Love how some people still think Chip Kelly is an idiot...
Wouldn't say Chips an idiot, but even you should see how those numbers are likely to go down this year just because of the signings of his biggest players this year Kiko - Missed all of last season due to injury Bradford - Missed most of the last two seasons due to injury Murray - On again off again injuries in his career Mathews - Same as Murray And that's the problem with his off season plan. His nutrition specialist reputation is going to be on full display this season. If those guys don't miss any time this year I'm going to be shocked and likely a believer. |

Still, being #1 in the NFL over the 2 seasons Chip has been here says something. There was a good article I read about Chip picking up all the guys with injury history, basically that he is hedging his bets on potential value and upside. Sort of like drafting a few sleeper RBs at the end of a fantasy draft. If even one of them pans out it's going to be huge for your team, and if not you haven't invested too much in them so it's not going to kill your chances. |
Have a fair amount of Eagles fan friends, their optimism in player health is somewhat entertaining

Even this Redskin fan admits given the choice between Choice A - Nick Foles, Lesean McCoy, cash money Choice B - Kiko, Bradford, Murray, Mathews I would also choose B knowing what we know about them. It's a risk however for sure and expecting them all to stay healthy is a bit of a leap of faith. If it works out he's made his team better and that's the job he has to do. Even if this fails miserably and all players get injured again or just doesn't play up to expectations it won't kill the Eagles long term and just means they will be drafting a QB next year so for a one year experiment he could have done worse. The only time I thought he might have completely lost it was all of the Mariotta talk and what he was willing to give up for him. That blew my mind |

You constantly put down Twitter and you've said that you don't even have one... you use just a few examples that people posted on this forum as a reason to hate it. Schefter has almost 3.9 million followers... I doubt he'd get the pic and post it 30 seconds later if its a risky move. He must have contacted someone who knows something. |
Forgive me if this was already posted.....scanned the thread and didn't see it.
Not just JPP with the Giants, but a SECOND NFL player blew off his fingers with fireworks. CJ Wilson (NC State), formerly with Chicago Bears currently with Tampa Bay Bucs. Yup! This picture goes back to at least 2011 This is not for the faint of heart but it is from the source these "JPP" pics were lifted from. Fireworks Injuries |

Damn. If he doesn't see the field this season, I hope he gets to keep playing next year. I'd love to see him in a Cowboys uniform somehow. JPP always reminds me of the 2011 Playoff race. Caused a safety, forced fumble, AND blocked the game tying FG in a pivotal game against my Cowboys...almost singlehandedly willing the Giants into the Playoffs. Have to respect him. |
Now I really want to see it

Having a father that lost 2 fingers in a saw mill accident I can get a visual lol
With the new information he still made the right choice of not signing his tender imo |

wow he literally has 1/4 of a thumb :(
|
Poor dude. Worse than I thought it was.
|
His hand looks like ET.
|
Not as bad as I expected.
|
I giggled not because he got hurt.. but he said it was "just the tip" which inherently makes me laugh.. but then when i saw his thumb.. its like just a nub..
