Nice time for a commercial for a $90 GS ball.

eastbayak 05-22-2016 09:31 PM

Love my Dubs but they got absolutely man-handled by OKC

Klay Thompson's -41 is tied for the worst plus/minus in a playoff game dating back to 1997. (Bucks' Khris Middleton vs. Bulls in 2015)

Amazing how many ppl are avoiding this thread tonight.

Tired of hearing how GSW will "bounce back". I see them losing by 15 on Tues.

JOAKIMCOLLECTOR 05-22-2016 09:35 PM

havnt lost back to back games all year. game 4 is a must win for both teams.

you may be tired of hearing it but it doesnt change the fact that they have bounced back all season after losing and thats impressive. will the thunder be the first team to beat them 2 in a row????

the27guy 05-22-2016 09:40 PM

The playoffs are a different animal boys and girls. Didn't SA lose just one or two home games the whole season?

I said it during GSs beat down of OKC in game two. The length and athleticism in a 7 game series is too much for GS. They better have something to adjust their game plan with ASAP. Or they are toast.

Cheken 05-22-2016 09:42 PM

Would take a lot for okc to repeat this for game 4 and for GS not to come out in similar style to game 2. I do hope Okc wins game 4 as it still isn't over for GS even if that are down 1-3, just how crazy this team gets when things heat up

tiger221166 05-22-2016 09:49 PM

My feeling was that GS got plenty of open shots in Qs 1-2 (OKC defense wasn't anything all that unusual) but just came out cold, and played total crap defense end to end. Usually when their shooting is bad, they've seemed to turn up the intensity in other ways, but that definitely wasn't the case tonight. Game 4 will be fascinating. OKC will be brimming with confidence ..

cdub6238 05-22-2016 09:51 PM

i realize that Kerr is his coach and just "defending" his player...

but him flippantly saying that crotch shot was nothing more than a basketball incidental contact "that happens all the time"...and saying if the NBA suspended him for it they should "rescind it immediately" is pretty suspectno matter his excuse for saying it

thats a joke

fullmetal 05-22-2016 09:51 PM

Kerr needs to get his eyes checked, if he thinks green's kicks were unintentional. Suspension a must.

And Green was a -43 and the MVP was -39

Why would you mention Klay?

MVP with -39 in a playoff game? Worst ever for a reigning MVP.

Its what happens when the 3 pointers don't fall, ONE DIMENSION.

cdub6238 05-22-2016 09:59 PM

Draymond's response was even worse...

he didnt know he kicked him?? he was just following through on his shot??

what shot...he had already lost the ball..

not to mention he was all smile n grins while talking about it

To be fair, they did win three out of three in the regular season (and fairly close together at that). I'd say OKC are probably winning this series 2/3 of the time, but this also has some parallels to last year's finals, though GSW showed way more gumption in game 3 that time..

I did get the point. Take 15 shots and 10 3 pointers and it's not hard to shoot 5-15 and 2-10 for almost any NBA player.

Average. It's about the average. Most NBA players can do it once in a long while.

Curry does SO MUCH BETTER every single night. My point was that it was abnormal for him. The points were decent, but for him, VERY subpar.

THAT was the point. Not that ''almost any NBA player" could do it on any given night.

Curry NORMALLY does better EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.

Decent/good stats for some, are bad stats for him.

Why so sure? I'm intrigued by your confidence. I think you might be right, but OKC is playing at a different level right now, and the open jumpers Cleveland is getting right now against the raps, they will not get against OKC.

I think the only chance they have is if OKC keep playing like this and have no injuries.
If the Warriors are out the league will want their other poster boy to win, which would mean the Thunder aren't just playing against the Cavs......

I think the offense of OKC vs. Cleveland's defense is in OKC's favor, and I also think OKC's defense could be tough for Cleveland. Lebron would have to be, for a lack of a better term, "Jordan-esque", to beat OKC, imo.

But that's just me.

Mongol 05-22-2016 11:34 PM

If okc can beat Spurs, warriors, than of course they could beat the cavs. The ultimate road warriors, not having home court in any of those series.

They're just rolling right now though. Their length and athleticism killed the Spurs and is overwhelming GS. If there's an answer to it, his name is lebron - but with the length to guard the perimeter, and great interior d, that matchup (if it happens) won't be an easy one for Cleveland.

devo 05-22-2016 11:52 PM

Can't believe some people are talking like the series is already over. If GS comes out and takes game 4, they can easily go back home and take a 3-2 series lead.
Yup. Game 4 winner is taking this series. Are those percentages guesses or based on some numerical method ? ;)
Just based on the likelihood of each game from my perspective. I felt pretty strong during game twos drubbing actually that OKC had a real shot at this. If warriors can't create chaos, and OKC stays healthy and engaged, I think OKC wins. I really do. I thought that when they were down 25 in game two. That length and athleticism is overwhelming GS and really has in 10 of the 12 quarters this series, just as it did SA.

The pressure is so huge on GS now. They have the MVP, coach of the year, and the all time wins record....

But they'll go down in the record books as the best to ever not win it if they don't pull this out. Game 4 is the biggest game in the NBA this season. Maybe in the last two seasons. A potential dynasty rides on it. Can't wait.

If you're a GS lover or supporter and you've been saying how curry is the greatest ever or this team is the greatest ever, then this is the time to see them prove it. If they can't, then they're just another team.

drobfan8 05-23-2016 03:18 AM

Well that was enjoyable to watch.

Great to see some of the hot air taken out of some of the GS fans that have been a little too over-confident this year.

Game 4 is just going to be ridiculous. I agree, D. Green should be suspended, which might also help them as they're so deep and losing a player that's not playing well isn't that big of a deal.

Wow, what a spanking.

byronscott4ever 05-23-2016 08:36 AM

It can't be too common for a conference finals to have a 45 point swing from one game to the next can it?

The Warriors Must win game 4 and it will be really hard especially with the home confidence of Westbrook and Durant. Steph Curry should just take over and let it fly, and then that will open up looks for Klay to keep on splashing the Net.
I am looking forward for this Epic game 4. It might go to double overtime.

i don't think okc has a great defense either, i actually think they're terrible on d. okc just average 40 for the first three quarters in game 3, that's on pace for 160 in a game... look at the defenders they have on the warriors too: klay, iggy, bogut, green, barnes. they're not scrubs and to think they are is moronic.

Not worried one bit about the MVP stepping up. More concerned with our second unit stepping up, such as HB and Livingston. Also, Bogut needs to stay away from foul trouble early on.

For two games out of three, Westbrook has been. That being said, it's a 7 game series. At the end, there will be a discussion of who the better player is based on who performed better in the biggest head to head match up in each player's respective careers.
