So, the 'trick' was you were able to see your grades before you received the email?
What was the trick exactly? Do you right click your card and click 'inspect?' There is just a ton of code and drop downs. Thanks
The images were in the source code for the home page. They fixed it and just the images before the card was graded are in there now. |
Grades popped for the bulk order that I was able to view before with the trick, all matched except the one that would be worth the most. Changed from 10 to 9, thanks PSA.
Have a feeling this will be the case with mine. Wish I saved the images before they fixed it. |

The pre-QA PSA 10 image still exists, alongside the 9. So weird seeing the same cert number with 2 grades |
October 1980-Present Bulk Special
Nov 15, 2024 Estimated Feb 14, 2025 91/131 (~70%) gem mint. All but 3 of the remainder were mint. Considering this order contained a lot of early 90s stuff, I'm quite satisfied. |

I'm just glad I didn't more cards that I actually did. It was a 43 card order. |
I've seen 1 post here about the value bulk turbo special this month. Has anyone else used it yet? Thinking about using that for some of my cards this month.
Yes. 6 days from order arriving to assembly so far. I have another value bulk order that has been in assembly for over 3 weeks now. Same thing happened on my last value bulk order where it was in assembly for over 2 weeks before grade reveal (which just happened to fall on the 45th business day.) I understand the rationale, but it is extremely frustrating and I’m not so sure it’s going to have the intended effect they’re looking for. |
I'm not sending anything else in until things speed back up.

Type: December 1-15 Value Bulk Holiday Special (2020-Present)
# of cards: 11 Estimated Completion Date: TBD Shipped: 12/16/24 Delivered:- 12/20/24 Received per PSA: 12/20/24 Research & ID: 1/7/2025 Grading: 1/15/2025 Assembly: 1/17/2025 Assembly Green Check: 1/23/2025 Grades Ready: 1/24/2025 QA: 1/24/2025 Shipped: 1/28/2025 It’s being shipped out of NJ. PSA really needs to stop having everything g shipped to California and then sent over to NJ. Cordon off the country and based on where people live have packages shipped to either CA or NJ. It would certainly speed up the process. |

Be more picky on corners. I've learned if you can see the defect without magnification then the odds of getting a 10 are low. If you need a 10x loupe to see it then odds go up a bit but they're still catching most of those. Nov 16-30 1980-1999 Special - 67 cards This one went into grading a couple days ago. |

This is the way it should be. It’s not rocket science. People who know cards and examine everything closely and know how to accurately evaluate the condition should have an easy time clearing 70-80% gem on 90’s cards. It’s not that 80% of 90’s cards are gem—most are not. 10’s are hard to find but are easy to identify when you see one using the criteria provided by PSA. If you are honest with yourself and examine everything closely and are picky in what you send, you SHOULD have a high gem rate on 90’s cards. When you have an experienced grader using the same process on the same cards over and over for a decade and suddenly rates on all subs drop by 70%??? That’s when there are BIG problems. Then to see rates return to normal?!?! That’s definitely a PSA problem that was resolved. They should offer a recall for all modern orders placed within that window where bulk orders of gem quality cards were inexplicably trashed. |

If it’s hard to tell with the corners, because they have it in a sleeve and top loader, I’m out. I wasn’t at first, and I’ve been bit, so now it’s priority. If the seller has it listed as Excellent without stating the flaw, I’m out. I’m at 65% right now over the last 6 months, so there are some holes in my process. I know exactly what the problem is, so I expect better results going forward. |

I like to pre-grade the cards in stacks of 'definitely' and 'maybe,' and then give it a day or so and then look them over again. My last order with mostly modern cards took a big hit, however. I didn't change anything and my previous two orders (again, just modern) were a high gem success rate. I agree that we should be able to get a great idea of what to expect, but who knows if the one grading my cards even has as much experience as me and aren't evaluating them correctly. |

I can do 70% but 80+% is tough most times nor is it necessarily beneficial, at least on a resale level. If the gem rate is too high, then the submitter is likely disqualifying some cards that would get a 10. And, the added 90s gems will cover the cost of eating some, perhaps many, 9s. I'll roll the dice more on Michael Jordan cards since the gem premium is large and the 9s still move. |

For sure. I do sub cards I know will not gem so my rates are lower as well. But, I’m mostly a 10 collector on my favorites so I’m extra picky about what I send. Getting a 9 on a card that should be a 10 is so frustrating because the process of finding that card in a 10 starts all over—when you’re holding the “should be 10” in hand! There’s still a huge drop off in Jordan 10’s. Why is that?! Did card companies damage just all their Jordan’s?! Did Fleer and UD just make more gems of every player but Jordan?! Of course not! Jordan should be no different than any other player and yet he is graded dramatically differently than any other name in the hobby. That’s total BS IMO! That’s classic population/market control and anyone who subs lots of Jordans has experienced this. That’s simply not accurate or trustworthy grading. |
