Even with a real strong second half, economic factors could make it a wash for offseason pricing IMO. If he’s just good in the 2nd half and ends up with an only OK ending stat line todays prices could be considered overpays in November.
I have a ton of respect for his skills but it seems a slightly bigger risk to buy now than wait. I’d say the likelihood of prices being higher in the the offseason are about one in 5 IMO:
Incredible rest of season= +20% in Nov
Very strong rest of season= no change
Good rest of season= -20% in Nov
Avg rest of season= -30% in Nov
Similar performance rest of season= -40%

Thats how I see Soto’s performance scenarios and probable price differences from now. Economic factors have the entire market swimming upstream with Levi’s on. If everyone plays as expected I’d expect a 20% shave on it all 5-6 months from now.
