When I first read about this card, I almost died laughing when I saw the article said the original seller of this card was so happy to get $170 out of it that he immediately listed two more Honus Wagner cards on eBay hoping to find not one but two more fools. Feel bad for the Mars guy that he got taken and can't just admit it isn't real and move on, he keeps this whole thing going and going.

If I sold a T206 Honus Wagner reprint as a "Reprint of the famous Jason Mars wagner" instead of just a plain T206 Honus Wagner reprint, would the Mars one get more money?

Yes. Well, you would at least get more laughs, groans, eye rolls and chuckles which are all worth more than money ... plus, you may be able to eek a bit more out as well :)

I'm pretty sure you aren't getting $2 doing it that way. You need a dummy like Jason Mars on eBay to fall for it, no one here is going to do that. Plus, there will probably be a public stoning just for trying it.

Oh man I saw this pop up on the front page and was really hoping that something had occurred to reignite the saga of the "Bonus Wagner" but alas....

What if all this hoopla caused the card to garner some fairly significant value in the eyes of someone. Like say, $500? I doubt the owner would sell for that, but you never know. Stories behind specific cards can mean a lot.
