy the last couple of games. They are going to have to play great defense all game long, every game of the series if they are to beat the Warriors. |
This one is tough. I really don't know. Given how the Warriors played vs the Blazers abs how the thunder played bs the Spurs I'm leaning towards the thunder at this point
|
Warriors over Cavs... I'll take that bet.
Lets set some stakes... |
Warriors in 6
Will really be a challenge for OKC. Facing a team that still this year has not lost in consecutive game and now you have to have them lose 4 times in a 7 game series including taking at least one in their home court |
The thing about the Warriors is that they can turn it up a notch and take their game to the next level when they need to. Not sure OKC has that extra gear yet.
And the fact that OKC had leads in the 4th quarter and blew them in all three regular season meetings is going to mess with their heads, especially given that no lead is safe against the Warriors anyway. |
Lets set some stakes...
Can I get in on this? |
If I believe in GS to win the series, why not? :)

Just because I predict the series will go 4-0, it does not mean OKC will give no fight to GS.
Agree with all of this. But I'm still going GS in 5. And I think that single OKC win will be a close final minute steal of a win. Should be a good series and I hope OKC gives them hell. I just don't see the Warriors having any real trouble with OKC. |
Warriors in 5 or 6.
I think the Warriors will easily take game 1. The key will be game 2. If the Warriors win that, it will be a quick series for the dubs. |
I think it comes down to whether OKC can play the twin towers and dominate the boards. If they can, because of a banged up Bogut, then they have a chance. The problem playing Adams and Kanter against GSW is that defensively they will struggle to stay with a small ball lineup, especially Kanter who's head will be spinning with how fast the ball is moving!
Because of this I think OKC won't succeed playing the two together, and will have to downsize. When they do I can't see them beating GSW in a series. Warriors in 6. I am looking forward to plenty of fun with Adams and Green on the floor! |
OR someone was at WORK.
Something you probably know NOTHING about.
You've been to busy at work for the last month to hate against the Warriors? I went to work the past month too and somehow, found time to root for them.
I honestly don't care which team Cleveland plays in the Finals
Probably because both teams would beat them, obviously. Makes sense to me. |
Assuming everyone is healthy for the series, Warriors in 5.
Ok so you think Portland is better than OKC?
Thunder in 6. unlikely but not impossible!:coffee: Cmon OKC Shock the world:eek:
Am i crazy to think portland has the better bench with aminu and crabbe than okc? Also if okc uses their twin towers, warriors would just run. How fast can kanter and adams run? |
What the heck is their death lineup?
I'd assume he's talking about when they go small and put Curry, Klay, Igoudala/Livingston, Barnes and Green on the floor. |
Why do teams have trouble with this lineup? Not familiar with the specifics of basketball.
|
Why do teams have trouble with this lineup? Not familiar with the specifics of basketball.
Because it is the most versatile lineup ever. Aside from Curry, you have everyone who is about 6'7" (see JustinVerlander's response on who), can pass, defend, rebound, shoot, switch, run the break, you name it. It causes complete chaos on both ends of the floor and there is no team that can replicate/match it because of its personnel. If you have a big dude, you're in trouble because no big dude is going to keep up with Green at C. Green gets that rebound and he is OUT. Conversely, he will still abuse you if you put some small dude on him. Green can rebound over most centers so imagine putting some guy his size on him. You got a big dude clogging the lane trying to play that defense? Green stretches him out. Same with HB. It makes having big guys running against them useless unless they can absolutely punish Warriors down low, and not too many are capable of that. You adjust or you're screwed. But you adjust and you're still screwed. If you have a guard who likes to attack, you're in trouble because everyone in the death lineup is versatile, long and exceptional defensively with the will to help while still recovering everywhere. That is why that lineup is a big problem for a guy like Westbrook, who is a big PG but pretty small against just about everyone in death lineup. Even if Curry stays on RW, RW will have to try to go through SC knowing there will be some nasty help behind him. The thing about RW is that he will just go anyway. That's why he shot 34% against them in regular season and they didn't even run the death lineup all that much against OKC. Again, I don't think Kerr will consistently go to it in WCF unless the Thunder are clearly outplaying the Warriors in some way. He usually likes to finish with that lineup & that's about it. The only time he went all out with it was during the Finals last year. Forced Mozgov out of the game, LeBron shot under 40% and the rest is history. |
Okc in 6!
|
go gsw, cant stand westbrook hope curry humiliates him into retirement
|
As a Spurs fan, I hope the Thunder stomp a hole in the Warriors
|
I love the Thunder, 2nd favorite team behind the Celtics, been following KD since Texas, bought league pass just for the Thunder, see em in Boston every year etc etc
But the Warriors arent going to lose. They are going to win the title. Thunder will win a game, maybe two but its gonna be the Warriors in 6 Then the Warriors are going to stomp the Cavs....again. |
