He will have a strong week and just fade away 10 days later. But...at the end of the season he will have 27-31 HRs... Drive in about 75-80 RBIs... Bat .285-290 with a .925 OPS and score 100 runs.

I needed Rizzo to homer for the Topps Home Run Challenge, but they pulled him after two at-bats.

Here's to hoping that Happ has figured things out.

Loving the Casty addition and Lucroy looks like a great pickup too until Willson comes back. If they can just slightly improve on the road they should be able to win this division.

This team is so weird. Glad they rallied this one.

Also, sad to see Soler finally having a big time breakout year. But of course after they gave up on him so soon.

Unbelievable - they just cannot win on the road this season and this was a new low for this team. Time to stop going after the scrap heap for relief pitching. Darvish has been a tremendous bright spot this 2nd half - but the bullpen continues to let this team down. Very frustrating. Only good thing is the Cardinals and Brewers are up and down too. Let's hope they find a way to win in Pittsburgh.

What a dumpster fire.... BP needs to get healthy ASAP or the Brewers will run away with division.

When is Kimbrel supposed to come back?

I felt that one coming. Felt just like when Kimbrel blew it in Milwaukee. Every good bullpen pitcher is hurt. Starting pitchers gave us two quality 7 inning starts and we still blew it

I swear the 2019 Cubs find more ways to lose than they do to win.

Anyone think another second baseman would have had at least one of those that got past Happ? Defense and bullpen yuck. Madden will get all the blame but like at some point these players have to make pitches and plays regardless of who is in there.

Well Derek Holland was a terrible idea and Strop couldn’t get a little leaguer out.

I was confident with just a Wild Card spot but I’m not even sure if we’ll get there with how we’re playing.

Wow is the Bullpen bad.

Yeah it is so frustrating and 2016 seems like 20 years ago right now. This year should be a peak year for this roster. Anything can still happen down the stretch and I do not think we have a chance against the Dodgers should they get to the post season. Yeah defense in 9th really did not help. I guess the Cubs are trying to keep us interested for all 162 games. On paper this team should have a 10 game lead at least. Should they miss post season they need to make drastic changes - and most importantly stop trying to fix their bullpen issues with so many cast offs. Starting rotation not getting younger. This is a must win series against Pittsburgh coming up.

Most want to blame Joe but he's only playing the cards he's dealt. Look at the talent that has left the place. LOL
