Ordered 34 comics on Friday from the CF PA warehouse got them this morning in NY. Nicely boxed and sent by Fedex. Here's a sample of how they did it.

Thanks so much for the shipping updates/pics. Cool to know. Im glad the soft slabs arent bendy and actually firm.

I'm curious in the future if they will offer raw comics or if you are forced to purchase the soft slab. Shipping raws can be much more dicey.

Also does it seem like it'd be easy to take a comic out of a soft slab? In the rare event one has a hot book that looks like a 9.8 candidate...

I’m used to grading cards but not comics. Most of these look nr-mt to mint meaning clean edges and corners. A few had slight bends around the staples but not many.
The soft slabs can be cut open with decent scissors.

Man, I don't know if I'm lucky or not. I pulled the 1:269 Batman vs Spawn which is the rarest non-auto cover, but man... The inked versions are really, really not my thing and I just wanted my glow in the dark cover!

The Batman Spawn sales appear to be brisk so far… someone already hit a 1:1000 dual auto and the :666 Capullo auto also hit. For some reason CF is showing same ratio for single and dual autos. The singles should be :666 per other sites.

Unlike most trading card and comic collectors, I have a very small budget per week for comics (around 40usd) so I buy one of each cover I like and stop, even if I want a variant.

Thought I'd give slight context to why I'm annoyed that I got another variant for Batman vs Spawn on my second attempt to buy the Glow In The Dark cover... This time the 1:26 B&W one! I like my covers coloured, stop taunting me with these inked and B&W variants!

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the pre-order deadline is in like 4 days despite only just going online?

Yeah… it’s weird Batman/Spawn preorder cuts off so quickly (10/17) … that def cuts into potential sales vs if it was open for 3 or more weeks of preorders.

This month has sooooooo many cool covers. Going to go broke!

Them putting up 2 months worth of comics b/c they were so behind on releases makes it worse lol.

When you guys order do you usually do large purchases all at once?
I did my largest order today and got wrecked on no variants.

I've had more success on small one offs here and there. I wonder if the algorithm takes order size into account.
Also seem to have less luck when items are new vs when cut off date approaches.

I think we all expect them in each order optimistically. With me it’s really random so far. Big orders, small orders, single title, mixed titles, I have no clue. :D

Yeah you're right, I probably shouldn't be worrying about it so much...but this method of buying makes it too easy to "try more" lol

Autographed? I'm sure it's legit but what kind of authenticity does it come with? Is it on the factory label or something? I assume CGC wouldn't accept these as authentic for SS grading, right? Or have they worked that out?

It’s the dealer incentive available through all comic retailers for Batman/Spawn preorders. I’m not sure what CGC would do but I believe in addition to the signatures the actual cover will be a variation (Ie easily differentiated from the other almost 2 dozen variations for the issue even without the sig) so I think it would be tough to fake. DC has also been labeling the ratio (e.g. 1:100) in the UPC box recently so that is another way to track the specific variation).

The King Spawn #1 signed variant came with a special certificate that would allow for SS Grading - maybe that's a new thing and the same here?

Hey Vinny… a user on ePack sent a 50 book shipment home and says a lot came damaged. He noted that a large portion of the books were wavy/warped on the top/bottom within the slab. Have you noticed any “waves” on any of the books in your shipment? He said his best book in the 50 book shipment would be lucky to grade an 8.

The only thing I noticed was a couple seemed to have bends near the spine inside the soft slab. Nothing major but obvious.

I'm not experienced with comic grading like I am with sportscards but mine all looked easily in the 9s and many I might guess 9.8.

The user mentioned he sent home 20 copies of Midnight Suns and they were all jacked up. I went through the scans of the ones still on ePack and you can see some that are “mis-slabbed” like this one that shoots above the indented spot the comic is supposed to fit in:

Of the 42 comics I got shipped to me 6 have slight issues. Everyone of the comics sits properly in the soft slab. The slight issues are mostly a bent corner with one having a bend near the middle staple. Nothing looks terrible, as if they were mishandled.
Overall I’m pleased,

PS: it will be interesting to hear of anyone asking for replacements.

Thanks Vinny… maybe the bulk of the issues are confined to Midnight Suns 1 … but it makes me feel a tad better you only had issues with 6 of 42. So no “waves” noticeable when looking at top and bottom of books from angle? They lie flat not rippled?

Hopefully they treat the ratios with a little extra TLC!

They are promoted as uncirculated but human hands probably have to load the slabbing machines. I think I could grade half of mine and get 9.6s and 9.8s.

Thanks for that pic. I didn't know there was other people on the internet talking bout these comics from c4f lol.

Although now I'm def willing to bet my Nightwing comic that I posted a page or so ago is def damaged. Based on the scan that thing was crooked in a way I couldnt even figure out how it happened.
