Not even a question. He outplayed Curry and no one can disagree
But I thought Curry was best player on the planet.... please explain further.

curry isn't even the best or second best player on his own team!

?? Then how come we all had to endure those Curry threads talking about how he was the best and how the "Torch had been passed" from MJ to Kobe to Steph".

Kobe to steph, huh? No lebron in there anywhere?

Curry is most definitely the 2nd best player on his team this year, but he has regressed a tad from last year (which isn't a shocker given how ungodly he was last year).

I would take Curry on my team all day before Klay.

Would still put him at second best, but he's regressed more than a tad this year..

6 less PPG, .8 less assists, 1.2 less rebounds, .3 less steals, while shooting 3.6% worse and 5.4% worse from 3.

For December he's been averaging 21.4/4/6 while shooting only 42.7%.

These numbers were all before that turd of a game he laid today.

I know his scoring totals have taken a back seat with Durant on board, but that's no excuse for him to be dropping in every category.

I do realize that he could go for 40+ the next month and be lights on, but up into this point this year, he's taken a pretty big step back.

For this game not mattering at all, there sure are a lot of lebron fans acting like it's over for this year lol

I just loved AGAIN that it was Kyrie that they go to when the game is on the line, but lebron will be the greatest to ever play

I don't understand why people ask so much from a guy/girl who average 11pts on big stage

Not sure anybody called this anything other than what it was... a big regular season win against a rival.

As for Lebron, very few actually say he's the greatest to ever play. If you could list out who does say that, do so and I'll be proven wrong. But if not, then you are just sensationalizing.

Ohh, and Lebron had a monster game today regardless of who took the last shot.

He did have a great game, but he didn't have the best stats out of anyone else that played today. It was just another example of his teammates being better than those of the team he was playing. He's made his whole career doing that :)

And I'm not going to waste my time going through every thread to find who all thinks lebron will be the GOAT when he retires, but if you want to do a search on here, especially some recent threads, you will find some that think he will be the GOAT at the end.

So you really think his supporting cast in last year's finals was better than Golden State's combo of Curry/Green/Thompson/Barnes?

Or this year: Kryie, Love, Liggins, Thompson vs. pick 4 of Durant, Curry, Thompson, Green, Zaza?

lebron>Durant
Kyrie>Curry
Love=K. Thompson
T. Thompson<Green
Liggins= Zaza

Benches are also about equal if the nod doesn't go to Cavs. Just look at today's bench point difference.
Cavs: 25 (between just 3 players)
Warriors: 13 (between players)

Where are you seeing the disparity in favor of the Warriors?

Warriors have 4 of the top 6 players on the court, that's probably what he's talking about, however it's silly to act like LeBron has no help, he has plenty of help.

I don't even agree with the Warriors having 4 of the top 6. I think it's a lot more even than that. I say the Cavs have 2 of the top 3. Between the 2 teams, this is how I see it.

1. lebron
2. Durant
3. Kyrie
4. Curry
5. Love
6. Klay
7. Green
8. Tristan

Then I also take into account that Curry is NEVER good against the Cavs, so in my mind, the Cavs SHOULD win.

Plus I take the bench into account, but I already showed those numbers in a previous post.

I have LeBron, Durant, Curry, Kyrie, Klay, Draymond, Love, and Love as a distant 7 in it.

irfuji 12-25-2016 07:54 PM

All the GOAT and whose best talk aside.

If this was a preview of the NBA finals it's going to be an awesome series that I can't wait for.

I've never said he has no help. As a matter of fact I've made it very clear that he has the Point Guard who has performed much better head to head in this matchup.

But you are right on the top players list.

Lebron is still top dog out of this bunch, but if you look at players 2-6, 4 of them will be Warriors. Could make an argument that Love belongs somewhere in the top 6, but still, the Warriors have a big 4 where it's LeBron and Kryie, then Love.

From there, Thompson is a very good role player, but nowhere near the level of Green, Thompson, Curry or Durant.

You'd think lebron would have learned his lesson by now.

I don't expect class out of him anymore though. He's been one of, if not the most, the most classless superstars in history.

1. Why are you bringing up old stuff....

2. Would you disagree that he's the best.

3. Do you think Jordan believed he was the best when he played (BTW, he was/is)
