Back from vacation and don’t need it turning into the BoNut Hayfield

Did notice the hot weather was trying to dry out some spots. So the irrigation system will get set for scheduled waterings to avoid looking like The Compound
Only a maroon gets an irrigation system for a LAWN.

HOA's allow feces filled back yards. I think that's a bit of a reach. :coffee:

#12 finished yesterday, with all the rain I’m thinking Wednesday or Thursday it will need it again.
...for now...

They'll be filming Grapes of Wrath II before summer's out

Never been fined. Have received 2 notices, but as they've never fined me they were obviously unwarranted

Technically, I didn't have the system installed. It was installed prior to purchasing the house.

That said, it keeps the grass green and lush year round.

OK, I will withdraw my initial characterization of you as a maroon for installing the system.

Your continued and evidently enthusiastic use of the system, however, does unfortunately place you back into that category.

Our previous house had one when we purchased it. We never used it.

FT JR is going to have to cut the grass this weekend as our neighbor cut his yesterday and it appears to be half an inch lower than outs which will send the HOA into a tizzy and give us a violation I'm sure.

Indiana's aquifers are healthy, so it's all good

We also make sure there's no weeds (aka "native plants") growing in the middle of our yard too! (We do have an area of our landscape that is dedicated to the pollinators with native plants etc)

Still 5 steps above anyone in the Boo lineage :flex:

Sooooooo, you're saying that the HOA is incentivizing you to maintain your property???

If so, you're giving the precise example for their use case...

Or you could do it instead of prancing around town with Glen.

Yes, have the guy with leg and arm pain issues mow the lawn instead of a perfectly healthy teenager who wants to earn money. While we're at it, you should just suggest my wife with her heart issues does it.

Their grass is shorter than we like ours. Theirs will probably die in this heat beaing that short.

I should send this to the HOA. :D

Lucky #13 finished. Some highlights…

- Suns out Guns out, worn my America Land of the Free sleeveless shirt
- it was more buggy than normal. Something bit the back of my arm, it met it’s demise.
- Missed a baby rabbit (plan of your hand size) by 6 inches. The dumb thing ran out of high grass right in front of the mower. Lucky for it, it zigged and missed getting chopped up.

I’ll probably have it hit it again by Monday.

I'm rooting for the rabbits. Our neighborhood has had a rabbit renaissance over the past couple years, likely correlated to the relative decline of the cat population. I typically see 5-6 each morning walking the dog.

I'm not sure if you can call it "FOMO", but there was definitely a rush in my neighborhood on Thursday and Friday morning to get yards mowed.

It was like nobody wanted to be the unkept yard of the neighborhood with everyone having their friends and family over for BBQs and what not.

For some people, lawn mowing constitutes compensation for other shortcomings in various aspects of their lives. :coffee:

Number 7 or 8. Not sure. It started raining halfway through but only for about 10 minutes.

#5 in the books.

Was able to get out there early to beat the heat. Hopefully woke a few people up too! :flex:
