And money... so, 52 Mantle PSA 8's... yeah, going for $300-360K... six months later... $430K. Yeah, I mean, those smart guys with their money... must have been his performance! If you got the means, and you want it... you'll pay.

Honestly, I don't have one. The prices that so much of his high end stuff is at right now... I can't follow, nor trust what is real and what isn't. I think the current numbers you see on most of it, are way too high... probably, because a lot of it is, or has been, manipulated. At the end of the day, these cards I'll never be able to afford to own... they are what someone (hopefully legitimately) is willing to pay for them!

So $120k is too low because it’s only 2x the gold, and $186k is too high. But you don’t have an actual opinion on a fair value, but we’re definitely wrong. Ok.

Ok... this is data. Again, Trout is an exception, not exactly part of the rule.

a) Seriously, what's the difference between gold wave and gold... both numbered to 50. (That's rhetorical, no need to answer). Gold Wave is new, didn't exist in 2011. That said, let's say you average those... just, because MATH... now Oranges are a bit more than 2X

All I ever said was that I couldn't believe that jj would state that (roughly) $118K or less should be the max on the Orange, because a gold sold for $59K.

To me, $118K would be my starting point... not my end goal!

True. Gold sold for approximately $60K last year, so that doesn't not mean the 2009 BC superfractor 1/1 is worth 50 times i.e, 3 million. It was sold for 400K. Vegas Dave might use this logic one day though to sell his Superfractor:D
