Almost certainly. The whole country, including CA is on a shelter in place order for the foreseeable future. If that was the case on january 26, then no games, no flight, no crash.

But when it's your time to go, it's your time. Sadly, it was Kobe's time.


Great pickups regularp!

Sitting around the house got me really wanting a Kobe/Shaq Lakers vertical game worn patch card. Turns out there really isn't a lot of that out there. I'm happy with this one :)

I recently started sorting through all my Kobe cards to get them organized and logged so that I know exactly what I have so that I don't pick up duplicates especially with today's prices. While going through one of my base card boxes I came across this card:

Apparently I picked this up in a trade over on the Beckett trade forum back in 2013 and for whatever reason put it in the base card box.

has anyone else noticed the price increase of the 2012/13 Prizm base....getting $75-80 raw on a regular basis. made me start digging through my base boxes.....

The card in question is Kobe's Topps Chrome RC, graded BGS 9.5
Most sales seem to be in the $1500ish range (maybe a bit higher depending on the subs) unless the sub is a 10 centering. Noticeably this one:

Now, granted I don't know if the sale was legit. But my question is:
Does 10 centering make that big of impact on the sale price (generally)?
Or is this particular listing because there was not even a 9 subgrade? Or some combo of the 2?

It's also not critical as I have no intention to sell. I just like to update my database of my personal collection from time to time with reasonable value estimates and was thrown off by this sale (and struggling to find other 10 grades on centering)

Centering is certainly important, but if that really went for $5,995 it's because it had virtually no greening. That's one of the best looking Kobe Chrome rookies that I've ever seen, which is why it went for that price.

That would go high because of the lack of greening. $6K is higher than PSA 10s though so I'm a bit skeptical on that sale...though everything is going up so who knows for sure.

There's a seller on eBay (kgdfast) listing some hummers. Messaged him and he plans on listing quite a few more over the next month or so. Biggest ones are Raise The Roof, Slam Bams, '97 Flair Showcase Row 0 Legacy, '97 Z-Force Super Rave and a '99 Fleer Game Breakers.

Someone hit the BIN last week on the E-X2000 rookie in PSA 10 for $6,996. Could not believe it lasted that long at that price. That grade does not come up for sale very often.
